Room: Very spacious, cozy, homey - it really felt like I was in China. Well decorated, there's even a tea area. They've provided good products for showering and clean linens. There's a huge TV but we never figured out how to turn it on and we didn't have time to watch anyway because we're always tired from all the activities. Laundry: Laundry powder and use of the washing machine is free. You just hang your clothes on the clothes line on the top floor of the hostel. It is exposed, so just be careful of your clothes because the wind can be strong and will blow away smaller items. It's a challenge doing this during winter. You need a full day for your clothes to dry, but at least it is free. Staff: James is so helpful, booked all our park tickets in advance, gave us restaurant recommendations, and planned our forest park itinerary. He knows how to speak English, but does need a translation app sometimes. Very friendly and accommodating. Location: It's near the Baofeng Lake area, but we didn't have time to see it. There's a restaurant and big convenience store just outside the hostel. You can buy bread, snacks, drinks, clothes and other items. Pharmacy is a distance away but walkable. The area is very quiet and some restaurants are either just closed the whole day, or they close early. Away from the central area.

Room: If it's winter, the heating doesn't really do much because the room is so huge. If you come from a tropical climate, better prepare some cozy pajamas and jacket for sleeping. I wouldn't recommend using the bathroom slippers since they've given me tinea. Laundry: Free, but the area needs to be improved and cleaned.

Big room and soft bed,high speed wifi data,they have clean towel,soap,shampoo,slipper. Great location close to the east entrance of national park,here is the center,so easy to living. We also can try different tea and got tea culture,the also offer good coffee at 15RMB without cup limitation. Generally,he created a very relaxed and family like atmosphere.

Friendly host and great location! Tim was of great help in organizing all local trips, tickets and even ordering the tax. Kind, smiling and helpful. I was so pleased that he helped me organize the trips to Zgangjijajie Park, Tianmen mountain and others. Super responsive on the phone, also whatsapp and helped even remotely when I was already in the mountains. The guesthouse is cozy, clean and with a nice vibe. I loved my room. It was spacious, simple, and comfortable. important that I can open the window and have some fresh air as well. There is plenty of local restaurants and shops around to get by with shopping for food, grocery or gifts. If I come back to Zhangjiajie I will stay again for sure!

Given that the room rates were extremely affordable, I expected no-frills accommodation but was blown away by the quality of our stay. My room was very clean, well-furnished and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable, the shower gels felt and smelt really nice, and the amenities (western-style toilet, AC and hairdryer, etc) worked perfectly. The location is also great, away from the noise of the main road but near the food street and within easy access of Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Zhong Chao and Guojun went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and convenient. They were always on hand to arrange tickets and rides, patiently answered every random question we had, even had tea with me while waiting for my friend to be ready and helped my friend buy medicine when she got sick. I’ve stayed at many hostels/ hotels around the world, but the service here is by far the most thoughtful, thorough, and sincere I’ve ever received.

The room is spacious and clean. It has everything you need. The water gets replenished and the room simply tidied up everyday. There's a kettle and paper cups in the room to make your own hot drinks or you can enjoy kungfu tea at the lobby. Ming was super helpful and nice. He has plenty of info, local advise and will provide a lot of support throughout the day even while you're out exploring.

The inn is located a bit out of the way from town with only an irregular bus line #2 serving the route. I was there for almost 4 days and only managed to catch the bus once, sometimes even after waiting for almost an hour. If you're a solo traveler, it's a difference between 2¥ with the bus and 8-10¥ with a cab. Not a biggie, especially if you travel in a group.

The hotel owner is really friendly and very helpful. He arrangend all our activities and would always be at our service for answering our questions, giving us recommendations and making our travel really uncomplicated. The hotel is located a bit outside the city but in a calm environment and street with a lot of good food and shops nearby. The living room is nicely decorated and offers nice seating for enjoying tea. Our room had a great opportunity to watch movies. Really liked staying there!!

The floor can be a bit cold in winter but the heater helps a lot so no problem.

Excellent value hotel in central of the Wulinyuan area perfect for a trip to Zhangjiajie. The owner/manager Ming was really helpful, going above and beyond any hotel staff I’ve encountered in China in helping us book train and attraction tickets, suggesting itineraries, and being on call for questions/ issues that arose during the day. While Zhangjiajie is undoubtedly beautiful and there were many kind people we encountered along the way, Ming’s advice was invaluable in navigating us away from a number of unscrupulous or distracting characters who would otherwise waste your time or money. Tip: add 1 hour to every estimated waiting/ travel time if you have a foreign passport or struggle with language. Everything look a lot longer due to either incredibly long queue or the extra processes from being a foreigner.

Tim and his team were exceptional in their service!! Tim guided me and my family with everything we needed to know to make our stay in this picturesque town memorable. He went the extra mile and even organised our transport from Yichang to the hotel. The location of the hotel made it convenient to get anything we needed and the rooms were very comfortable. Kudos to Tim and his team! Of the 20 cities we visited in China, this was the very best customer service experience!!

The hospitality of Ming and his family are outstanding. Extremely friendly and helpful for your stay in Wulingyuan. He gave us detailed information about the national park and good restaurants nearby. And he speaks English. The location of the guesthouse is in a small alley, next to the main street, so very convenient and quiet. The room was huge, beds were comfy and clean

A minor issue, the shower doesn't have a curtain which causes a wet floor in the bathroom.

Great accommodation and location! Just a few minutes walk away from many restaurants and convenience stores and you can reach all the main Zhangjiajie sightseeing spots easily from there. The host is very friendly and very helpful. He planned my four days trip and gave me many tips about what to see and do in Zhangjiajie. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the Wifi worked very well.
