The staff were amazing and lovely! My spouse and I were the only people staying as it was Chinese New Year and the staff welcomed us to join them to watch the CCTV gala together. Delicious food, lovely people, and an amazing cultural experience I doubt we could have gotten anywhere else. The room was clean and very nice with hot water and great heating. The check-in area was very comfortable with the heated tables and a lovely view. The staff included English speakers which was very comforting, but the check-in process was so simple that English wouldn't have been needed. It was an amazing stay and we would definitely come back!

I really have no complaints, everything was lovely.

The location was excellent. 2 streets down was the market and we could buy fresh fruit & food. The Teppanyaki roasted duck was excellent. The staff & owner were very pleasant and friendly and helpful esp with our luggage handling. The coffee (double espresso) was excellent. The hotel is located in modern building but the decor was old rustic style with pottery and old television sets everywhere. There were also Chinese teapots and cups on display. Very interesting. Worth a look. And coffee. The rooms were very decent and clean.

We went at the end of February when outside temperatures were 4deg Celsius. The under table heating was great but ambient temperatures were still very cold. One had to brave the cold coming down for breakfast

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The accommodation was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. A special shoutout to Patrick, who went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, he helped us plan our visit to the Avatar Mountains and the Ancient Town, ensuring we made the most of our time. When one of us fell ill, he even assisted in getting the necessary medication. His English is excellent, and he was always ready to help with anything we needed. Another highlight of our stay was Eli’s kindness. Even though breakfast is usually served between 7:30 and 9:30, she was willing to prepare our meal at 6 AM so we could catch our train with a full stomach. We truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture. Overall, this hotel offers not only comfort and cleanliness but also an incredibly warm and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

Wangyi is a charming vintage-style hotel with elegant decor and a unique touch. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are wonderful, and the food is absolutely delicious! If you're a vegetarian, this might be the only place in Zhangjiajie that offers fully vegan meals—even restaurants may not have them. But if you’re not, like me, you’ll still enjoy amazing food! I had such a great time here. The hotel also has volunteers who speak English and Spanish, which is fantastic. Plus, they provide detailed travel guides—so thoughtful! I’ll definitely stay here again next time.

Everything is so nice!

The hotel is located in one of the most commercial streets of the city, with a lot of restaurants, cafes and shopping stores, taxis and Didi are very easy to hire as you are in the city center, the location is convenient for going to the train station, airport, natural park, and all the tourist attractions, The breakfast is good and the installations are also ok, the price is ok comparing with other hotels around, best quality price, all the staff is ver friendly, especially Anine, she was all the time taking care of my logistic needs for going to all the tourist attractions, helping me to book all the tickets and giving me all the information I needed on how to spend my 3 days at Zhangjiajie tourist attractions, this was very helpful and I really appreciate it because she made my time very enjoyable.

Anine was the most amazing host and we couldn't have planned our trip without her! We arrived late on our first night and she stayed up with us to book our day trip for the following day and gave us loads of information for our trip and about the hotel. When we returned from our trip, she spent another long amount of time helping us plan our next day trip and managed to book us a private driver so we could squeeze in everything we wanted to do in time. Although Anine speaks a small amount of English, she has an amazing translator which helped us communicate really well. The hotel has washing machines and dryers which are complimentary for guests to use too. It's in a great location and walking distance to loads of shops and malls.

The hotel was in a convenient location in the center of town, with plenty of access to shops and restaurants. You can also walk down the river front (approx 15 mins walk), which is a pretty place for a stroll during the day and night. For those who don't mind walking, it is also possible to walk to the entrance for Tianmen Shan mountain (35 mins) and to the central bus station from where you can travel to Zhangjiajie National Park (40mins walk). In terms of breakfast, there is only one breakfast option that you can preorder for the morning. When we stayed there, it was eggs, toast, bacon, broccoli, and fruit. It is possible to ask for some tweaks. For example, I am vegetarian so I asked to swap my bacon for an egg. The breakfast is nice, but it is probably cheaper to eat at one of the nearby Chinese breakfast places.

There is a sign on the door of your room warning you not to engage in various illegal activities. The fact that the sign is there did make me worry that people may have done dodgy stuff at this hotel in the past.

I am so glad I chose this inn. The front desk was stylish, the rooms had a Chinese feel, and most importantly, the staff was friendly and impressed. When we checked in, they asked us where we wanted to go around and suggested a route for free, in Chinese or English. We planned to visit Forest Park on the first day and Tianmenshan on the second day, and they suggested a slow route that took an hour the day before. It was also very helpful that we could communicate in English since we were Japanese. Thanks to them, we had a fulfilling trip in a short time and I really appreciate it. I recommend this place to stay for sightseeing in Zhangjiajie.

The staff were excellent. My Mandarin is very limited so having staff who could speak good English was really useful. The manager was delightful and went out of her way to make me feel at home and welcome. I don't think I could ask for more. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. Wi-fi was good. There is a restaurant and the staff are happy to accommodate specific requests - I am vegan, so in a culture which tells heavily on meat, I am not always easy to care for! I stayed 5 nights and was sorry to leave. When I return to Zhangjiajie, I will be booking this hotel.

Not much to dislike, really! If I am being picky, it would have been nice to have a couple of complimentary tea bags and some water in the room when I arrived. The system of turning on electrics and WiFi was new to me! They both had switches next to the bed that looked like light switches, and I had to be shown how to use them. The entrance to the hotel is not obvious and I needed to ring the hotel for help. When I did, somebody immediately came out to guide me.

An excellent hotel in the heart of Zhangjiajie, we were lucky enough to land in this really nice hotel that made our stay very pleasant, the staff was extremely nice and our host Patricio went over the mile to make us feel like home.. he was kind and even invited us for breakfast.. I was so surprised because he spoke Spanish my native language at perfection, so if you need a comfortable place to stay a well located hotel at a good price and a super nice staff that speak your language this is the place to stay.. Thanks a lot for making our stay wonderful
