Good location ( easy access to supermarket, car rental and the big park), friendly staff, comfortable beds, big apartment, clean and very good breakfast.

Restricted time to use the swimming pool. (Hard to explain to a 4 year old that he cant go for swim before 10.00 or after 17.00) The style of the apartments could be modernized

Easy check in. Staff very nice. Room was big, with separate section for seating with comfy sofas and also kitchen area which had enough space/utensils to make what you need. Bed was very comfortable. Decent enough shower with enough hot water and toiletries. Good WiFi. Breakfast was varied and there's free coffee all day in reception too. Location was near the park, good respite from the busy city. Check out was at 1300 which was such a bonus, and you're able to stay by the pool area or in reception until you need to leave. Uber worked well to get to the airport. There is a decent restaurant for lunch and dinner attached to the hotel, which was very helpful - good food and lovely staff. All in all, given the price, would recommend.

Location was a little far from the main attractions (for me), but I knew this upon booking. Instructions for the TV would have been helpful.

Suites Cristina offers very spacious and comfortable apartments. The staff were all very helpful and we felt relaxed there. A tasty breakfast was served next to the pool and offered many different options, hot and cold. Surprisingly, it turned out to be the only place we stayed (out of seven) on our Costa Rica holiday which provided a full breakfast buffet selection. We also ate dinner in the restaurant one evening (a good quality place open to the public as well) and this turned out to be a very good meal at a reasonable price. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The only thing we didn't particularly appreciate was the difficulty in finding the place! Even when we were 'guided' there by a local from the car hire company who lived nearby, he still had to get out and ask people in the street where it was. It would be useful to give more specific directions on the booking.com page.

The staff was very nice also helpful. They gave us a courtesy early check in since we arrived at 830am. Breakfast was good. The apartment was big. 2 bed rooms 2 bathrooms which made our trip great. We would stay again because of the staff and how comfy the apartment is.

Unfortunately we were disappointed how rushed we felt breakfast. It didn't matter how early or late you ate. You're rushed. They clear everything so fast without notice. There's no coffee pot in the apartments. For us coffee drinkers that is something that was missed. No complimentary tea either. These little things make the biggest difference to alot of people. Lastly the self laundromat in the basement didn't work well. It's not clear which washer and dryer you're allowed to use. The dryer takes twice even three cycles.

We stayed here for 11 nights as we were relocating to Costa Rica. Initially booked this hotel because it accepted dogs. Quite honestly did not expect much from our stay, but we ended up really enjoying our time here. It was well located by Sabana Park with easy access to shops restaurants etc plus easy access to the main roads for our onward travel. We booked a 2 room apartment as we needed room to store the items we brought with us. It was pleasantly roomy and had a small basic kitchen, which was very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the air con a big plus! Breakfast was fabulous, with lots of choice. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but would if we stayed again. Without exception, the staff were charming, kind and helpful. The cleaners were excellent and really made a thorough job of cleaning our apartment every day. Another plus was the underground garage, which meant we could load up our car ready for travel in the morning and know it was safe. We would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The cozyness of the Superior Suit, the breakfast and the friendly staff. We also liked the neighbourhood in which the hotel is situated. It is very quiet, tranquil with little traffic.

Please change the towels, they were full of lint. Preferably 2 kitchen towels and a kitchen roll in the kitchen. We cooked most days and needed these. Preferably a small paper waste basket in the sleeping rooms and if possible a small blocnote with pencil. Every two days sweep the floors.

This hotel was a great place to stay after a long flight and before our "adventure" started. The breakfast included cold and hot made to order dishes, which pleased everyone in my family. The pool was a lovely break from the heat and clean. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was close enough to walk to the park and Central Market. It was a great stopping over spot for us.

Nothing, it was great!

The free breakfast was delicious. With the exception of one person, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean and well kept. Such an amazing staff! The restaurant had excellent Italian food.

The beds were just ok. Pillows hard. Kitchen supplies were old and scarce. Small glasses, utensils very worn, no utensils for cooking.

Suites Cristina has large suites, split between a bedroom (which has air conditioning) and a sitting room with several chairs, two tables, fridge, cooker, cupboards, etc.) which does not – but generally that’s not a problem in San Jose. . The bathroom leads off the bedroom and contains the room safe. the area is safe, and walkable to the big conference hotels nearby, but at a more affordable rate (not cheap, but nowhere is in Costa Rica). There's a small underground car park which is secure. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with made to order omelettes, and a varying selection of hot dishes, fresh fruit and cold breads/cakes. There's free coffee (very strong) available 24/7 in the lobby - you can take it back to your room and dilute it with boiling water. My only complaint is that they sometimes ran out of coffee in the urn, and the machine coffee was not up to Costa Rican standards! The pool is quite small, but kept clean; it's unheated which means that is can feel cold at first.

The pool is right in the middle of the breakfast area - although you are allowed to swim in the morning you are a bit like a goldfish in a bowl (so no-one does). There are only Spanish language TV stations. And I did have a bird inside the room at one point (possibly it had come in when the cleaner left the door open).

The entire staff was incredible! Friendly, professional, hardworking and accommodating. The entire hotel was scrubbed top to bottom constantly! There were a few small issues in the room but they were addressed quickly. We were comfortable, my husband's disabilities were accommodated, our service dog was welcomed and we felt (nearly) at home for our stay.

Our only complaint was the restaurant that is attached to the hotel. We understand that it's not owned by the hotel but we don't think it should be promoted by them. The owner is extremely rude and condescending. He wouldn't allow our service dog for my disable husband to dine with us, even though I had checked the day before to make sure she would be allowed. He literally slouched on the couch near the front door to tell me curtly that dogs are not allowed. With a very difficult navigation for my husband to walk there and then be turned away it was extremely disappointing to say the least. We ordered from Uber. After over 25 years managing Food & Beverage in resorts I was appalled. Not one measure of respect, apology, resolution was offered. Pretty sad.
