The location is purely magical - right next to the river with stunning surroundings. We took a bike trip along the river and the views were out of this world. The staff went above and beyond to support us during the stay - so friendly and helpful. They organised countless unforgettable trips for us. The food was also outstanding. I cannot recommend this place enough: it is a little corner of paradise.

Nothing. It was perfect.

The staff at the Moondance are what made the stay fantastic along with the central location for all the sights and activities we wanted to do. It is quiet, peaceful and ideal for walking or cycling around the area. We did 5-25+ mile bike rides on reasonably priced local rentals provided by the hotel. The staff were attentive, kind, genuine, & warm. The breakfast included was exactly as expected from a rural Chinese location (western options available) and the lunch/dinner exceeded our experience and was reasonably priced and very tasty, we ended up eating in the hotel a lot. We had an excellent stay and wouldn't hesitate about returning. One thing that I didnt see anywhere was the access to the sister hotel the Apsara which about 100m away. Spent a lot of time there also.

Nothing I didnt like at all, was a great stay but it would be important to remember you are visiting rural China when booking and not expect the same level of western food here, which is not a criticism, just that I saw some other negative comments before I booked but found the majority of these baseless.

Good location only applicable for visitor who have private car driving to. Perfect location simply it's close to the joint of Yulong river and Jinbao river. Therefore you able to walk across both rivers with stunning scenery up or down river. 2 independent multistory buildings for guests provide comfortable living experience as local residents for decades. A rear farm plot dedicated for rice plant extremely attractive for urban visitors. Front garden with lovely facilities for BBQ or gathering. Swimmin pool is open and well organized.

Not lifts. Whole body wet while dragging luggage from outside carpark 2pm, 41 degree celces real feel. Meal is not easy available within 2km redial other than hotel serving. Otherwise drive to near restaurants or grocery store.

The hikes in the valleys near the hotel. The rafting on the river Li. The spectacular views from the nearby Moon hill.

I got bitten by Mosquitos while hiking. The hotel room was free of mosquitos, the hotel provides an anti mosquito device

Very kind and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, beautiful area, garden& the pool, free bicycles, coffee, tea, water, available books. AMAZING!

Everything was great, will come back soon! Suggestions: 1) To limit the use of plastics, consider placing a big bottle water dispenser for guests instead of small plastic bottles. 2) A small fridge in the room would be useful.

The Location was lovely in Yangshuo, very quiet place. The staff was very kind and active. They made sure we had a relaxing time. They even got some fireworks for the new years. Very cozy vibe

An awesome hotel surrounded by the best of what Yangshou has to offer. The staff were super friendly and the facilities were spectacular. Our room was big and the bed was super comfortable. The food was really delicious, especially the beer duck.

The Western food, though it is not super important because one shouldn't be going to Yangshou for western food.

The location was wonderful for relaxing by the river, walking around the village and to some landmarks too. The staff were very helpful and friendly!

We would stay again!

We felt like breakfast could be improved, though you will have a little bit of everyone, from fruits to toast, from cereals to bacon. And while the bathtubs are really amazing and spacious, it takes about one hour to fill them.

Everything was amazing at Moondance. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. GREAT value! The main pool was not ready but the sister property next door had a pool and we were allowed to use it. The hotel staff will do everything for you. If they don't have something, they will get it for you. It is right on the river with seating by the water and a floating table, a yard to play in, it was a great location and so peaceful. I don't have the words to explain just how wonderful our stay was. We will be back for a longer stay.

The mattresses are hard, especially on the bunk beds. Of course, this is China so hard beds are not uncommon however a mattress pad would make a huge difference.
