It's impossible not to relax in this hotel. It's a hidden gem in the wood next to Vejle fjord. Best place you can find in Jutland. The breakfast is out of this world. The dinner buffet is also good. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfy and the spa is great. Parking is free and wifi is OK. The view of the fjord is magic. Good value for money.

I had to leave. We will come back next year (if not sooner). I hope that Munkebjerg Hotel keeps up the good work, keeps its fantastic restaurant the way it is and keeps its moderate prices. See you again.

Really good breakfast, beautiful building and milieu, nice pool area, the kids loved the pool although it was quite simple. The place itself is worth seeing.

The room was quite small. The ventilation was poor and there was no air conditioner, hence the room was quite hot at night. I would have also expected a minibar in the room, but there wasn't.

I liked everything. Staff genuinely friendly and smiling in all areas. A special reference to Anna in the reception who was so helpful and willing to answer eloquently our questions. Breakfast of good quality and variety. Location excellent if you want to enjoy nature. View to the sea fantastic. Cleaning personnel professional and friendly. Great surroundings. Very good quality of dinner to the restaurant. I would like to come again.

Provide bicycles for visitors especially for the ones that come from abroad.

Super delicious breakfast with many great food options (also glutenfree!) Comfortable room with nice bathroom - everything really clean! The quiet and calm forrest area around the hotel is so amazing and the view from the breakfast room is unique. Would definitly come back!

The hotel doesn´t seem to be barrier free - seemingly no barrier free entry to all parts of the hotel. Many stairs and sadly no elevator to the wellness area, which makes using the pool for many people (especially for people who may have walking problems) really hard. The signs to the fitness area are wrong and confusing - it seems like the fitness area was located in the pool are in the past but now has a different place in a completely different part of the hotel.

maybe my mistake but I didn’t realize it was so far out from Vejle and the only way to get to Vejle was by taxi which are quite pricey. it’s a lovely place as a retreat because of all the facilities but I don’t think it was a good location to visit Vejle centre. service in the restaurant in the evening was incredibly slow… head waitress was very apologetic but it was not good.

Check out was at 10:30 which push the guests to wake up early. I didn't experience this level of early check out which limited our stay to 20 hour (14:30 - 10:30)

Breakfast buffet, awesome omelette! Great facilities, comfortable beds, and hospitable staff.

Our room was a corner room, so we saw the outside wall as our primary view, it was dark in the room, compared to our previous stays. Now we will know what room to request next time. There was no soap in the shower at the spa facilities, otherwise, all superb

I really liked the food and the view. I love steak tartar and smoked fish. The food was really delicious and healthy. I stuck to the bar menu as there was so much that I liked on it that I was afraid of being overwhelmed by the restaurant menu. There were some amazing sunsets while I was there. I have never seen the colour green in a sunset but there it was! I didn't eat in the restaurant but I could imagine that it would be a spectacular backdrop to an amazing meal. The room was simple but everything was very well organised and ergonomic. It took me less time to shower and get ready in the morning than at home as everything was sensibly arranged.

I liked the view we did have, across to the fjord and the hills, and we really did enjoy the well educated and curtasious restaurant staff, simply outstanding, and the food was perfect, coun't have been done better.

Did not like to have to pay for the view, that is what should have been included with the room. The hotel has an indoor pool and fitness, but no slippers or a robe. Thougt that was beneath the class they are trying to convey, also there was no mini bar nor safe. Other than that, all was in order.

Comfortable and well appointed hotel, with lovely views from the dining room/terrace over the Vejle Fjord and views over the green and wooded surroundings from the rooms. Excellent accommodation: good beds, extensive good quality buffet breakfast (don't forget to try the home made granola!), good restaurant. Spotlessly clean. Nice swimming pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Plentiful parking, and a good location for exploring the neighbourhood - Vejle, Jelling etc. This hotel is our standard choice any time we are in the area, and we have never been disappointed.
