We loved the scenic views, the beautiful property, the rooms, the 'oh so comfy' beds, the friendly service and helpful tips from our host. Unfortunately the weekend we came, dining was on a limited basis and restricted to certain times, so we were unable to eat in the restaurant for dinner, however 3 of us had the breakfast for $18 each. It was superb! Definitely worth the price.
Some of our party had trouble with the coffee machines. I think clear instructions in the rooms for guests would be helpful. As mentioned previously, we all loved the breakfast, but didn't like the restrictive time slots. I think it would be more beneficial to have breakfast just served from 8-10.30 am, rather than just 2 choices of times.

Good communication with Lodge staff. It was helpful to be forewarned about how long it would take to get off the CAT and go through customs and reminded of the time change. Great breakfast and good dinner. These cost extra but were convenient as there wasn't much else around. The lodge grows its own vegetables. Great being able to eat outside on the deck. It was restful being right beside the water and in a quiet location after our long drive. Liked being able to have the window open and shut off the noisy a/c. Seeing a less visited part of Nova Scotia was interesting. We enjoyed walking at Pubnico point.
Not being able to get dinner the night we arrived because it was too late for the lodge, one Yarmouth restaurant was closed due to staffing issues and the other had a long wait time. We could have gotten some room service items but chose to eat what we had with us. Really don't like memory foam mattresses! Luckily it was a topper we could remove and sleep on the firmer mattress. Acadian village and Cafe du Crique were closed the days were were there unfortunately.

Very nice property on the beach. Dog friendly which was amazing! the food was delicious as well, definitely worth eating at the restaurant while staying there. Elana was very helpful and hospitable.
The walls are a little thin, so it was easy to hear other guests coming/going at night. The breakfast was delicious, but a little on the pricey side.

Great place to stay when visiting around south shore. Ye Olde Argyler Lodge is right on the ocean with fabulous ocean views - even from the rooms. We enjoyed a huge delicious breakfast from their bright diningroom with big windows overlooking the ocean. There’s also a nice big veranda so you can enjoy your coffee/ drinks outside
nothing - everything was great!

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable! They have a good selection of food in the restaurant downstairs.
The power supply gets overloaded quickly. If you run the aircon and anything else at the same time the power will trip. Our power tripped multiple times throughout the night.

We arrived right off the ferry and the owners made sure we had what we needed to get into our room after hours. THe location was so nice. We wish we had more time to explore the area before we had to leave.
we have no negative thing to say

The owners & staff are all so nice & will do whatever they can to help their guests have an enjoyable stay. The breakfast & dinner options were great and the food is absolutely delicious. They use fresh ingreients whenever possible from their own garden. The Lodge has a very relaxing atmposhere and there is a nice deck to sit on to gaze at the ocean or to watch the sunsets. It's only about 1/2 hour drive to go to Cape Sable Island where you can enjoy the most beautiful white sand beaches. The rooms are comfortable with a nice cozy bed too. You won't be disappointed !!
Nothing.

Fun location! On the coast, old boats and ships and ocean to wake up to. Cute little inn, each room had individual washrooms even though they were all very unique. Restaurant was cute and accommodating even after they were closed.
Check in could have been smoother. The gentleman handed me a clipboard of already filled out other guest information, then left my information on the desk in the open too. There was a girl that seemed like she was running the show, waiting tables, cleaning in the kitchen or directing, checking guests in and dealing with guest requests and inquiries. She seemed like she had the whole show on her but she was doing awesome!

Very clean and incredible staff. Good access to what we were interested in viewing. Beautiful views from the wraparound decking
Our bed sloped to the centre, one small window fairly high so quite dark. Little airflow so required the a/c to be on for sleeping or leave it off but then it got hot. Only one bath towel and washcloth per person for 2 nights
