This was a one bedroom apt with two extra beds in the living room and a kitchen with table and chairs. The location was very good, just a short walk to the port and the town centre. The apt was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and we were not bothered by street noise or other tenants. Upon arrival our wifi and tv were not working. They send a technician who had to get a part. We had wifi the following day. They were kind enough to give us a 10% discount on our stay for the inconvenience. This hotel also has a private island resort that we had access to via a 5 min free ferry ride. The island is surrounded by beaches, has a hiking trail and an enchanted forest for the kids. There were also lots of swimming pools but we did not have access to those and it was too cold so they were all shut down. In warmer weather it would have been a great way to spend a day relaxing. We paid for the breakfast buffet at the hotel and it was amazing. Lots of choices. Everything looked so fresh.

We thought we had booked a suite in the hotel however we found out that what we got was an apartment separate from the hotel. It was down the street and around the corner. Perhaps a five minute walk from the hotel. Wished I knew that we would have to lug our suitcases up three flights of stairs. Thankfully they sent a young man to help. I didn't like that the other two beds were in the living room so you literally were sitting on someone's bed if you wanted to watch TV.

Staff is amazing. Food is fresh, local and prepared with care. Location is in old town. Hotel provides taxi boat every 15min to St. Nikola island that is free of charge. On the island itself you have parasols, sunbeds and towels free of charge. Parking is 5e per day and its located outside of the property of the hotel. Staff is there to drive you to the parking lot free of charge.

Since the hotel is in the middle of the city, you might experience some street noise if you like to sleep with open windows. But the view from compensates it.

We had an apartment with Valamar, so we were 100 yds along the road from the hotel. A concierge took our bags along and helped us into the apartment. Reception were helpful as we arrived early but we're able to leave out bags for the time being whilst we explored Porec. We also were given access to the island across from Porec to access the beach and beach bars and given towel cards. This is via their own boat taxi, only a couple of minutes ride away. Location was fantastic being able to access everything by foot, the basilica, restaurants, bars and a gorgeous sea view. Apartment was basic, but clean and tidy.

The staff provide exceptional service to customers. The facilities from the sister hotel on the island via boat across this access to extra faclities was great for our family. The apt is in the old town and above a bar. There is loud music a band plays from around 9-12.30pm and they did a warm up earlier around 5-6pm. The kitchen and room beside is so loud like playing in the kitchen. The hotel told us that not a nightclub and music stops at 11pm. We had planned to go out to avoid it but after travelling a lot with an earlier arrival by bus from Portoroz at 8.30am in the morning. My boys were exhausted and wanted to sleep but found it difficult too with music. An earlier check in wasn’t feasible on arrival but a complimentary breakfast from the manager for our family on arrival was a nice touch. We left our bags at reception and went to pools/ beach on the island. Porec is fab place and we enjoyed our stay was good value and we only stayed 1 night. We would go back and stay again.

Location and shared to hotel facilities

We stayed in the apartment in the old town, which was the best combination of a hotel and an Airbnb. It had two beds and two baths, functioning a/c, and a kitchen. The connection with the hotel made check-in and -out easy. But the best part was the use of the resort amenities connected to the hotel. For free, we were able to ride the boat shuttle to the resort island and use the beach chairs and other facilities. Then it was just a quick shuttle back to the charms of the walkable old town. It was the perfect combo and a terrific value at the time of my booking.

Other reviews had mentioned that the apartment was next door to a loud bar, and this was true. On our first night we were treated to a front-row seat for a very loud cover band until after midnight. To us, it was not a problem and totally worth it. Ear plugs would have helped a bit.

We absolutely loved our room, location and the amazing breakfast (and brunch) included in the price of the stay. We booked a stunning Sea view room with a balcony in the main Valamar Riviera Hotel in Porec and it was incredible. The staff are so helpful and warm, in particular Dajana helped us at the front-desk to find a vineyard to visit and we had such a good visit as a result. We were also amazed that staying in the hotel in Porec meant you could get a free boat across to use the private beaches and resort pool on the island opposite called Sveti Nikola - probably one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Incredibly good value for money and just a lovely, friendly place to stay.

Nothing, we loved everything!

Our first stay in an apartement from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Nicely furnished room and kitchen. Cleaning when required. The staff was very friendly. As always, the beach on Sveti Nikola was fabulous.

No elevator and three very steep stairs. The bathroom was very small and a shower always flooded the whole bathroom. The apartement is quite dark as the windows face another wall. On several nights, there was loud music coming from the bar below the windows till about 12 PM. This is not the fault of the hotel, but the price of they stay was too high for that.

The location right on the main square, a half block from the water and ferry terminal was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful and access to Sveti Nikola was definitely an added bonus! We only booked 1 night when we came in late on the ferry but the hotel held our luggage free of charge the entire next day after we checked out so that we could explore Porec before leaving. The free ferry and towel service at the resort and beaches of Sveti Nikola was awesome - we had a great beach day with access to all the convenient facilities!

The apartment was pretty basic and the shower small with no hot water. The weather was hot while we were traveling (mid - late July) - so a cold shower was manageable.

Beautiful location right in the harbour with a fantastic view from our hotel room. Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and later brunch included in price. Comfortable room. No access for cars, but the hotel shuttle takes you from a secure parking outside the town to and from the hotel. Convenient free boat ride across the bay to the island hotel which belongs to the same chain. Highly recommended!

Nothing at all

I went there with my dog and we felt so welcome. Porec in general is extremely friendly with pets and they are welcome almost everywhere, i enjoyed that a lot! With booking a Valamar Hotel you can travel by ferry to the littel island where Isabella resort is and they have a pet friendly beach and even a littel dogpark there <3 My favourite part of the day ist breakfast and let me tell you- it was exceptional and i enjoyed it to the fullest!
