Amazing staff that maked our trip even more enjoyable, they were all nice, helpful and professional. Excellent food in the restaurant, one of the best tbone steak we ever ate. Increible localization, not too far and not too close to Hvar. If you like to relax this is perfect. Good place to walk, run, swim. 20 min to Hvar with beatiful path next to sea. Nice sauna and pool with sea view. Flexible way of use. Next door diving center.

Have in mind to arrange some transport on first day to hotel if you dont have any car. The 20 min walk from Hvar is nice and pleasent but not after whole day trip and with baggage. You can take taxi or boat taxi. Breakast could have some more vararity. Nice shower after sauna and pool is 2 min away from it which make it less confortable. Also not really hygenic bath mats, they shiudl changw it for sth more clean. Room we had a little bit too dark and small for 10 days stay. Check to have sea view one

We loved how small and boutique-y the hotel was, as we had just come from Split and stayed in a big hotel resort there, so it definitely made a nice change. You can lay down on sun loungers right by the sea which was amazing with the view, and the staff were so friendly

Nothing that Hotel Podstine could have done differently, but the location was slightly out of the way. You can walk to the main town/harbour but it’s a fair walk, and took us about 20 mins along the coast (which felt much longer when it was sweltering hot and sweating right before dinner!) you can get taxis but they are quite expensive and take a long route round because of the layout of the island

The location is on the sea-front just a 20 minute walk from Hvar Old Town. Close enough to be accessible to restaurants and bars and far enough to be quiet at night. The Podstine has a resort-like feel with a beautiful sunbed and bar/restarant area in front of the sea, which is crystal clear and wonderful for swimming. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The pulsing sound of the swimming pool pump at night was disturbing. It was a pity that this noise was allowed to disturb the otherwise tranquility of the hotel at night.

The staff were terrific. The food was brilliant and our room was very comfortable and clean. The location is fabulous: you’re a 20min walk away from Hvar in a quiet, serene and lush haven with its own bit of coastline. We swam in the sea every day and at Hotel Podstine there are several quiet areas overlooking the sea where you can relax and have a drink. The whole place has a variety of shrubs and trees which add to the feeling of calm and tranquility.

Ok, there were a couple of issues. Our shower head had come away from the wall; a couple of sockets didn’t work (including the fridge) but honestly, it wasn’t anything we felt like complaining about. The room was quite superb, with a beautiful view: it was clean and very quiet.

Beautiful hotel with bar, restaurant, pool, private beach about 15 minutes from Hvar Town, the walk was very nice, but if you want to be right downtown it likely is not the place for you. The hotel as a whole was amazing

The room was a little small, hot water did not last long enough for consecutive showers, air conditioning was a little loud, bed was as described (two twins together) but less ideal than queen/king. blankets were somewhat small to share for two

Rooms were a good size and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff lovely and very helpful. Facilities at the hotel very good, especially the private sea front area.

Originally we were in a room in the 'annexe'. Although it was clear when we booked this, there were no photos of the annexe... possibly because it resembles a small block of flats behind the hotel. The room was fine, but we did feel detached from the main hotel and little miffed at paying E400 a night for the room. However, the staff were great and moved us 'free of charge' to one of the best rooms in the hotel for our last 2 nights (we were lucky it was free). Just be aware if booking in the annexe.

The hotel has all of the expected facilities, but is a little bit tired. It is like a very plush hotel from a 1960s James Bond film. I understand it is now under new management and with a little bit of money spent on it to tidy it up (e.g. fix the swimming pool outlets), create consistent branding across the hotel (e.g. replace the commercially randomly branded umbrellas), introduce a shuttle service to HVAR town it could be truly great and in very high demand.

We had a room that was next to one that for one night became occupied by a group of youngsters who shouted and drank from 12 midnight to 2am, went out, and then came back and started again at 5am. Quite honestly they should have been asked to leave but since there were loads of them and only two of us I suspect it was not economic for the hotel to do so.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel on Hvar Island during a peak season, so it was on the expensive side. However, it was worth every penny. The views from the room were absolutely fabulous, providing a breathtaking backdrop to our stay. The hotel was spotless, and cleanliness is always a top priority for me when traveling. The staff must be commended for their attention to detail in maintaining such a clean environment. Overall, despite the higher cost due to the time of year, I left with a very positive impression of this hotel. The stunning views and impeccable cleanliness made it a memorable and enjoyable stay. Thank you to the hotel staff for a wonderful experience."

All was great in the hotel. Special the staff and more than anything the reception girls were awesome. There is a lot of outdoors to do in the hotel which if you are not in the mind to go sightseeing you will enjoy.

Maintenance to the gym is needed. I tried to use a running treadmill and it will stop all the time. The maintenance came and told me to unplug it and plug it, which I had to keep doing through the space of more than 45 minutes and then the machine stopped completely. Maintenance guy didn't want to do any effort to asses what I was explaining to him.

Our view from the room was definately a very important point, from the bed, looks like you are floating up the sea. The hotel has an amazing restaurant, we had a lunch and a dinner there, the food was delicious and the waiters are very kind. They also has a “beach bar” that we took some drinks on the beach, very comfortable. The location is very nice, because its not that close to the noisy center, but you can reach by car in 8 minutes or walk for 20 minutes.

The hotel has some spaces that could have some remodeling, like the gym, the spa..
