This is such a special place and we were so lucky to stay here. Manuel, Flori and their daughter Melissa made us feel at home during our Christmas holiday. They put up a beautiful lit up Christmas tree and nativity scene on our balcony which our 5 year old was thrilled to see, especially since she was missing Christmas at home. The bungalow was very comfortable and the breakfasts were the best we've had in Costa Rica (and we have been here 3 times). The pool is lovely and the dogs are so sweet. Manuel is passionate about cultivating this land for the past 25 years sustainably, and they grow coconuts, coffee, avocado, soursop, star fruit, plantain, and much much more. We did an informative tour around the property with Manuel and Melissa and they made it fun for our child. We saw sloths and toucans while relaxing on the balcony. The pleasant weather and breeze is the best in Costa Rica. We were sad to leave and can't wait to return. Thank you so much for a stay we will always remember.

We had a great stay. Just maybe a few suggestions for the future: A dresser or closet would be useful in the room. Also, curtains to block the sun in the morning would be helpful since there are windows at the top of the wall near the ceiling. There are screens in the windows and AC which was amazing especially to be able to open windows and let in fresh breeze. The bedroom doesn't let in AC from the main area unless you leave the door open.

This is a delightful place to stay. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are lovely and the breakfasts are excellent. I extended my stay by one night and both rooms I used were extremely comfortable, included all the things I needed, and were fresh, clean and tastefully decorated with flowers and plants. Each bungalow has its own private patio looking into the garden or surrounding woods. The birdwatching from the patio is excellent. The bungalows are in the small village of Rio Naranjo, which is in easy reach of Bijagua and Rio Celeste. There are good restaurants within a few minutes drive where you can have a nice meal.

This is a peaceful location in a lovely green village. The views in the countryside are spectacular. Lovely gardens on the property that attract many birds. Our bungalow was comfortable, clean and modern with a lovely patio. Nice hot showers. Delicious breakfast! Very kind and gracious hosts!

Very friendly hosts. They have beautiful garden. Make sure to walk around their property. We were welcomed by a Toucan bird that was singing on one of the trees. We had the tastiest breakfast in Costa Rica. Room was quiet, spotless clean and bed was comfortable.

Bad was a bit small (1.40m), but was very comfortable.

If you love beautiful gardens, the sounds of water rushing over rocks, if you enjoy watching butterflies, birds, and dragonflies, and you love to wake up to the sound of howler monkeys, then Agutipaca B&B is the perfect place to experience peace, tranquility, and connect with nature. The owner and her daughter are fabulously attentive, caring, fun, and they provide you with opportunities to be immersed in the Costa Rican culture. An absolutely clean, modern, and comfortable accommodation with incredible elevated views of the gardens from the wrap around balcony. The breakfasts are scrumptious with a wide variety of options and tropical juices. The tours of their farmland were incredibly educational, and the tour provided by their neighbors across the street gave me my first opportunity to milk a cow and make sugarcane juice from a sugarcane press. They took me to my first natural thermal baths and an opportunity to explore their relatives farmland in Nuevo Guatemala. This was one of the best, true cultural experiences of my life, all provided by this wonderful family. This beautiful place is a MUST when planning a trip through Costa Rica. It’s close to the bus stop if you want to go and explore the surrounding areas. Thank you Flori and Melissa for the most wonderful experience.

I loved everything!

The rooms were beautifully decorated and this amazed me just because of how far they are from any large stores. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was AMAZING and huge (made from scratch and delivered to your room).

That we had to leave

Nice modern and clean bungalow with great terrace to relax and eat. Friendly staff who serves great breakfast.

You can’t pay with credit card. The nearest ATM is in Bijagua. Some people might find the internet to slow. It’s ok to plan tour trip & activities but it’s not fast enough for streaming or so.

Spacious rooms, breakfast fantastic. Quiet location & comfortable bed. Saw a sloth & monkeys very close up in the garden. Owners very helpful when we had a problem with the Air Conditioning.

No safe in room.

Wonderful family run facility. Great rooms. Gorgeous gardens. Great variety of birds. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful neighborhood. Monkeys came nearby. We were sorry to leave.
