After being jammed into Walled Cities and paying top dollars for mediocre hotels with concaved mattresses, Hotel Cavtat was a joy. Our experience with Hotel Cavtat was a 4+. The service was impeccable. We took the hotel because it was close to Dubrovnik's airport and frankly not very costly, so we weren't expecting much. What a wonderful surprise! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and modern. Our hotel room looked like it had a recent renovation, with attractive modern furniture. The room on the first floor and when the sliding glass window was closed, we didn't hear a sound outside our room. All the amenities were of higher quality than we expected. The bedding was top quality, (400 thread.) The shower and water pressure were great. The restaurant and poolside snack shack were lovely. The Spa was great. We also enjoyed walking down the boardwalk and checking out all the quaint restaurants and shops. It's easy to grab a water taxi to do Dubrovnik (10 minute boat ride that lets you off right by the Walled City). The money you save staying at Hotel Cavtat is pretty substantial. The ride to the airport was about 15 minutes and about 20 Euros.

That we had stayed there longer! More open hours at the spa.

Room was spacious, particularly enjoyed the dressing room which meant you could keep the suite tidy, bed comfy and the view was amazing. Room was cleaned quickly and well every day. Was great to have two fridges, and lots of storage. The outside balcony space was amazing. The shower was luxurious. Location of the hotel was perfect.

The reception staff were snappy at me, made me quite anxious about approaching them again. The room was cold, you couldn't adjust the AC so it was permanently cold which was great during the day but when the temp drops at night which is does in October is was uncomfortable. The TV in the bedroom was on the wall behind the bed curtain so you couldn't see it. The TV in the lounge was mounted so high on the wall that you get neck ache watching it. The Jacuzzi bath is very hard to climb into unless you are quite flexible, for older or less able bodied people it could be unsafe. Would have been nice to have UHT milk pots with the tea and coffee supply. These are all small things that could just add to a better experience, however overall we had a lovely holiday.

Great location and nice pool for cooling off. Comfortable room and bed.Very convenient for the harbour shops and the many restaurants. Cavtat is very pretty and well worth a visit.

The sunbed booking system is strange to say the least, and wasn't explained to us when we arrived. There was a 5 euro daily charge which was a complete surprise to us as we weren't informed, but the charge was dropped when we explained. We were at the back of the hotel overlooking a half built hotel which wasn't a great outlook but didn't bother us. The rooms at the front with sea views I'm sure are fantastic.

The hotel was lovely : fresh, modern, clean and comfortable. The staff where very friendly and efficient at their jobs. The location is great with lots of nice walks and swimming spots nearby, we really had a lovely time. I took the opportunity to book myself in for a Medical massage at the Lavanda beauty centre located within the hotel as I had a painful back stemming from sleeping on a bed that was too soft at our airbnb in dubrovnik on the night we arrived. The senior masseuse who I saw was a lovely gentleman, very professional and knowledgeable and quickly found where the pain was coming from. He explained that I had dislocated a disk and managed to pop it back in for me. That night I was able to sleep without pain killers or any of the pain I had experienced for the duration of my trip. What I hadn't told the masseuse was that I had actually visited the hospital in dubrovnik because the pain was so severe and although the hospital staff where excellent and very thorough.. (I had an ecg/x-ray /blood tests and an ultrasound) they hadn't discovered the dislocated disc in my spine! I can't thank this man enough for sorting me out /finding and explaining the issue. I was so glad to get a decent sleep last night. I Couldn't recommend this place enough and will definitely be back next year!

The only thing I thought was a bit cheeky is that you have to pay £10 for a deckchair by the rooftop pool, just seems a little off to me. But this wouldn't put me off returning as the place was awesome

Have stayed here several times. The hotel is perfectly situated for views, walks, cafes and bars and always feels very safe and friendly, as does the whole town. The view over the bay to the mountains is just beautiful. A sea view room has large windows to appreciate it fully.

I think that the hotel has recently been taken over by a different company? All the comfortable sofas and chairs which used to make the terrace such an attractive place to sit with a drink have now been removed. What a disappointment! A big mistake.

Overall the hotel is lovely. Great location, very clean, reception staff were great and the views are stunning.

I am being a bit picky but… You have to book sunbeds in advance. The pool area is not that nice and the pool is tiny. You are better off going to many of the places nearby and getting in the sea. Breakfast room is boiling. They should open the windows up. The view is incredible. Staff seem a bit overwhelmed and the tables aren’t reset fast enough. They don’t check anyone coming in for their room number. Shower wasn’t great and didn’t hold temperature. Also the towels weren’t the best quality.

The room was very nice (on the 5th floor) with views over the bay and beyond - stunning. The room was a very good size and it only lost marks because we were wary of using the balcony (not that we would much anyway) because of a bird nest and the nesting bird deposited a multitude of 'gifts' which were never cleaned up.

Other than the bird's nest mentioned already, we love Cavtat and also this hotel. We stayed here last year and wanted to return as it's such an amazing place with the hotel being in a perfect location. If I had to make a criticism, it would be of the pool area - very small, cramped area on the 5th floor with nothing more than a plunge pool. We stuck with the Adriatic which is clean and clear.

The position of the hotel is absolutely brilliant as I knew before I went as I've been a regular visitor to Cavtat. It was clean and staff were friendly. I liked the pool on the roof ,I'm not one to laze around all day but there is a great view from in there. Breakfast was good and lots to choose from. I have also booked recently for my elderly Mother in Law because of the position of this hotel. She can't do the hill or steps in the old town. It only requires a few steps to get in at the front and is on a level road waterside. Lifts to all floors .

Since I went there seems to be issues with charging extra for sunbeds (this wasn't the case when I went or advised when booked) which having recommended the hotel to friends they have now cancelled and gone elsewhere . It wouldn't stop me from staying here though. Could have done with some porridge at breakfast.

The hotel and rooms were modern, well equipped and very clean. Housekeeping was great. Room was very clean. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Service on the terrace and at the restaurant by the sea was terrible. Staff were not helpful. On the terrace we were told we could not order drinks despite there being menus on the table. The restaurant food was very good but the service was strange. We were told we couldn’t sit where we wanted to and staff were not as on the ball as they should have been.

The location was great. Away from noise but close enough to walk everywhere. The rooms were large with plenty of space. We had a lovely balcony over looking the sea. The rooms were lovely and very clean. Excellent large shower. Modern tasteful decor. And had black out curtains. They had a buffet breakfast which had something for everyone. Cook making personal order for eggs and omelettes.

The outdoor balcony chairs were not very comfortable. The mattress was soft. But thats personal taste. And the fridge did not work as well as the safe. Nothing we couldnt live without though. The buffet breakfast coffee machines were a hit and miss and their juices are all room temperature which we found odd. A little over priced The roof top pool was packed and you had to reserve sun beds. Squashed like sardines. But we only used the pool while waiting for check in. Who goes to the sea and bakes on a roof top so strange to us.
