Location fantastic. Stuff friendly.

Rooms need full mirrors. Bathroom and hallway needing mirrors & hooks and chairs maybe. Lacking storage, so all stuff were laying in suitcase on the floor. Front line staff need training on tourist attractions etc to guide overseas tourists.

There's a Chinese expression: "麻雀雖小,五臟俱全" “A sparrow may be small, but it has all the five organs”. This applies very well to this hotel. Even though the overall building is small, it has a charming and beautiful library, with a hidden 2nd-floor balcony garden, and an artistically decorated hallway gallery. The rooms are also comfortable and roomy (We are a family of six, and we stayed in the Li Yuan Two Bedroom Suite.) They also offer unlimited free expressos (with an expresso machine), and cold bottled drinks in the lobby. The staff are amazing. During our stay, Tang Tang and her colleagues help us in many different situations. For example, You need to have a local Chinese phone number to make registration for Tiananmen Square. We didn't have one. So Tang Tang helped us to make the registration with her number. Her colleague also went the extra mile in helping other visitors set up their Alipay accounts (Almost impossible to buy/pay for stuff without it). The cleaning staff ladies are also very friendly and gracious to our children, who unfortunately made most of the messes that they cleaned up. And of course, Pudding (布丁) the cat became the prime attraction for our kids and made us feel at home. The location is excellent. It is about a 5-minute walk with many local eateries with a wide range of Chinese cuisine from different parts of the country. It becomes a lively place for a late-night snack/meal. It is also a walkable distance to a grocery store (~10 mins), Starbucks/McDonalds (~15 mins), and Wangfujing Street (20-30 mins).

Not much. Maybe Wifi that has a built-in VPN to go around the government firewall?

Location is very convenient. Relatively short walk (12m) to multiple subway lines, in walking distance from Wangfujing and cycling distance to almost all attractions in central Beijing. Given the size of Beijing, that's a pretty great feature. The neighbourhood itself is a cute old Hutong and features plenty of shops for all kinds of budgets. The staff were friendly. The overall design of the place was also nice. The bed was comfortable (not as hard as you would find in many places in China, though definitely not too soft either). The entire place also felt clean throughout. Overall, I can definitely recommend this place as a good 'home base' for visiting Beijing.

I found the room just a little small: I could not lie my (admittedly very large) suitcase flat, which was a little inconvenient. Some parts of the furnishing looked a little bit worn, though this latter point did not affect the quality of my stay. There was no daily cleaning of bed sheets, but they do refresh towels and the like. This I personally found totally acceptable.

A Wonderful Stay at a Great Hotel Our stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful. The room was very nice—spacious, clean, and comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making us feel right at home. The bathroom was especially impressive, with a modern, well-designed toilet that added to the overall comfort and luxury of the stay. A special mention goes to Coco, the receptionist, who made our experience even better. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Her warm welcome and attention to detail truly made a difference. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere on a good location.

Always pleased with my stays here, and this was no exception. This is an affordable and always improving craft hotel, not like a major international chain, and it's run by dedicated locals who want you to remember the character of their community and outstanding personal friendliness. Every time I need assistance with anything (especially because my Chinese language skills are poor), the staff demonstrate the best of what hotel support for travellers should mean. Lishi Hutong is a largely residential and quite quiet hutong/alley in central Beijing, and most of central Beijing's major attractions are within a comfortable (and interesting) half to 3/4 hour walk, often less. A convenient subway stop is maybe 10 minutes walk away, and there's lots of great shopping and food choices in the very immediate area. And don't neglect wandering around the neighbouring hutongs, too--you'll get a feel for Beijing life that you won't find any other way.

This is a perfect location to move to any place in beijing. All are in 15 mins by taxi. More important the team in this hotel was amazing. Alex, Qiyan. Liu,,Alex,Jiahui You can't order a taxi cause as a foreigner you can't use the app so they do it for you and they find you a cash accepts one cause you can't pay by WEpay or Alipay. You can't go back to the hotel cause again you can't order a taxi so you call them and they help you. You cant rent a bike which makes your life easier cause you can't use the app you ask them and they fix it for you.... Forget bed and bathroom comfort people are more important. If you are a foreigner this is the right place for you to stay. Thank you very much

The price comparing to what we got in that location was very good. We needed to half extended hours before our checkout time and the hotel was able to provide it to us without hesitation to meet our needs without extra charge. On top, we were offered soft drinks during our wait before leaving the hotel. Staff very supportive specially Coco who assisted us professionally and she was able to talk English better than all the other hotels in Chins which made our conversation much easier!

We stayed for a day only however, we didn’t have any complaints.

We liked the location- interesting things within walking distance. Easy to catch a taxi on the main street. Subway was about 15 minute walk. We liked the 2 spacious bedrooms and it was nice to have a common area near the back of the hotel to sit. The staff was very kind and friendly. We appreciated all the bottled water, fresh towels and keeping an eye on our luggage after we checked out.

The only things I didn’t like about the property is that breakfast and laundry facilities were listed as being available on the website. As we’ve been traveling for a few weeks, I booked this room partially because I thought I could do our laundry. This made for an inconvenience and difficulty having clean clothes.

The hotel service is enthusiastic, the hygiene is clean and tidy, the rooms are warm and spacious, the hotel location is superior, the room cleaning staff are also very friendly, the front desk lady Xiaowang ,Xiao zheng ,Xiaoliu are very friendly, the room prices are also very affordable, and the cost-effectiveness is high! What I got was not only a comfortable and pleasant stay experience, but also a human experience. This is my evaluation of this hotel, fantastic!
