Clean, fresh, very good location, good breakfast, comfortable beds. We really appreciated the common kitchen with everything you need and tea, coffee. Easy check in and out, video turorial also.

Not so good sound isolation. And we had some issues with heating, which were partially resolved very quickly after the first request. But still only partially. The second time we didn't ask, because it was ok also with 1 radiator. And if you have a lot of baggage or baby carriage, stairs between the parking lot and the hotel will be a challenge.

The sofa bed was comfy, the view is good, the breakfast provides local spirits for tasting which is a great idea.

from just a night of stay, I received over 10 messages from various channel which is way TOO MUCH! Have to at least brief reading through it to verify if it's important. Please just send very important message in less than 2 emails/ messages. Otherwise, it gets ignored and annoying...

It was clean and new. It had a good shower and a comfortable bed. The wifi was really good, as was the TV which was simple to operate. The breakfast hall was unusually large but a a good selection of food available

There were no staff on site. I arrived late at night, and the hotel signage was misleading. It took me ages to work out how to use the keypad to get into the room as the arrival information missed a vital instruction which was to touch the faint logo/emblem in the centre before punching in the number - you couldn't see this in the dim light! It was very stressful as it was really late so I didn't know who to contact. Luckily a couple from another room walked by, but it meant sharing my room code with them, so they could have broken in at any point after that!! I would also have preferred to have tea and coffee facilities in my room, rather than down a corridor. It felt like a hostel!

The rooms in the old sergeant training college are very light and spacious with a balcony looking out over the water. Superb beds and large modern bathroom. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and even the soft boiler eggs were..soft boiled. Normally you find then hard and rubbery. Free parking by number plate registration. Keypad entry and no reception which works perfectly. Highly recommend. Als and Sønderborg is one the the most lovely places in Denmark and the promenade bars and restaurants give plenty og options. I actually lived there in the 80s and always love going back. Point of interest..the crown prince of Denmark attended the training college..as did my daughter

Good breakfast. Quiet, mostly over 50s type of venue. Clean, simple Scandi sort of decor in rooms. Tea/coffee available on 2nd floor common kitchen.

I had to clean out shower drain as it was blocked. Location of hotel I.e. entrance a little hard to find on foot from bus station. Maybe advertise the free tea/ coffee a bit better.also advertise brekker is in adjoining building - a pity to miss it.

Great value, spacious rooms with a great view. The city center and several restaurants are within walking distance and there is plenty of car parking space nearby, including charging options for electric vehicles. Simple, but good breakfast.

I felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of messages I received, both via SMS, E-Mail and the Booking.com communication system.

The hotel is a converted military training centre I think. We were given a key code to the room in advance and only needed to register the car at check in. Room was very spacious and had a lovely balcony to see the water. Little walk into Sonderborg but fine and a pleasant walk.

Just wish there were tea/coffee facilities in the room or available in the shared spaces. Breakfast was fine but in a different block which did have easy access but it would be good to know this in advance.

Easy check in, they send you an email/text with all the info and door, and room codes, friendly staff, nice big rooms, great central location by the harbour, with great ocean views! And a fantastic breakfast buffet, as well, well worth it!

The only slight minus, with me being disabled, was the tall step, to get into the room

It was an marvellous stay. Everything was exceptional. The hotel has a free parking which is definitely a big plus. The rooms are so spacious and the balcony is such a nice change from other hotels in the same price range and even more. The couch and the coffee table makes the room homey and cozy. The coffee machine was a nice surprise for caffeine addicts like us. The bed was really comfortable and the reading light, a feature that is generally overlooked, made my night reading a delightful experience. The bathroom was also big and the rain shower head offers you the gift of a soothing refreshment. The whole room was clean, nicely furnished and new. The breakfast buffet has the richest selection that I have seen to this day. Everything was tasty, the selection of bread and pastries was a feast for the palate. The whole breakfast staff was so welcoming with their big and sincere smiles, it is so obvious that the whole crew love their jobs. Oliwia, the lady who was responsible for our table, was so friendly and wonderful. What a way to start a bright new day. We will definitely come back.

Since the building was converted from a military building, the walls were not much insulated. We could hear the talking of our neighbors through the walls. They were not so loud at all but the voices travel with an echo. I think this is really have to do with the original architecture and design of the building.
