NH is located in the heart of Cartagena's historic center; a city being known for it's warm and tropical climate. It felt like a privilege to enjoy the historic center while still being able to enjoy the fresh and clean rooms when it was getting too warm outside. In the evening, you could easily enjoy Cartegana's nightlife without feeling unsafe.

Our two nights at the NH in Cartagena were quite expensive comparing to other hotels, while services remain very limited. The great location justifies probably the higher rate, though the value for money is not balanced. We were also disappointed we couldn't book a late-checkout since we were island-hopping in the day.

Good location close to many nice restaurants and bars. A bit noisy at night. Staff personnel are utmost friendly and helpful. Bed and rooms are comfortable. Not much space to organise clothes and small table for working. Swimming pool on roof top offers a nice view but was partly out of service

Breakfast could be better but the omelette complete must be tasted. Service is a bit slow but improving after some days

It has a great location in Centro and close to the sea. The roof terrace looks out onto the sea and one of the central squares, great people watching. Also a lovely rooftop pool, great to freshen up day or night time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was great, I noticed non residents coming in to eat there, and the lifts were super fast. An excellent base for exploring Cartagena.

Our taxi booked from the airport never showed, just a bit stressful at the start of a holiday, but we got another one easily enough and taxi fares are very reasonable.

Excellent Location!

Noisy from the street and from some works at the hotel rooptop and nearby. I stayed at the 5 th floor where in laundry, I thnik, and it was a lot of noise from the cleaning personel. Also on the stairs, lot of noise from the HVAC equipment, installed on the rooftop.

Mostly I love about the property was the staff. I mean to the receptionist, the door man, and even the cleaning lady. Everyone was accommodating with a smile very friendly and professional to accommodate all your needs to make my stay comfortable. I absolutely loved it here and the location was perfect to great restaurants, and lots of fun 😉

Absolutely no complaints

A superb location looking over La plaza de los coches languishing in the centro histórico between wonderful Spanish colonial architecture. The hotel is walking distance for most important tourist sites. This includes amazing proximity to cafes, restaurants, bars & clubs. The staff are all very helpful & always pleasant. There is always someone to help out that speaks English.

The property is clean & well maintained & organised well by management staff. The rooftop views & pool are very relaxing. Looking out over amazing Spanish colonial building you just smile with admiration.

The staff was exceptional! They made me feel welcomed and always provided what I needed. The central location was great for walking around.

The location is near all of the action! It was very loud outside the hotel as many people gather inside the walled city. The room air conditioning was hard to regulate.

I have to tell you guys about the most amazing experience I just had staying at NH Cartagena Urban Royal. The venue is perfect in that it's totally central. So much so you almost feel like part of the city's 16th Century history. The classic Spanish colonial buildings are all around you. My room had a view to the clock tower which is in itself picturesque. You are within walking distance of many things to see & do. The room was pretty spacious with lots of storage options. The staff in terms of room service are friendly professional & hard working. Anitha my house keeper did an excellent job keeping my room clean & tidy. The reception staff were always friendly professional & helpful. They have a good knowledge of how things can be done, this comes in useful at time. I found most staff understood my English (Which good considering I come from the North of England). Equally the restaurant staff provided good quality food, & always with a smile. Again linguistic skills in terms of English language were good.

Because the area around the clock tower is very popular it can become busy. However this becomes a positive at night due to all the excellent bars, restaurants & clubs within walking distance. For example if are into Salsa like me there's Donde Fidel just less than a minute away.

Superb location in the main plaza of old town. Great food, sites, sounds all on our doorstep. Very helpful and friendly staff. Special mention to Geraldine for her knowledge, warm welcome and smile, advice and humour. Packed mini bar. Healthy breakfast and great restaurant staff.

Dated furniture.

The staff in the reception and restaurant were very courteous and helpful.

I was on a business trip (although an academic one). The hotel lacks a business center, so there was no space for me to make or print copies.
