Muy genial gente. I stayed for 3 nights. Planned 2 at first but added one as it was a good place to stay while figuring things out. Very friendly people, first time in Costa Rica and glad i stayed here while getting ready for further travels. Room was nice and clean air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was very good. The optional dinner was also very good and well priced the one day i had it. Nice shower. I'd stay here again if i head to Liberia 100%. Also helpful with recommendations for further adventures in Costa Rica

Wifi flaked a couple times, but mostly reliable. Need a sign for dinner times as well. It's optional so they don't advertise it, but it's quite good

Rooms were clean, tidy, and big enough to have ample space to move around. We reserved double queen bed room and a seperate room suite with a double queen beed room (bedroom and regualr room all in one room). I believe both had a desk and a small refrigerator. There wasn't any sort of cooking area (such as a small kitchen or hot plate. There may have been a microwave, but I have forgotten now) The location is close to downtown Liberia. The property itself feels safe at night. It is gated and the rooms are in the back. There is a home across from the check-in area where the property manager resides, so if somebody is coming in they would know first. There are all sorts of rocking chairs and hanging swings to sit outside and enjoy in cooler weather. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a supermarket (I believe Mega Super) just outside the gate of the property (probably like 100mts or a little more). Breakfast was included in our stay, but we did not partake. We had to leave early, before the time of 6:30am which is when they begin serving breakfast. There are food places not that far from the property (the furthest away would be a couple of kilometers in downtown Liberia and the closest would be no more than a couple hundred meters). Use Yelp, Google Maps, or some other app to locate restaurants nearby. If not the staff can probably assist in recommending and locating a place to eat.

There isn't a pool on the property, but from the looks of it, they might be trying to install one or getting ready to install one. There is ample enough room on the property to have one, unless they need the area for parking. If there was a complaint it would be the rooms were super hot when we first arrived, but after having the AC on for a while they cooled off pretty quickly. The bathrooms on the other hand, have no AC and can be a sweat box depending on the time one needs to be in there.

Great family-run hotel with hosts that take pride in what they do. The hotel is located on a secure property with a large gate that closes at night. Parking is on the gated property. The rooms are arranged in a row around a lovely well-maintained garden area and a parrot/bird and cute dog. The room is basic in what you need - bed, AC, table, warm shower - but also a refridgerator which is rare in most hotels. Much appreciated. The AC works well and there is also a fan if you prefer that. Check-in was easy. Payment is upon arrival with card or cash. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. They run the breakfast like a restaurant with an actual menu. There are vegetarian options. Wifi works really well. I am happy to have chosen this property. It is not in the city center but if you have a car, no problem. There is also a supermarket nextdoor. The hotel is nearby soms national parks like Palo Verde and Rincon de la Vieja.

Great little family run place about a 15 minute walk from downtown, securely gated, very quiet and green with lovely plantings and trees around the buildings. There was a fun but noisy rodeo/ fiesta going on in town and after watching the parade and checking out the horses, it was nice to come back to our little oasis. Very clean room, AC was quiet and effective, nice shower, good breakfast, easy and convenient shuttle to the airport for our morning flight home. Very friendly staff, not great English but those beautiful Costa Rican smiles go a long way and we communicated just fine. My husband is a birdwatcher and saw several different tanagers, hummingbirds and a migratory Baltimore Oriole from the patio.

It was a very short one night visit, nothing not to like.

It's a family business, they care about you and help you with everything you need. If you do not speak Spanish, no worries, Emanuel and his brother are fluent in English and will arrange what ever you need, a ride to the National Park, from/to the airport, or a car and more. For us it was cosy, you have in front of your room chairs to chill and you can sit in the common area to relax, eat or talk to others. The breakfast is delicious, you can choose what you wanna eat. Everything was tasty and the coffee is nice to. It is easy and safe to get to the city Center and bus terminal if needed. It takes you only around 20 minutes or you can take a taxi or ask for a ride. Around the area is everything you need, supermarket, bakery, fruit/vegetable store and pizza. We would stay here again when we are in Liberia.

Family owned and operated hotel was clean, comfortable and secure. They offered a shuttle to the airport for $25 for two of us that was very convenient. There is a dining room where one can purchase dinner. Complimentary breakfast was excellent - lots of options. There's a supermarket next door where you can purchase cold drinks. (We had a fridge in our room). Or groceries if you are just starting out on your vacation. Take out pizza across the street was pretty decent. Each room has a nice little outdoor sitting area.

Wish there was a pool. There's not much to see or do in Liberia. The neighbourhood is not very enticing. Walking was a little hazardous - but that's no different than any other city in Costa Rica.

Breakfast was excellent as was dinner when it was offered. The use of the shared fully equiped kitchen was a bonus. The rooms were clean and air conditioned. There was an outdoor space where my partner was able to teach a zoom class.

I didn't like the noise at night from the on sight roosters and the barking dogs in the neighbourhood. I will be sure to ask for a room away from the open yard area when I come back. A room closer to the kitchen area might cut down on the night noise.

This was a last minute booking on Christmas Eve due to our flight home being canceled. The family who owns this property was SO welcoming and warm, especially Heydey and Josue. They helped us find a restaurant that was open on Christmas Eve and arranged for our meal delivery. The room was clean, the air conditioner worked well + ceiling fan, the bathroom was clean and everything worked well. The breakfast was AMAZING! This isn't a skimpy Continental breakfast. It's a full on cooked breakfast. You get to choose amongst about 8 different meal choices. It includes Costa Rican style food and more generic eggs and bacon type meals. There is fresh fruit, coffee and tea. There are nice seating areas outside to chat with other travelers. There's an open air courtyard that has cool plants. The rooms aren't flashy and slick like a typical American hotel. But our bed was firm and comfortable. The value of this room was EXCELLENT. But the most notable quality of this hotel was the owner's desire to make this a home away from home for the guests. Such amazing kindness that helped us through a stressful night!

The staff and management of the hotel went out of their way to provide everything I needed. They made an effort to communicate with me even though my Spanish is quite limited. The breakfasts are exceptional and give a real taste of local cuisine. There is always coffee ready and waiting, so fill a cup! I was actually treated almost like a family member here. There is a supermarket next door and many restaurants within walking distance. My experience was that the staff went to work to solve any problem or need I had.

The only negative I experienced was a rooster crowing at 2 and 3 a.m. in the mornings. Fortunately I had earplugs just in case of such problems.
