Don't even hesitate. This place is amazing! What we loved: The location (quiet area close to the sights), the beautiful design, Paula (the owner) was amazing and very helpful and accommodating. There were 3 of us and we were in Cerro Alegre which spanned the whole front of the top floor. It was a 1 bedroom with an extra bed in the living area. There was a sitting room which was great for hanging out. The breakfast was really good with eggs, fresh cut fruits, freshly squeezed juice, fresh bread. Even our vegan friend was accommodated with avocados instead of eggs. Paula joined us for drinks one evening and it was lovely to get to know her, her business, her vision, the city, etc. She and her staff were around but knew when to be there when you needed help. We felt very much welcomed and were very comfortable.

We loved everything about this guesthouse. Lovely warm welcome from Paula. We stayed in the loft room facing the street. No noise at all. We could sleep with the windows open and a lovely sea breeze coming in. Best nights sleep I've had in 4 months of travel! Large double, very comfortable bed, fast wifi and a great hot/ powerful shower. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Home made eggs, toast, blueberry muffins and granola with yogurt. Lovely coffee and freshly squeezed orange. Really good. Set in a great part of town. Paula was in touch via WhatsApp. Thank you Paula you are a superstar. 100% will be back.

That we had to check out!

Great location with restaurants, cafes and street art just around the corner. You can even enjoy walking in the barrio early in the morning before groups etc. show up. Comfy bed, super clean. Staff was very warm-hearted and friendly! Breakfast was delicious and sufficient. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Overall amazing! A minor suggestion: One could choose between different add-on options, such as fruits, granola, egg or avocado, that came with the breakfast. Would be nice, if one would not need to choose and could get a little bit of all options.

We stayed as a family of three for 4 nights to discover Valparaiso and surroundings. Paula and her team made us feel right at home from the start - providing a lot of local recommendations from restaurants to sightseeing. The rooms are spacious and we loved the design - and had a great view of the city and the sea from our window. And the breakfast was superb :) The location is very convenient - right at the top of Cerro Alegre next to some great restaurants, surrounded by street art and viewpoints. We hope stay again some time!

We had the "Superior Double Room with Sea View" and loved the fantastic views and the high ceilings. The room was immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. The guest house has really nice common areas particularly outside in the courtyard. Paula was an awesome host. She let us check in early, and let us leave our luggage for the afternoon after checking out. She gave us some great suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The location was very convenient - very close to a lot of great restaurants and attractions.

The location is great. It's close to cafes, restaurants and corner shops. It was easy to get a Uber in front of the guest house. I booked two rooms for my family for one night. Superior Double Room with Sea View and Superior King Room with Sea view. I think the total sapce size is the same but the King room's layout is more spacious. From the double room you can see the small rooftop terrace directly. You can see palm tree, the ocean, and hill from the both rooms. The bed was very comfortable, there was a wall mounted heater (we didn't use it though). We arrived a bit earlier than the check in time we messaged. We rang the doorbell a couple of times but no one was available. Later when we came back, I just callled the owner and she responded immediately. She is very friendly and the breakfast she prepared was great . The quantity of the breakfast was generous.

There is an old dust smell (all our family felt it)in the building but over a night we all got used to it. The room is spotless and the bed is comfortable though. It was a shame that the neighbor (next to the Superior double room) practiced their band singing (drum and guitar as well) in their back garden until very late. We were exhausted after a long walk but woke up a few times. We spend Saturday night for your reference. Other than the music at night, the guest house is great and the neighborhood was safe and peaceful.

Let's start with breakfast ... it was healthy, plentiful, and delicious. Served in a historic room with a view of the walkway to the garden. Wonderful way to start the day. Location? Near the top of the hill, above most of the painted stairways and murals. Make sure your legs are strong!!! It was on a very quiet side street, but near to popular eateries. The garden? We returned early evening to avoid potential safety issues. After the hike back up the hill, the garden and a choice of cold drink under peach trees, was the perfect way to wind down after all our activity. Warning -- You need to be able to walk a lot, a whole lot of steps. The landscape is at a 45-60 degree angle. Our room was an addition 26, low-riser steps once we made it back. Everything is within walking distance, but it NOT level. We loved every minute! Hosts? Could not be any more accommodating and gracious. We felt welcomed and cared for. All our needs were met, even when it meant adjustments/changes on their part. We left feeling like we had met real people who care.

I missed having a place to write when in our room. The interior architecture was "historical" with high ceilings, but it has all been updated to a more minimalist finish. This left the room spacious feeling, but a bit lonely for me.

This was a wonderful place to stay during our time in Valparaíso! Location was perfect, room was super clean and had lovely views of the water and city. The delicious breakfast was a great start to our days and Paula was super friendly and helpful to us during our stay. Totally recommend New Voga Guesthouse and we will be back! :) Thank you again Paula for making our stay in Valparaíso a memorable one!

Stunning period property which is beautifully restored. Paula was an amazing host giving plenty of suggestions on where to go and what to do and provided us with a delicious breakfast. Quiet room with an extremely comfortable bed, great shower and immaculately clean with lovely sea views.

Paula, who runs the guesthouse, is spectacular and takes extra-special-care of guests. Delicious breakfast every day, we never left hungry. Beautiful, historic neighborhood with tons of restaurants, galleries, and shops in easy walking distance. Direct access to two funiculars, one of which takes you right down to the puerto train station, allowing easy access to the rest of the city. Beautiful historical house. Wifi and TV were great. Lovely courtyard full of plants. Great for relaxing. Rooms cleaned daily. Beautiful views. Also a cat may visit you.
