The views in the room and the bar were truly incredible. We had the superior suite and it was probably the coolest room we've ever stayed in. The bed was very comfortable and the rooftop bar was great both drinks and staff.

Huge red flag that had clearly happened before - they try to sneak a 30% foreign exchange surcharge if you don't catch on to it. That's correct- they tried to charge $300 more than our booking.com agreed fee for paying in USD [we're actually british...]. The front desk staff member was rude and confrontational as well as offering no apology. She wasn't polite even before this happened and this left a sour taste and set the stay off on a bad start despite everything else with the actual room/place being stunning.

This hotel shines above the rest of the 5* hotels in Medellin. The hotel is new and shiny and the breakfast room with all the greenery is a delight to wake up to. Breakfast is plentiful and the service is absolutely amazing. The place is run like a family with all the staff really getting to know you. Additionally praise goes to Andreas who helped my wife source and amazing birthday present for me. The price, for what you get is amazing, definitely the hotel of choice for couples and family's, not a party hotel but lively.

The orange juice from breakfast was amazing. Loved how fresh it was. Breakfast overall is a 7 out of 10. The view from the room was beautiful, the bathroom was really nice. Overall the room was 8 out of 10. The staff especially Ricardo and Andre were superb. Muy excelente! They were very helpful and kind to us during our stay.

Breakfast varied while I think the first day was the best. The food at the restaurant late in the evening was not good and was served cold and unseasoned so I rate the food at night a 5 out of 10. But overall I give breakfast 7 out of 10. The curtains in the room did not open via the key so we had to open manually so I did not like that it was not working properly. I wished we had more time to fully explore the hotel. There were definitely a lot of things going on but time was not on our side. The pool was heated and the views beautiful from up there as well.

Upon arrival at the check-in desk, a group of tourists arrived, and we noticed they were greeted more specially, they were offered water, tea, and alcoholic drinks, meanwhile, we were standing there astonished to see we were not receiving that special treatment. We of course are from Colombia and look Colombian, the other group was not. It made us feel as if the hotel staff catered more to Euro-Americans than its own people. This was of course infuriating.

Spacious and clean apartment with own kitchenette. The amenities were great and we enjoyed the food. Location is a bit outside of the center of El Poblado, which we liked. Transfer service was very good as well and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The windows didn’t have great isolation, which meant you could hear the street below. For us this was no problem, but at our last night there was a party down in the restaurant which we could hear very loudly. This went on until midnight, which made it difficult for us to sleep.

The breakfast was good, nothing out of the ordinary typical international breakfast. The location was great as it’s not within all the noise and hype but only 7-10 mins taxi away from it (provenza) so you can have peaceful sleeps. The suite was incredible, the view from your room is picture perfect (you will take the same picture every morning!) the small details like automatic curtain control made it feel very luxurious, the bed super comfortable the walk in wardrobe… literally everything about the suite was amazing. I would say this is the best place we have stayed at out of all of our travels. Loved it and WILL 100% return.

To be honest, there’s not much I can think of I absolutely loved this place… if I had to be critical I would say the aircon was slightly loud But not enough to not sleep.. if you are going Medellin with your partner… BOOK ASAP! He/she will love it I promise

The bedroom view was beautiful and the hotel had a very nice, luxurious vibe. It looked very modern and new. The pool area was clean and the view was also nice. The restaurant staff were great, knowledgeable and attentive. For the most part, the front-end personal were polite and made good conversation. The toiletries were replenished everyday along with clean towels.

I booked through this site and once again I had an issue during check-in. The hotel claimed to have no record of my reservation. We ended up getting different rooms than originally booked, but they were able to make adjustments and we ended up with rooms with a beautiful city view. Also, during this ordeal we were helped by a receptionist who seemed annoyed, understandably, but her attitude didn’t help ease us or the situation. One of the rooms had a robe and slippers while the other room had neither and was also missing a trash bin. We all also had an issue with the keycards. On two occasions we had to go to the front desk because the cards randomly stopped working.

The hotel is beautiful and quaint. Even though it's pretty big, it still feels intimate. The staff is the biggest asset, they were all fantastic. Friendly and patient as we did not speak good Spanish. Full of energy and just all around great. The rooms were cleaned perfectly and everything just smelled great.

The only thing is I wished the bar and Rooftop stayed open longer.

everything! Andres and the crew were exceptional-efficient and warm. It was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. It exceeded the experiences I’ve had at the Fairmonts and Waldorf Astoria. I only wish my entire stay in Medellín was there. The gym had decent equipment and was clean even the view was good from the gym. rooftop pool was quiet and warm! The room was modern and also exceptionally comfortable. my partner and I agreed it would be an ideal apartment. my partner left a few days earlier and my Spanish is terrible. it didn’t matter as I think all or most of the staff spoke perfect English. I planned on visiting more of Colombia but I will definitely spend more days in Medellín because of my experience at York!

this will sound silly as a “not like”… it’s my practice to do at least one kind thing each day I travel. the only thing is I had to walk nearly a mile to find any homeless to bring a meal to. I needed to get my steps in so I can’t really complain lol. really, don’t miss this place! it’s the one place I felt I could put a “10” rating on. Andrés is a natural at his job!

The view from the bedroom and terrace was spectacular. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing and Sami in particular was attentive and helpful. The evening bartender was excellent, accommodating and very personable. Carolina at the front desk was wonderful and made it difficult to leave! 😊

While the staff for the most part was very welcoming I was surprised that more of them didn't speak English. That is probably more common in larger hotels but I felt a little bit like an outsider. No problems though and I would definitely return someday.
