Unfortunately I can't evaluate Bristol Kráľovská Vila, because after our arrival, we got information, that we will have a room in Hotel Bristol. Nevertheless it was not our first visit of this hotel complex, so we were excited to know other areas in this huge hotel complex as well. We had Appartment with 2 big rooms with a lot of space. Rooms were clean and with everything, we needed for our short trip in Karlovy Vary. Hotel Bristol, where we left is situated a few meters far away from the city centrum. Hotel has swimming pool and saunas, where you can enjoy your free time after sightseeing.

I was very disappointed with food quality and taste. I expected much more for this price! Sorry for that, but you have still a lot to improve.

The facilities such as swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool were great and never to busy at least during my stay. The whirlpool was very good indeed with a strong massage force at some parts. The location and setting was perfect, nice buildings and gardens, very relaxing. The breakfast was also fantastic with plenty options. The bed in double room was massive and the ensuite bathroom with shower and large bath also great.

I couldn't fault the hotel however some staff couldn't speak English but I think most guests are from other regions so perhaps hasn't been essential for them. I did have one small issue at the end of my trip but the forthcoming new owner was about and resolved the situation immediately even offering a free weekend in future. I believe he is looking to employ more English speaking staff also. Overall, despite some language barriers they tried their best and were mostly very helpful and friendly.

We loved this hotel and our stay in Karlovy Vary. The location was wonderful, room extremely clean, swimming pool was great and so was the breakfast. Thank you for the great stay.

Check in took too long. We were tired from travelling and it seemed to take too long for check in. I provided my home address via booking.com but gentleman at front desk needed to enter it again for some reason. He also needed our passports and wrote down our passport numbers. Again, all very slowly. It all seemed to take too long. He had a printout of our information and room assignment before we got there and expected us at arrival. Suggest streamlining check in information you need so that it may go faster.

The villa is really nice and the other buildings and grounds are from another era. My corner room was huge and well furnished with a nice sitting area. The views from all windows were stunning. All windows could open in multiple ways. Walk-in closet wth a safe. Huge bathtub. Very nice heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath. The jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer for my liking, but it was pleasant. The Finnish sauna lacked a water bucket, but the Turkish bath was very nice and had plenty of heat and steam. The breakfast buffet was fine, but when there are alot of guests with a hoarding mentality, some items like fresh fruit disappear quickly.

A Finnish sauna requires a water bucket and a ladle for throwing water on the rocks to produce steam, without those, it is not a Finnish sauna, but rather an unpleasant dry hot room. Americans may be okay with that, but European hoteliers should know better! The spa Jacuzzi temperature should be checked. The wifi was not good and I often had to use my cellular data plan. The wifi got unresponsive during peak times, so I think it is a bandwidth issue.

The single room was very spacious and VERY quiet. The hotel was very clean, the wellness centre well maintained, comfortable and never crowded.

Breakfast was a huge disapointment. Very few choices, no whole-grain bread, at the same time no choice of sweet pastries. By half past nine there was no fresh fruit except for few dried up orange slices. Yes, I did see an elderly lady stuffing her handbag with four peaches, yet... The receptionist at check-in was not very friendly and could have given me better directions how to get to the wellness, but otherwise I had a very good stay.

The Palace and the Villas (4) are located on a huge, beautiful property. They are all connected underground, as one villa is on a hill, while the other is in the valley. It is like a labirint, it is fun to find your way to the city center, or to the main palace building :). One villa has the spa, the palace has the bar and the restaurant. The entire place is gorgeous! The breakfast was excellent for me, my husband missed the sweet pastries. Our room was more like a small apartment, very elegant and huge! An enormous room with living area, plus separate bathroom and separate hall and a restroom. Very spacious! :) The beds were comfy and the entire place is very clean. The city centre is very close (if you can find the easy reach points from the property! :) don't worry you can easily find the right elevator and corridor after a while :))). And, of course, the city is wonderful, a must see place on Earth.

The staff does not really speak English. At all. Only the bartender, which was a relief. I understand that the guests are mostly from Germany and Russia, but I believe that English is a basic language in this world. The receptionists especially should speak at least basic English, but their English was extremely poor and it was hard to understand each other. We saw that other guests (non-English speakers) were informed briefly about the property and the facilities and with a smile, while we finished in 5 minutes and tried to get information piece by piece and with not a very welcoming attitude. The Spa guy tried to show us the Spa, he was very helpful, but he did not speak a word in English so we didn't get to know how the Spa works...

Beautiful property. We liked the layout with the park and view of the town. Our room was large and clean. Pool area was wonderful as well.

Pool water could be warmer. Didn’t like all the sign in Russian language everywhere, why not in Czech this is Czech Republic.

- Beautiful building, ex Villa by noble family I guess. - Good location, just go down to hill for access to tourist street. - Parking space, it’s seldom to have plenty of parking spaces in valley area.

Lovely historic complex, very kind staff, close to the center, very good breakfast. Great relax stay.

Turkish sauna too hot, dry sauna too small (only 3-4 guests at once). Rules in sauna not visible.
