Fantastic location in the heart of Beijing. 5 minutes walking distance to TianAnMen square. Lovely small street restaurants next to it and also QianMen Avenue with lots of super interesting shops. The hotel is located in a classical Beijing Hutong neighborhood. Very beautiful surrounding. Friendly staff which tries to communicate even though language barrier. You can keep your luggage with them after check out.
Room is ok in its size but the bathroom is really a challenge. Basically you cannot move much around inside. Thet being said it’s good enough to do what you have to do. Shower itself is clean and alright.

There are three amazing things about this place: location, vibe, and staff. 1. Location. This is the only place so conviniently located where you can stay for such a price. 2. Vibe. Located directly in one of the hutongs, it is an old style building with courtyards, lantenrns, huge Buddha and grumpy fluffy cat. 3. Staff. We had a trouble with our room: it was not really clean (found hair in the bathroom!), there was a tobacco smell and, most important, the window was broken and it was super cold. So we asked to change the room and suddenly they gave us an upgrade to a bigger room with a sofa and nice bed, more space, and absolutely clean. Overall, it is 100% value for money. Rooms are old and look kind of tired but you are provided with everything you need: slippers, shampoo and shower gel, towels, dental kit, kettle and A/C, and the bed is quiet comfy.
The first room was kind of dirty. The second room was clean and nice. It leads us to 50% possibility of getting a clean room. On the other hand, the guys from the reception would probably help you in case og bad luck.

The location was perfect being just a couple of minutes from back streets full of places to eat and shop, 10 mins from tianemen Square and close to 2 metro stations. It was so lovely to stay in a traditional old Chinese style building. We had a family room on the 3rd floor which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Cleaners came every day replacing bottles of water and toilet paper. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They made sure they ordered taxis for us and arranged for 4 of us plus luggage to be able to get a taxi to the airport on time. We would definitely here again.
The beds are quite firm which we liked but if you are used to soft mattresses it is a bit different. There is no lift so carrying bags up and down to the 2nd or 3rd floor can be tricky. But it's a traditional old building so what do you expect?!

This was a lovelu hotel, with amazingly helpful staff. Worth keeping in mind, this was my forst time in China so I knew nothing about how to order food and reserve tickets to see places. The staff were super helpful, couldn't have done it without them. The facilities were good, not great, but the location is simply amazing, can't imagine how it could be any better. If you want to see actual Beijing, be close to Tienanmen square, Forbidden Palace, Heaven Temple , this is the place to be. All can be done on foot, less than 1km from everything.
The room was quite nice, bathroom facilities excellent and you can see people put effort in them, but the room walls themselves, they could use a coat of paint. Come on guys, it's almost a 10/10 hotel.

Great location. Close to subway and City bus. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Very close to Tian an men Square. Friendly and helpful recepection staffs. Cleaning staffs did their best to keep the place neat and clean. Mr. Hwan has a kind heart and he is a very polite person, always helps all customers with a smile. Ms. Ashley speaks English, was a great help to get good advice and clear idea about how to find location and other things of interest. She made reservations for us to visit Tian an men Square, Summer palace, National Museam. She also helped my wife to purchase many things from online websites using her own account and took delivery on our behalf.
There was no freezer in the room. No elevator, you have to take stairs. Hotel accepts credit/debit card and local currency but foreign currency not accepted.

The location was fantastic, although it is not accessible by car as it is located in a narrow alley, so some walking is required. But it is located in the middle of da Shan lan jie where you can find almost all the delicious food of Beijing. Rooms were very well-kept and clean and comfortable.
Nothing really, but do take note that the security is very tight. I’m not sure whether it’s due to New Year’s Eve, but visitors are not allowed and every luggage has to be opened and scanned upon check in.

Amazing location, variety of restaurants and shops nearby. Close to subway station and walking distance to Tian‘anmen square, the national museum and the forbidden city. Room was functional with well working heating for the cold months. Room a little small, would recommend for guests that are planning on spending the better portion of the day exploring the city.
The bed was a little hard for my liking. There is no cabin around the shower so the bathroom gets wet all over when showering.

Great hotel in a traditional style building with friendly staff and the Tianmen square in walking distance.
Make sure to physically bring your credit card once you used it for booking. Cardless payment via Google wallet is not possible and it took me a while to contact my bank afterwards to release the blocked deposit money.

Location is great! Very close to the centre and major attractions including the tourist shuttle bus to the Wall. Staff were very helpful. They helped with booking a tourist attraction, taxi etc.
The bed mattress was a bit saggy in the middle. Bigger folks might find the shower small, but I'm smallish and it was fine for me. I couldn't make the WiFi work.
