1. Makan restaurant the dinner buffet is good, lots of variety and worth for the penny we paid, staff very attentive in the restaurant. Even in room dining the price is reasonable 2. Toiletries using branded Crabtree and Evelyn, products are nice but small bottle. 3. Room is clean. Space is ok. 4. Security is great, your hotel card only can use for ur level. 5. Room service is great, I call for extra pillows due to too flat even with 2, their workers sent to me even late at night. We left something in the hall they immediately found it and kept it for us. 6. You will get 2 free hot chocolate chip big cookies on ur arrival. 7. Free hotel sandals. Great teabag choices. You can find hairdryer, iron, ironing board, torch light, free plastic laundry bag. Basic stuff like fridge and safebox is available. 8. Great channels like HBO. 9. If you have children there's special fun pool for them. For adult the other pool is not so deep. 10. Teddybear museum at ground floor as in house guest u get 50 percent off. 11. Shower is enjoyable as water is very hot and volume for rain shower is nice, no need to turn on heater as it is automatic.

1. No private beach, need to walk across the bridge to opposite road and walk down a steep staircase (but security of the bridge is good as u need to tap with hotel card). Didn't know that as see from the photo thought the hotel is beside the beach. 2. Prefer on arrival someone guide us where's the lift. 3. Book for a king size bed but for me looks like queen size, my husband nearly fall off from the bed at night. 4. Far from town. But ya this is batu feringgi. 5. Parking need to pay RM3 per day. If u drive big car like my dad Mazda cx5 careful when enter the relative narrow entrance as you will easily scratch your side. 6. Pillow to be improve, too flat. 7. Tv very close to the king size bed.

Welcome by shin which is very cheerful. Check in is very fast. The lobby is very grand and beautiful. Family love it. Welcome cookies were given which are delicious. If you arrive at night the trees were light up beautiful. Car park is rm3 per day. Bus arrive outside the hotel and you need to take a 100 meter to the hotel. There is valet for rm30 a day but the car park rm3 is good enough. There are welcome drinks as well which is rose cordial water. 3 lifts in service which you don't need to share with other most of the time. Small gym available. Room is big. Beg is big and comfy. Extra pillow request were given as well. Rain shower is strong and temperature is good. TV available as well with cartoon and football games. Air conditioning is great, fan is strong. Room is quiet. Shampoo, body wash, soap, lotion , toothpaste and toothbrush are give. Bath cloth is not given, will be great if it's made available. You can do pool swim here. Kids has kids pool and swimming play ground. A kids club is available as well. Beach is across the street with connect pedestrian bridge overhead but the beach is not the best one. You can do cycling or running on the coastal road to Teluk Bahang for the best sea view and take a bus back to the hotel.

Beach is rocky and slightly dirty. There are crows at the restaurant. The room corners are slightly dusty.

Friendly welcome. Cool lobby design. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We asked for some ice in the room. They sent a huge ice bucket, was nice.

It is a beach hotel under the name of Resort, but it doesn’t have its own beach. You can use the public beach which is not so fancy. It is useful to take your towel with you because the hotel doesn’t provide towels for the beach. We kindly asked for towels, but they certainly didn’t give. We got a little tense! Anyway The sea was choppy and dirty. There are channels flowing into the beach I hope it is not what I expected! Breakfast is very varied and rich but not tasty. Most of them spicy Asian foods. I would expect there to be a few tropical fruits other than apples. Such as mango pineapple, lychee, star fruit… There wasn't even a banana. Ok for 1 night stay.

Wonderfully kind staff at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton! Every single staff was knowledgeable, very hospitable and took pride in even the smallest things they did in the resort and for us, the guests. Thank you to everyone at DoubleTree - ALL of you deserve a raise! Spacious rooms & quiet surroundings. Love that our family room was somewhat private and away from the hustle of the main corridor where resort guests take the lifts, walk or go up and down the resort. CrabTree Evelyn toiletries in the bathroom was a nice touch! Sufficient bottles of drinking water in recyclable bottles and we can ask for more with no questions asked. Food AND service at Makan Kitchen was excellent! Missing their top notch teh tarik already - best teh tarik we’ve had! Nasi Kandar was surprisingly a pretty big portion and the daging masak hitam was tender and beyond delicious! Roti jala was very yummy and please try all the curries - ALL scrumptiously finger licking good.

Not so much about dislike but more to what the resort can look into or improve on. There is only one pool area and it’s pretty small. Crowded during holidays. Sand pit area is a good addition near the pool area though, since the beach is a walk away outside resort premise and not very good for picnic, sand play or swimming. Watch out for dogs at the beach. Air-conditioning was not very cold halfway through the nights. In-room fridge door cannot be closed tightly and water was leaking from it due to condensation.

One of the rooms had balcony with a nice view and lounging chairs, the breakfast options were great and the kiddie pool area were all great additions. The location was great for us and especially that it wasn't far away from the floating mosque and the ESCAPE waterpark!

At times in the morning or late at night, the floors would get wet and very slippery from humidity. We didn't know whether it was because of the AC units or something else. It was my first time seeing a suite connected the way our rooms were, with the sliding doors (which has a gap visible for passersby in the hallway). I wish the suite gave me and my family a bit more privacy.

Staff was really friendly and welcoming. Very good service. I especially found the receptionist very obliging and friendly. He upgraded my room too. My kid enjoyed the pool. However, I found the sand near the pools disconcerting. Pool staff was quick to respond to another traveler who had complained about broken grating near the pool. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick action taken to rectify the issue

Alarm from the smoke detector, I reckon went off in the middle of the night and disturbed my sleep. someone later came to check on it when I had already fallen asleep again. Again, my sleep was disturbed. It was a good thing I managed to return to sleep again quickly as I was tired from the day's activities.

There are not enough words that can describe our experience of this hotel. From our arrival until we left we were treated like royals. The staff are all centered to make the lives of visitors like living on cloud 9. The location is perfect, everything is sparkling clean, the friendliness of the staff, the manager of the restaurant, room service and the high quality of the food, huge range of the breakfast and our special treatment at our last dinner will last in our memory for ever. So everything was perfect!

Love the location as it is on the quieter side of the Batu Ferringhi area, with an exclusive overhead bridge for hotel guests, which connects us to the Miami beach, which is cleaner and more peaceful as compared to other beaches. Also enjoyed the array of breakfast spread daily, the pool is of a good size, with lounge chairs and cabana to relax. Feels very homely and at ease with the smiley staff at the concierge, housekeeping, front desk, etc. Kids enjoyed themselves very much at the Teddyville Museum which is located within the hotel itself!

I would say, one of the best hotel's experienced I've ever had. Everything feels like home. From having a very comfortable room with a scenic view to a free flow of delicious Teh Tarik & Nescafe Tarik. The hotel staffs were very helpful and always delivered the top notch services. Special appreciation to Miss Jamilah and Miss Yusriwati for accommodating my family and I very well especially during breakfast and dinner at Makan Kitchen. Keep up the good service Hilton and I will definitely come again for my next stay.

I was surprised I was charged for a bucket of ice which I've never encounter in Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur and other hotels in KL. I've ordered countless buckets of ice with free flow. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay in Double Tree Hilton, Penang.
