I had a wonderful stay at El Dorado Hotel in Bogota, Colombia! The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. The rooms were spacious with ample storage and surfaces, making it convenient to organize belongings. The hotel's location was perfect, providing a safe environment and easy access to great restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Plus, the value for the price was exceptional.

The air conditioning was noisy and ineffective. Also breakfast was a little bit confusing because there was a buffet but also a menu which said options were free with the stay, however, nobody came to take our order. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at El Dorado Hotel and would consider staying here again in the future.

The building itself is really nice and is styled internally in a way to represent the country's cultural and natural history with lots of gold and green colouring. The common areas have lots of lush green plants and are really clean, even the elevator is, unusually, nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with tall and wide windows, the bathroom was probably the best of any Colombian hotel I stayed in. The location in Chapinero is leafy and quiet but generally very pleasant, though a bit of a distance from the main sights Bogota has to offer. Staff were helpful and spoke a good level of English.

Breakfast could have been a bit more interesting but was generally nice and adequate.

Good variety and changing dishes on the breakfast buffet. The rooms have a nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel has a very penetrating smell in the lobby that gave me headaches - I dont kow if its a desinfectant or just a room scent, but I hated it. The hallways can be rather noisy. There was an event going on in the restaurant next to the lobby and we could hear the peoples chatter and noise very clearly although we stayed on the third floor. I did not like that it was not possible to open the window even a bit - this gets me claustrophobic.

The location is good for those who aren't familiar with Bogotá and need 'extra reassurance' with regards to safety. Make sure you book a room with breakfast included as this was a great option to keep you going for a full day of exploring! Massive thank you to Jhefry! Be aware Calle 93 is expensive as this is a locally high socioeconomic area. If you're in Bogotá on a budget, this area is still costly.

We stayed at this hotel in a business room for one night prior to our flight back to the UK. From arrival we were treated very well and the room itself was lovely. It has all the facilities in the room that we required and we found it very quiet and comfortable. It is a nice area of Bogota (Chapinero) and when we ventured outside we felt quite safe. When it was time to leave for the airport the hotel organised a taxi for us at a very reasonable rate. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever come back to Bogota. We walked to a restaurant called Piazza Italia Storia D'amore for dinner. It was very popular and we can totally understand why so if you like Italian make sure you make a reservation to avoid disappointment! We were lucky that they found us a table. It really was a great end to a fabulous holiday around Colombia!

Very safe neighborhood, bank, sim card and good very very nearby, breakfast was buffet style with mix of fruit, Colombian food, juices and a few other things that were rotated daily, room had a big window with a full blackout curtain, lobby and breakfast area were very pretty and had a workspace attached, good wifi

A bit expensive but good for value, they were doing some renovation on the floor which made it a little loud while eating breakfast but those were very minor and it was excellent overall.

at check out I told that I did not use the minibar, they wanted me to wait and 1 of them went to the room to check whether I was telling the truth, it just took 2 minutes, so no big deal but it was weird for me, that happened to me first time, normally reception believe you and they can always charge your credit card afterwards if you were not honest, anyway that was the only thing, but I can stay there again, it was a good hotel

I stayed in the hotel for 2+ weeks and I really liked the breakfast. It was really diverse and I tried local food. The staff was super nice and helpful. The location was really good, it was 5 min walk to Park 93 and that`s an area with lots of shops and restaurants.

Not everyone from the staff spoke English but at least they tried.

Comfortable beds in a very beautiful room. Great bathroom. Quality restaurant and an amazing bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Will definitely return and recommend! Best hotel in Bogota that i have been to so far! My compliments to the whole staff.

The price they charged me was a lot higher than it said on booking (where it came with a discount) But it was still worth it and i didn't mention it, so that might have been resolved just by pointing that out during the check-in
