The Bamboo Leaf Hotel is a serene oasis within walking distance of bustling Yangshuo. The hotel staff was simply amazing in helping us with everything from booking tickets and giving us great advice on local activities to organizing a massage for a sore back after a long day of bicycling. In particular we want to acknowledge Flower at the front desk, whose cheerfulness, knowledge, generosity and precise directions were immensely helpful. Also want to thank Paul who communicated with us prior to our arrival with exceptional advice when our travel plans changed several times and he arranged a taxi to meet us at the train station in Guilin. The Bamboo Leaf hotel also had free bicycles for us to use which provided us a beautiful day meandering through the small villages and countryside. The morning breakfast is wonderful with a full Western and Chinese options including the delicious local Guilin soft noodles. We also enjoyed the homemade yogurt and homemade passion fruit jam.  The breakfast waitstaff and cook are lovely people too, so sweet. The restaurant also serves dinner, and the food is top notch. The rooms are lovely, well appointed, spacious and very comfortable. There are great views on the balconies and views from the bed so when you wake up, you are looking out at the magnificent karst scenery. There is a Taiji school nearby, and a cooking school not too far and we had a marvelous lessons at both of those. We had such a lovely time at The Bamboo Leaf Hotel. Highly recommended and magical place!

I like all. It’s all elements making the place perfect one. You must live once in your whole life! Honestly I didn’t have much expectation as it’s post Covid and I can understand all the service needs time to bounce back. After booking, I had messages with their manager Paul, I was impressed by his timely reply and professionalism. Not only his kind service but also his detailed recommendations. When I arrived with my family, just 15 minutes walking from the pier, I was amazed by its modern and nature outlook amongst the green. The receptionists were smiling all the time and always offer helping proactively. The room is big and clean, with green view and far Mountain View. I love it! I swam everyday during the stay, not only the water was clean, but also the chairs and tables around were nice. I think next time I will just stay at hotel and the pool. It’s the total package making the hotel difference. The food especially the restaurant at their roof is awesome. Auntie Zhou was great, so hard working and I can feel her passion in delivering the best food to the customers. Breakfast has many options and we also tried afternoon tea and dinner. The pizza, pasta and the soup were super delicious. They have the high standard.

I thought for 5 minutes and now I gave up. I can’t think single one. Could be it will be better the drop off driver didn’t chat on her phone during driving.

This was the best hotel in China we have stayed in. You can see that the staff is very motivated and does their best to let you have a great time. They arranged great tours for us and gave us valuable information about what we should do. The rooms were fantastic, large and modern. Very clean as well, nothing to complain about. Breakfast was also awesome, great western options - also the restaurant was a rescue for us because in Yangshuo you can’t find any western food except McDonald’s. We would definitely recommend this property to everyone!

Only the location is a bit far from the city, but this was not a problem at all because you can rent a scooter for only 60 RMB or even take the free shuttle from the hotel whenever you need. Probably only the Light show they recommended to us for 280 RMB was not worth it the money (very kitschy, bad artists and less than 1 hour of duration).

The staff was absolutely amazing, they went beyond their duties to make us feel extremely welcome and assisted us with any questions. The facilities were all great and the bikes and escooters all worked very well and got us to many beautiful places around Yangshuo. The food at the hotel is very tasty, great variety as well. The staff assisted us with our transfers to / from Guilin and it all went really smooth. Thank you, this was the best part of our China trip by far!

Would be good to add a few more perks like a sauna, a small jacuzzi and a table tennis and maybe darts, there is plenty of space for it and it would make the experience even better.

The views are undoubtedly beautiful, though somewhat marred by the presence of unconstructed buildings in front of it. The staff was very helpful and attentive, which added to the overall experience. The room itself was extremely comfortable, offering a great space to relax. Overall, it’s a good choice for those prioritizing tranquility and comfort.

The location, while peaceful and ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle, is a bit far from Yangshuo village, which might be inconvenient for travelers wanting easier access to town. Lastly, I found it slightly overpriced for the value provided, considering the mentioned drawbacks.

We really liked the Bamboo Leaf Hotel and the staff, especially Vivianne who helped us with booking tours and borrowing scooters and bikes. She is super friendly, kind, caring, efficient and speaks excellent English which helped us so much! The whole staff was very friendly and helped look after all our needs! We would highly recommend this beautiful, clean, well-designed high-end hotell for the value, incredible service and mostly the delightful staff working here! We would love to stay again if our travels bring us to Yangshuo! Thank you so much from 2 happy Canadians! ,😁🇨🇦

We liked everything!

I really liked it here as a solo female traveller. There were all ladies working here and they spoke very well English. Also very friendly. The room was nice and big and got cleaned every day. The ladies from the restaurant were also very friendly. The food was good too. They Supply you with free bikes which are good to visit the city center. I got an electric scooter for 60 Yuan for a day which was great. Went to Ruyi Peak (recommended) and drove along the river. I had some issues with a paragliding trip I booked (too short for the amount you pay) and the reception staff did their best to help out with that. They even offered me a free desert because I was so dissappointed. If I would stay here again it will not be because of the great room or food or facilities (which are great) but because of the amazing ladies that work here.

We had an amazing stay here. Location is perfect, short drive from Yangshuo centre and very quiet. Facilities were excellent, room was beautiful, bathroom large and well designed. Staff were fantastic, they went out of their way to make us comfortable. Especially the staff in the restaurant. Pool was great, a lovely setting. We loved our stay and we will return. Oh and the food is the restaurant was phenomenal! Didn't expect that. Seriously high quality food. Breakfast was just average but lunch and dinner was top notch.

No cupboard to hang clothes in room. Not a big deal though.

Staff is very efficient, helpful and kind. They speak good english. Breakfast is good. Restaurant is good. Western food As we arrived late, hotel has proposed us to order food in advance and they serve nice hot food when we arrived. Location is good, a little bit far away from the centre, but this is better as this is much more quiet, and as they have a shuttle to go back and forth to downtown to West Street, until 10pm, this is very convenient to go downtown. You just need to book the shuttle 20 minutes early. You can also walk downtown for around 20 minutes. They were the ones to pick us up at Guilin Train Station, book boat cruise on Li River, Light Show and rent ebike for full day very easily and at good prices. They also guided us to find our way when we rented the ebike. Price is very reasonable for everything. View is nice as well. Perfect stay with our family. I recommend 100%.

Hotel staff was realy very helpful, they helped us with arrangement trip to Longsheng Rice Tarraces, transfer to the train station and always when we had problem - they recommended us solution. I think we asked for help too often, yet we were always happy to get it. The rooms were very clean with a nice view. The food in the restaurant was very good, you could eat Chinese food as well as Western or vegetarian food! At the end we were even given packed sandwiches to take away for the journey. We had a free shuttle bus to the centre. We also hired an ebike at a good price. Everything was wonderful, I rate every detail a 10!!! If you are a foreigner you will definitely get full care and assistance here!
