The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, offering tea when I arrived after getting off the CAT in Yarmouth. Breakfast was made to order in the morning for all the guests and we all sat together and shared where we were going and things to do in Nova Scotia. It being my first night there I was happy to add to my list of places to go and things to see. Comfortable bed in a spacious room, one of three on the second floor that shares a bathroom. I fell asleep listening to the water on the beach and a soft fog horn in the distance. I felt like I was staying with friends. The location was gorgeous, a great start to my trip.

As I mentioned, one shared bathroom for the three guest rooms. It wasn't an issue for me but I know some people who wouldn't like it so just be aware.

Breakfast was delicious- several tasty options, all homemade. We enjoyed coffee on the back deck overlooking the water. Spent an enjoyable evening hour visiting with the owners and other guests. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer! As well, Beatrice had excellent recommendations for food and places to visit and tour nearby and where to stop along our drive back to Halifax.

The best place we have stayed at inNova Scotia! Beautiful location, a fantastic room in an amazing house and you’re made to feel like part of the family! If I could give 20/10 I would! Breakfast is also superb, eggs straight from the hens! Hosts knowledge of the area is brilliant, do listen to them 😁

Having to leave!

The location was right on the bay 15 minutes from town and provided for a relaxing setting. Our proprietors prepared breakfasts offering us a variety of choices. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and the captain shared many insightful stories about the local fishing industry.

Staying at the Argyle by the Sea with George and Beatrice was such a delight. Salt of the Earth they are ,and we were blessed to have met them! Great room and very comfortable beds. Awesome view and a delicious homemade breakfast by Beatrice and her hens👍🏼 Definitely recommend! Hope to come back for a visit!

This was one of the best stays I had during my trip to Nova Scotia. I was welcomed with so much warmth by Beatrice and George. The B&B is located in such a beautiful area, overlooking the water. It was lovely to sit on the terrace in the evening with a glass of wine, watching the sun set. The room was very spacious with a large bed, and had a stunning view towards the water. I had a great night sleep.

Beatrice and George were phenomenal! Great location, great view of the sea, amazing breakfast. Beatrice and George were very informative about the area and recomended best places to go see. Beatrice made us a reservation for dinnner upon our arrival to the Red Cap family restaurant, food was delicious.. They ensure all guests questions are answered and guest needs are fully met. We enjoyed spending time in their family room chatting with other guests, playing trivia games together. Beatrice and George were always available to answer any questions anytime.. After a long day of walking we certainly enjoyed sitting on their couches. They were so comfortable! Rooms were very spacious and bed was so comfortable! We highly recommend the Argyle by the Sea. We will certainly be returning!! The Argyle by the Sea deserves more than a 10 out of 10 rating! Thanks to Beatrice and George they made our trip very memorable!!! We stayed in the second floor King Suite and it was very quiet and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the homemade bread and jams along with delicious bacon and fresh eggs for breakfast. The location was in the lowlands, not far from Yarmouth. Great views and just yards from the water. The owners were very gracious and very welcoming.

I can't think of anything I didn't like.

An excellent location for experiencing rural Nova Scotia and especially the Tri-County area. The hosts are very welcoming and attentative, serving breakfast personally for each guest. Best recommendations.

Stunningly beautiful. Huge old, well maintained house sitting right next to the water. Room was absolutely beautiful, quiet, comfortable. Gorgeous old furniture. Beatrice and George are so friendly. I sat and chatted with them and thoroughly enjoyed their company and conversation. Down to earth, welcoming people who told me how much they loved to share their home and it shows. Fantastic breakfast.
