DanHostel is located right next to the train station and a few minutes walking from the city center. The room with private bathroom is simple, a little dated but completely functional and comfortable! The spacious breakfast room is very pleasant. You can of course prepare your meals in the collective kitchen and even watch television in the evening. Danhostel is ideal for a stay in Odense in complete independance!

The rooms facing the station platforms are a little dark and cold unlike the rooms facing the parc!!

Small misunderstanding over a late check-in. Demanding that guests make phone calls is not the way to go in 2022. Even for European phone operators, this can cost literally multiple euros per minute when roaming, as it did in my case. And depending on flaky international SMS is not ideal either. And maybe the guest doesn't even travel with a mobile phone, that is still allowed. Conversely, getting internet access is always possible in an emergency. So just send the late-checkin code by the same means the guest used to make the reservation, i.e. email or a private message right here on Booking, which is forwarded by email anyway. Yes, it's inconvenient for you, but it's bulletproof for the guest and almost all other properties manage it in practice.

The hostel is located right next to Odense central station, making it quickly accessible. Nevertheless it is relatively quiet, excluding the city tram line announcements throughout the night. The city centre and many attractions are just a short walk away. The staff is very friendly and the price for a rather spacious bedroom is more than adequate.

Linen and towels were not included (at least with our room) and have to be rented (albeit for a rather small fee). The bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly. It is also rather stressful that the check-in-time is limited from 16:00-18:00. Arriving outside this timeframe requires a check in over phone without which access to the property is not possible.

The price is great and it is located as central as it could be.

Everything felt clean, but the bathroom did feel a bit used with dark spots some places. Probably from humidity. It did not fell unhygienic or anything. Check-in times and the open hours of the reception are very limited, so that is something to keep in mind. But given the price of the stay, it makes sense.

There's a window restrictor and I couldn't find a way to release it the first night, so I could only open the window 2 cm, but I messaged the hostel and the next day they sent someone to help me The street is noisy, bring earplugs

The location is perfect. Even though it is right next to the station, there is not that much noise. The room and bed were comfortable and the bathroom was functional and spacious. The staff was perfectly friendly.

Even though I enjoyed my stay very much, and would definitely recommend this hotel, it could have been just a bit cleaner. There were long black hairs on the rented sheets/towels. There was some red mould on the grout in the shower. There was also some chewing gum stuck on the night light, however I don't blame the cleaning staff for missing it, because who does that?

It was in the Center of ODENSE so close to the train and the tram ! The rooms are amazing and beautiful

It was one old building and the didn’t have elevator so we went on the 3rd floor with 4 suitcases

Great location and an even more terrific stay. Comfy room with heaps of space and super comfy beds. Definitely the best hostel I've been to. Right next to the main train station and so close to all things in Odense. Just remember to bring linens or remember you have to pay for linens.

Linens should be included but I forget that's what hostels do.

Some items are very old and need replacement. The place could use a repainting.

Super convenient location, directly next to the station without having any train noises. The room was spacious enough for 2 people, the shower was nice with a removable shower head and good temperature control. There is no tv in the room, but the downstairs common area has a TV as well as a fussball table and some space to sit which was very nice. Everything in Odense is pretty much within walking distance anyway, but the location of the hostel is great if you are just there for a short trip and want to be able to have a central place to come back to.

Our room was facing the square outside the train station and it was super noisy all the time, especially on Saturday evening you could hear every single word anyone outside was saying, and any car passing by. The locks were also a bit funny where it sometimes took up to 8 tries to pass the card exactly at the right speed for the door to open. The elevator at times did not close the inside doors before starting to move which I imagine can be dangerous for children.
