The staff was outstanding. Front desk everyone spoke perfect English. Dinning staff 80% spoke good English, the rest broken English. Everyone was more than obliging. After Connie's oral surgery servers volunteered to blending or pulverizing her food so she could eat. Every morning when I went down early for coffee they inquired, with sincerity, how she was doing... then later when she came down they ask if she wanted another milk shake, something that was foreign to them prior to our arrival. The people here put themselves out for our convenience... assisting with a booking tours, making calls for us when Spanish was necessary, providing maps then highlighting the directions to where we wanted to go, then adding with specific landmarks that we would know, like go the the Pizza Hut and turn right. The people here make the sale.

The location. The entire city looks like a fortress. HOWEVER, this facility has extremely good security in the lobby and at the front entrance. Your key card for your room will only allow the elevator to go that that specific floor where your room is located. Warning don't put your key card next to your cell phone for any length of time, it will quite working.

The room was very comfortable. Restaurant with room-service at no extra cost. Great breakfast at the lobby included. Pool, airport transfer. We where able to check-in a bit early which I very much appreciated.

The water bottle in the room and at the souvenir shop costs USD 6!! There is a hidden water dispenser with self service at the bar but only mini portions are available and one would feel uncomfortable filling up a private water bottle here. In all of the Costa Rica hotels that I went to with much less stars, water dispensers where welcomingly available withe free self service. This hotel still gives out plastic straws.

This was a return stay before our departure from San Jose. After our initial stay I didn't rate it as highly as it deserves. After travelling around the country for several weeks we realized what a treat this hotel is. This time we were in room 900 - so well laid out, comfortable chair & ottoman for the person not using the computer desk (in its own alcove). Huge bathroom, with a good plumbing system, beautiful fluffy white towels. working fridge. Quiet. comfortable king bed with good bedding. The elevators always work :o). The breakfast buffet is lovingly assembled by the dedicated staff with offerings that appeal to everyone. We could walk everywhere (faster than taking taxis in this one-way street city). All of the staff are warmly efficient, professional, friendly, helpful. As everyone knows, the staff make or break a hotel and this stuff is excellent.

nothing.

The bed was really comfortable, amazing buses from the 12th floor and everyone in the staff was so helpful, especially Stephanie and Jorgi at the front desk for whom nothing was too much trouble. Handy shop meant was able to grab a toothbrush having forgot mine and not wanting to go out after a long night. Room cleaned every day, always immaculate. Modern large room and hot shower. I would stay again

The aircon blasts very cold, I turned it off but where it had been on for the first day I was sneezing for the rest of the week. It’s also surprisingly loud

The hotel was nice. It was clean. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the sheets and comforters were heavier than the typical kleenex consistency that hotels provide. There is a restaurant. We had Thanksgiving dinner and breakfast the next morning. The Thanksgiving dinner was pretty good but expensive. The location was not as close to the major sites as I would have liked, but it was in a good location (as good as any location that requires driving in San Jose could be). The parking garage was adequate and secure. The staff was nice. We did not use the pool, so I can't speak to it.

Driving in San Jose is no fun. I recommend avoiding San Jose altogether unless you are just really determined to visit. The walk to the museums and park is pretty far, and driving is not recommended for the above-mentioned reasons. The Thanksgiving dinner was really expensive, $35 a person. It was good, but not that good. Breakfast was okay but not the best.

This hotel is a great location to explore downtown San Jose on foot. We had a room on the 11th floor and the views of the city were awesome. It was clean, the a/c worked well, the king size bed was in the Goldilocks zone (not too hard, not too soft!) The buffet breakfast was extensive. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We got to the hotel around 9:30pm after a long travel day, and all food options were closed. Room service finished before we had a chance to order and all other restaurants in the area close around the same time. If you're arriving late, plan ahead for your dinner. There is a mini bar in the room with snacks, so we didn't go to bed too hungry.

It was great to have someone help us with our bags as not every hotel in Costa Rica normally does this. Our room was grandiose with a King size bed and a fabulous view from the top floor (12)! By the way, the elevator is exceptionally speedy! We went to dinner about 8pm and everything was perfect. My waiter accidentally gave me the wrong cocktail, which turned out better for me...I discovered The Mojito...mmm, tasty. Speaking of tasty, the food was d-e-e-elicious! How do I get this chef to come and work for me in Canada?? Lol! The waiter was very friendly and attentive, pouring our drinks for us and always checking to see if everything was OK with us. I felt like royalty! The price for all of this was a mere $198/night...can't beat that. I will definitely be back. Thanks 😊

For being an international hotel, I was surprised that more of the staff didn't speak English.

The room had 2 queen size beds which were super comfortable. The room was large, bright and was very quite, breakfast was included and was very good, overall I would say it was very good value. The reception staff in particular were very welcoming and helpful, in fact all staff were very helpful. We stayed in different hotels in Costa Rica over the 3 weeks and found this hotel to be the best value and good facilities, we stayed here at the beginning of the trip for two nights and decided to stay again for one night at the end as we were so impressed.

There was nothing not to like.

pleasantly surprised to be honest, the room was a great size, the beds were super comfy and the shower/bathroom were a treat. the parking just underneath the hotel was easily accessible and didn't cost anything extra which we were surprised at. we were skeptical about eating there that evening but having seen quite a few people begging locally and it was quite dark nearby so we ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was actually very pleasant to be fair. all in all it was well worth the money.

the restaurant area did look more like an airport and could probably be more inviting but other than that to be honest it did exactly what we needed it to do. breakfast was average for a hotel like this but we did not mind so much as we were only there for 1 night.

Staff are wonderful. We stay here twice a year and they have always been helpful.

Less frills noted since pandemic. No notepads or pens in room . Air conditioning very adequate but as I like a really cold room… units seems less cold than before. And Staffing seems different.. as if there are less staff and those there.. work longer shifts.
