The hotel is nice, with a suitable location near the center of Lovren and close to Opatija. Both places offer nice seaside and street walks, restaurants and shops, with Lovren being a bit more authentic. The hotel is renovated with good facilities. The staff is very friendly and nice, ready to crack a joke or just chat. The mansard room was unexpectedly great, with blinds stretching over a large portion of the room and making it beautifully bright and sky open - great design. The view was stunning, covering both the entire Kvarner bay and the interior. The breakfast was excellent, offering one of the best choices of fruits, cheeses, breads, pastries, drinks, etc. with lots of vegetarian options.

A shoe spoon in the room and USB-C/HDMI cable at the reception would be welcome :) Lots of people nowadays can watch Netflix or other online contents from their tablets or notebooks, and having the ability to watch it on the big screen available in the room would be a welcome addition. The Chromecast is available but does not do the job for web-streamed contents.

spacious, light, clean, high ceilings, big windows and luxurious feel. we had a balcony...made room feel even more spacious. excellent breakfast..probably one of the best in terms of choice, made to order pancakes etc although pet friendly, no odours and super clean. beach across the road. easy walk to restaurants and promenade. free parking very close to hotel.. don't pay to park on premises. stay here.. you won't regret it..small luxurious and boutique feel. nice garden to relax. staff helpful and friendly.

was not a problem for us but maybe some might not like the proximity to the road with traffic noise etc. but small problem as everything else is excellent 😉

I’m sure that those looking for something to bother them will find it. For us, this villa was simply wonderful. The room with the balcony overlooked the street and it was quite pleasant to sit outside in the evening. There are cars of course but the room was quiet. Ivana and Peter as well as other staff were wonderful, helpful and charming. The whole place is clean and well maintained and much like other people we LOVED the breakfast buffet! The proximity of the beach is also a big plus. A few minutes walk and you are at the old city centre or, if you wish, a walk by the sea in the evening is also lovely! All in all, it was a great stay and I’m quite positive we’ll be back!

There wasn’t anything not to like.

The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard, in a modern style. The room I had looked nice and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of fresh and freshly prepared foods.

The WiFi struggled to reach the top of the building, where I was. This meant that I struggled to video call my better half. The shower cubical was a little on the snug side too, but that may well have been because my room was in the attic and the sloping ceiling made things a bit more difficult. The hotel didn't do food in the evenings, which was disappointing. Neither of the two restaurants I tried were particularly good either, which was disappointing.

The hotel staff was so charming. They create a home away from home feel. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. And the location is perfect - right near a public beach and beach bar and walking distance from the old town and seafood restaurants. This is the perfect spot if you're looking for a relaxing laidback stay, within walking distance of beaches and driving distance of other beautiful Croatian coastal towns and national parks in the mountains. Highly recommend!

Very nice hotel in old Vila, in Lovran there is plenty of them so it is nice place with good genius loci. Room was big enough with heigh ceiling, it is noticeable the fit out has some age but all well maintained and clean. Staff was nice and helpful, rich breakfast, parking was on plot. Beach was very close just short walk thru park, as it was between several hotels it was quiet pack but we found another nearby and traveled there

The exit for pedestrians from hotels plot was typical Croatians- no view angle right step into driveway so nothing comfy with stroller. The hotel is a bit difficult to access with stroller as it is old Villa and to reach any floor with elevator you have to pass several steps- but it’s a price of stay in nice vintage Vila that I was ready to pay

The review is for the luxury room with balcony, since the hotel gave us an upgrade room! The cleanliness is at the highest! The staff is welcoming and polite! The breakfast is great, made of fresh ingredients, very tasty! Although the hotel is on the Main Street it was not noisy. The spa is also nice, with affordable surcharge. Parking is secure, also a small surcharge.

Location is great, just a few minutes walk from Lovran shops and restaurants, the room was very spacious, the TV (which we didn’t use) was huge, lovely small balcony over looking the sea, so great view. Staff were exceptional and the breakfast buffet in the morning was very elegant and lots of choice.

Sadly, the only disappointment was the mattress had seen better days, any longer than a 2 day stay, we would have had to request a change in mattress.

The public beach and the promenade was just 3min away. Lovran is quieter than Opatija, so we liked it. Room was big and bathroom was nicely renovated. parking was on site with a surcharge of €10 per night. Breakfast was great.
