This hotel is absolutely splendid. It occupies an area as large as a neighbourhood. It's right within Lijiang Ancient Town, possibly the most beautiful old town in China. There's a main building with the lobby, the restaurants, the cafe and the spa but the rooms are scattered around the property is small pavilions. I got a free upgrade to a Premium Room which was the most beautifully decorated hotel room I've ever had. The room was spacious, very quiet and had everything I needed. I felt that the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. There was a bathtub and a shower in the room. A room of this quality would cost around 1800 € in Europe. The choice at breakfast was huge. Overall this is a luxury hotel, well above the average of the worldwide five-star standards, yet you would need to pay considerably more for this quality almost anywhere in the world.

Although the front desk staff spoke good English, most other staff didn't and tried to avoid communication with the English speaking guests.

location is at the edge of the ancient city[one of the corner] [which is pretty big]. Easily accessible by walking. Just a few minutes walk from the Main Hotel entrance towards the ancient city , there is a restaurant which serves pretty good food. Bed is comfortable and you can request for pillows with aromatic smell infused. Oooh...not to forget the spa bath tub which is relaxing to soak in. Good place and definitely a yes.

No that i can recall except maybe the breakfast should have a change every alternate day. I have been staying for 3 nights and have been feasting on the same kind of foods daily.

Location was perfect for visiting the ancient town. Breakfast was good. The layout of the hotel was interesting and liked that there were several entrances into the old town. Staff were attentive especially Kokole (? spelling) who cleaned the three rooms we occupied. On the last night, she even left the door to the safe opened as a reminder that I had items in the safe. Very thoughtful. The hotel compound was beautiful and well maintained. Shame there were no balconies to sit and view the gardens from the upstairs rooms.

The shower ran cooler in the middle of showering and the toilet smelled a little of drains.

The hotel is gorgeous, with a 'to-die-for' view of the Jade Dragon Snow mountain. Very picturesque, and beautiful and well appointed rooms and grounds, and conveniently located, right next to the Lijiang Ancient Town. A special shout out to John from the concierge, who was fantastic and so very helpful with recommendations on side trips.

Beautiful elegant property that is very oriental, reflects ancient china architecture. Staff at front desk is friendly, and the staff at the asian restaurant is very friendly- i have to mention Winnie, the restaurant staff who served us who is extremely pleasant, friendly and courteous! She made us feel very comfortable and welcomed, and was very observant that my partner and i preferred vegetables to meat/seafood when we had our tomyum buffet(which is excellent, comparable to Singapore’s standard), and served extra basket of vegetables. She gave us a free pizza on her own accord because it took them 15 mins to serve us buffet although honestly it wasn’t long?!? Their porters, front desk staff were so helpful!! One of them (i cant remember his name) took the extra effort to help us book e- tickets to yu long xue shan, when we didn’t know we had to do so in advance via baidu app. Will definitely be back again, if i come back to Lijiang.

The location is excellent, with a small entrance directly to the Old Town and easy access from the main street which convenient for guests travelling with luggages. The hotel blends modern comfort with traditional architecure beautifully. The breakfast offered a great variety.

The property was amazing!! We upgraded our room so all the amenities were included and it was really worth it. The staff were exceptional, especially (Bena and Ricardo)who payed so much attention to make sure we were happy with everything and well taken care of. We highly recommend this property! A+

This hotel compound is AMAZING! Definitely one of the best in Lijiang, massive value for money. Our room was huge, like a small apartment - with beautiful ancient Chinese interior design. It feels like a true Lijiang experience, with gorgeous architecture and the design of the villa compound. Conveniently located right next to Old Town (take the side door). The side door takes you to a quieter area of Old Town (still has all the same stuff, but with fewer crowds). Having the hotel close to the road makes it possible to travel out of Lijiang for day trips easily. Has a gym, pool, good restaurants, a cafe with mountain views....you really couldn't ask for any more. Also this is the first hotel I've seen in China give your multiple free soft drinks with your room, it's a nice touch. They also give you authentic Yunnan tea and a tea set in your room to really round out the experience.

Maybe that that location is on the quiet side of old town instead of the nightlife district (nothing a 15 minute walk won't solve) - but the nightlife district isn't really why people go to Lijiang, so it wouldn't be an issue for most people.

The staff's service mind is extremely high. We were fortunate to meet Ms. Julie who was both kind and helpful in meeting our requests. Most of all, she even send our forgotten personal cosmetics and toiletries back to us. It's truly beyond the call duty. Definitely 11 out of 10.

The hotel is at a great location just near the ancient city. The lounge bar has the most amazing view of the Jade Dragon Mountain, and it is a great place to have a coffee or a drink both during the day or in the evening. The room is very comfortable, the bathtub is amazing, the whole room feels like a home and cozy. The hotel was great to organize a car to take me to the mountain, with a driver very trustful all day. I would definitely come back to the hotel.

The only issues I had were that my room was much closer to the north gate to the ancient city, but it was closed due to covid. The other issue was the menu for Basil restaurant is very restricted, one of the shortest menus I have seen in a long time.
