Queen room was actually a 'suite' with two rooms/beds - so plenty of room. Fridge/microwave/coffee maker. Rooms are a bit outdated, particularly the bathroom (which was small) but everything has been very well maintained and kept meticulously clean so overall quite comfortable. Short walk to Journal Square PATH station for easy access to Manhattan.

Some noise from room above. Area will not appeal to everyone, it is quite a distance from the touristy areas of Jersey City. Despite this, still felt safe coming home late at night.

I really liked my room with the special entry! It had small stairs and a small plant at the entry, which was very nice. The room was very big, almost as big as a studio apartment. The hotel has a shuttle to Newark airport, which was very convenient for me on my way back to my connecting flight. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is 5 min away to Junction Square PATH station, which was also very convenient. Thanks for everything.

I guess due to being on the first floor, the room got too much street noise. Maybe the rooms on upper floors do not have this problem. Other than that, nothing to write here.

The hotel was rustic. The wood floors creaked. It was the type of building that made me want to explore. Breakfast was basic, but that was ok. The hotel was reasonable. I would stay again.

The staff was not friendly. I walked down and asked for washcloths because the cleaning staff did not leave any during the day. The lady said she would have some brought up to the room. So i went back to the room. An hour or so later, i called the front desk and reminded the lady about the washcloths. Finally, after we had taken showers without the washcloths, we finally got them.

Breakfast was menial, low quality. Perfect location of the hotel to bus, train, airport transportation was available.

1-The front desk staff needs to smile, be friendly, be warm personable, not abrupt like one staff member approached me in your small lounge area with my McDonald’s meal by saying while I was on the phone “What’s your room #?! My sister heard the conversation. I approached the employee at the desk and she gave me no eye contact while she was playing a game on her phone. I talked went to my room and came back and she was still gaming but on the outside of the desk. The way I was being spoken to in an abrupt, rude, unprofessional way. 2-Also I’d like to see you allow long distance phone calls and have it billed to our room or charge to our card especially if it’s an emergency.

The room was clean, comfortable beds and good breakfast. It is a short walk to the PATH subway that leaves you directly in Manhattan. The first impression when entering was not the best due to the looks on the hotel, but the room was comfortable and clean and the ladys that helped in the breakfast were very gentle.

The hotel looks old, it needs an update, but the service was good and comfortable.

I chose this property because it has a free shuttle to the airport, but the day we left, our plane was at 10 am, and the shuttle didn’t start before 10, so we ended up going by taxi which was very expensive. The air con in the room was very very noisy. So we had the choice between sleeping in a quiet but hot room, or not sleeping in a fresh room.

The room was spacious, equipped with a nice working desk, sofa, kitchenette, and bathroom. Cleanness and comfort was satisfying. The hotel was close to subway station (5-7 mins of walking distance), restaurants and convenient stores, and situated in a charming and tranquil district of Jersey city. The breakfast was simple but you can find essential things like hot coffee, toast, eggs, butter and jam :)

There was no sink in the kitchenette. It was not convenient to wash some fruits or coffee cups in the bathroom. There was a coffee brew machine but no coffee nor filter was provided.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit older but so cool with a lot of charm. I was happy with how clean it was and it's a nice cool cultural area and walkable. Parking is non-existent but there is a nice ramp down the block on a dead end and I felt safe parking it there. I felt safe in the hotel and I definitely would go back!

Good price for money. Journal square was just a 5 minutes walk from the hotel, so it was easy to reach Manhattan. Breakfast was good enough and the staff was helpful. Especially Christina at the reseption was very helpful and friendly. Room was cleaned every day.

There was a slight strange smell in our hotel room. Our hotel room was on the first floor and there was some amount of noise coming from outside and the lobby, but it didn’t bother us that much.

The luggage room is really helpful, we wanted to experience as much as we could in NYC, so they kept our luggage after check out and we came back for it 5 hours later. Housekeepers working at the breakfast room, front desk were really nice and kind.

They don’t have flip flops, the internet was not that good, but still usable.
