My wife and I absolutely love this place, and have been coming here since 2011. We have been to a few Kempinski hotels and all of them are great, but this place is a little different. The hotel is full of people 'flexing' their expensive watches, jewelry, designer clothing and handbags. Although everyone keeps themselves to themselves, it really seems to be a place where you can freely wear the most expensive things you own and feel safe doing it. Yes, it sounds a little pretentious but It is absolutely not that. It's fascinating for 'label junkies'. As for the hotel, yes it's getting a little worn around the edges but it is still fantastic. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere in both pool and beach area are great. The waiters can not do enough for you. It's clean and extremely well kept. The breakfast is, as always excellent! A great choice of hot and cold foods, fresh juices and the free champagne/prosecco helps too :) The rooms are great, the beds are incredible, the room can be pitch black during the day and the AC is spot on. I always get the best nights sleep of any hotel I've ever stayed in. If I had to make any criticism it would be the gym is a little small for such a big hotel. My wife attended yoga classes and said it was really good considering it was 'hotel yoga'. The pool bar menu and evening meals have vastly improved. We are already looking for our next booking.

I always only read negative comments because I believe these are usually the most honest and you can decide whether those problems would affect you. Nothing bad for me.

The last time the lobby is great, the breakfast selection better than in Portoroz (only breakfast room is better their).

1. The in-room entertainment system is too old and has a bad TV channel selection (no English-speaking movie channels). There is no possibility of connecting with my Netflix and Prime accounts, which is bad since we are in 2024. 2. Wellness opening hours: closing hours at 19:50 (when a staff lady with bad attitude tells you to leave the sauna) is not what makes me happy and is not at the level of Kempinski’s world-class service level.

Honestly best hotel in the Europe, Ive been on many places, but only this place make me come back every year no matter whatever going on. Beach, bars, restaurant, clean room awesome. People awesome ( Yvona, Kresimir, Amir, guys from parking). Always nice, honest, smart, helpfull and mainly really fun with them.

New fee for parking, but I get it, bad times coming.

The staff is extremely nice and attentive in the whole hotel. The rooms are spacious, but probably they should do a renovations in the next years. The pool is huge and the water temperature was great. The hotel is not directly on the beach but they offer rides with a golf cart. There are many activities what you can do during the stay : tennis, golf, ebike, wine tasting.

Everything was great.

Clean maintained beach, clean sea, underground parking (hotel management finally understood that mandatory valet parking is a stupid idea).

The hot tub water was cold. Sometimes it was difficult to find free sunbeds on the beach. Prices have risen a lot since last year (the euro probably has some magical power over hotel management :-) We spent the first night in a room adjacent to the building's noisy air conditioning machine room - the next day we moved to another room.

Hotel does not separate carbage for recycling. Dinner food could be also better.

This resort hotel is in an excellent location in Savudrija, Istria, near Slovenian border. It has a small made up beach and a golf-course nearby. The hotel is of a proper international 5-star standard, with an excellent breakfast, several swimming pools (outdoor and indoor), spa and gym, etc.

Considering a rural location of the hotel, it appears a little greedy to charge additionally €15-20 per day for parking.

Amazing facilities, especially the spa!

Although the hotel, spa & beach facilities reflect the 5-star rating, some of the staff and their services do not. This may perhaps be due to the off-season timing, and a good portion of the staff being trainees though. A few examples: no help with baggage at arrival; very slow service at breakfast & forgetting the orders
