Our room had a beautiful view of the lake. It was large and the bed was very comfortable. But most of the staff were extremely friendly. The housekeeping staff were amazing.

There are a few updates that are required. Also there seems to be some turmoil and the restaurant. The coffee was too weak and we told our server. She said that others have complained but the new manager said it was fine. So we paid $5.50 for 2 cups of weak coffee. But that was only on the day that the new restaurant manager was there. And the new owners from Texas need to know that we should be able to buy a bottle of Nova Scotia wine at a resort in Nova Scotia! It's our last night here and we're drinking wine for Australia.

Location, nice restaurants, comfortable bed. I was just here overnight so can’t really comment on many if the facilities but by first blush appearance, the pol, golf course and grounds al, seemed well maintained.

There was nothing I disliked. Everything was comfortable and clean in my room though I thought its appearance was dated and would benefit from a renovation in the near future. Lovely spacious room however.

We stayed in one of the cottages which was great and a bit more private. The food at the restaurant was good but a bit pricey on some of the dishes.

Unfortunately, we had to move cottages mid-stay (not the fault of the resort), and the couch in the second cottage was not very comfortable compared to the couch we had in the previous cottage.

The breakfast and dinner were really good, the activities were fun, and it has a nice view of the Bras d’Or Lakes.

I didn’t like how the booking system was sort of mismanaged. The hotel called me and told me that I was supposed to check out the day I received the call, but i specifically booked to check out few day after. Luckily, they managed to fix this issue and let me stay in the same room.

The view was amazing, the food in the restaurant was good, the staff was super kind and helpful, the room was big, there was a small balcony, the bathroom was large and the beds comfortable.

The pillows were on the large size so a bit of a neck cramp in the morning, the tap in the bathroom didn’t allow for all the water to come up the shower head, and as silly as this sounds the restaurant presentation of the food was so fancy that I was confused on what was what.

Location was lovely and we really enjoyed the chalet cabin. Also the amenities, giving us the ability to cook. I’d come here again. The restaurant and food were excellent and the mojito was the best I’ve had anywhere. staff were all extremely helpful and quick in response, really impressive.

Not so much the property as a couple of small things, and we realise that getting up and running again after Covid is not easy. so these are not complaints so much as things we noticed, but they didn’t mar our stay. Could not get the barbecue to light - maybe needs a new battery. Fridge opens the wrong way, so chairs have to be shifted. Bathtub could use some non-slip stickers. Light over front door is blown. Sofa bed needs attention - I think someone bent the front part of the frame, so I had to get help to open it out. Straightening the front of the frame should help. Also it REALLY needs a vacuum and clean around the inside and moving parts.

Cabin was as advertised. It was quiet, mostly due to the time of year. Everything offered was available. The wifi worked, the television worked. the kitchenette was stocked with a few dishes and way to clean them. Overall sparse but, as advertised. Very clean. The cabins are exactly that, cabins. Don't expect much more. The view of Bra dor lake is amazing.

Television channels are VERY limited. Wifi is ok but, slow. Remember the resort is in the country, away from any store or restaurants within close proximity. There is a limited selection of items in the hotel, there is a restaurant in the hotel. I did not use either but, they are available. Do not use the cabin facilities if you are expecting a luxurious stay. See what the rooms in the hotel have to offer if you are looking for that kind of experience.

Stayed here as a stop over on our way to Cape Breton. The check in was easy and the staff was great. We had dinner there and the food was really good. Pool was nice. Great views of the lake. Even if you don't play golf, you should come here.

Place was much smaller then expected. Meal a little over priced and you have to pay for morning breakfast. No free coffee available. All small stuff.

I thought it would be closer to other places to find a place to eat beside the resturant on the property. Would have been nice if breakfast started earlier but since you had to pay for it we left early. Would have been nice to have a free coffee in the lobby.

Nested in a quiet area with waterfront, one literally has to travel 10 km from the main road to reach here. The place is wx ellent for a romantic getaway. City dwellers will realize how many stars are visible at night with a clear sky, even with a bit of lighting around.
