Charming hotel in a beautifully renovated historic building. The surrounding park is lovely. Our room was enormous and very comfortable - everything was very high quality (e.g. the bed sheets and pillows). The make-it-yourself lemonade kit in the room on arrival was a nice surprise. Breakfast location in the courtyard was beautiful.
The only thing that would make this hotel even more luxurious would be a swimming pool! Given the hot weather in Guayaquil, a pool would have been a plus. Other than that, the only downside is that you really need a car to go anywhere and there is not much within walking distance of the hotel (however, this is probably true of Guayaquil in general... it is the kind of city that you need to get around by car).

Parking disorganization, no valet parking service, during events guests get a tough time upon arrival and are told to move their vehicles during check in order to not disturb the attendees of the event

The hotel is very romantic and very classy. The house is a classic turn of the century Guayaquil house. Just loved the outside corridors and the double high ceilings. The bed was wonderful and the shower was just huuuuge. Loved the place, next time I am bringing the Misses.
Even though you could tell the hotel was not full, I was charged a $45 early checking fee. I feel they could have gone further to attract more business from me by waiving the fee our offering alternatives (Like storing my bag and having the bell person take it to my room after 3pm).

The location, in the middle of a lush forrest park. The building itself is rebuild colonial age hospice, superb. The rooms are big and very well appointed, the whole interior is just stunning. Also, their restaurant next door is amazing, you have to try it.
The breakfast is not up to par with such a hotel. Some of the staff are less helpful and nice.

Everything. The facilities, service, food, cleanliness, and some details like welcome drink(lemonade) are all excellent.
Due to Covid19, the access to the park is restricted. But you can see some monkeys and you can access to the dock to the river where you can see an amazing view.

It was our mini-honeymoon in the middle of a pandemic with curfew in place. The whole team at the hotel ensured it was a very special experience. Great job and we are very thankful.
