This is a great hotel in the heart of Cairo. Amazing location, reliable wifi, clean rooms with hot shower and comfortable beds. The rooftop has a beautiful view on the city! If you’re looking for an affordable stay in Cairo, this hotel is a good choice. A huge shoutout to the reception team for their exceptional hospitality and assistance throughout our stay!!

I chose it for convenience and it worked. The location is superb. My main concern was that I would arrive very late at night, and from the comments I understood that many hotels are just upper floors of some buildings or hard to find/feeling unsafe. This hotel has 24 hour reception at the ground floor. Finding it and checking in was hassle free and felt safe. There is also a 24hr shop to get water etc. right in front of it. Also, the breakfast was very nutritious, with a nice view of tahrir and polite staff. Good way to start a busy sightseeing day.

Honestly, the room would be unacceptable in Europe but that is fine. It is in an old building, things appear dirty mostly because they are worn out, some things are broken. The room was very noisy from plumbing noises etc+ air conditioning made it worse, i turned it off. Air conditioning worked though. There were no real windows but a transom vent facing a shaft. When one looks into other hotels in the area, it becomes apparent that these are common in pretty much all Tahrir area hotels other than international chains. So it is better to be prepared than complain: it was actually comfortable nevertheless.

Breakfast was fine. It was offered but I had meals at the conference venue. Location was very central, quiet street compared to rather noisy central Cairo. Taxis available for reasonable price at any moment. Reception guys ordered for me and told me the price in advance.

Corridors should have been more clean. But, as the hotel staff are cat lovers, I am also flexible and adore animals, so I did not mind. The room was perfect, large, right temperature and position away from noisy traffic, even a small and very romantic balcony to enjoy in the morning. No flies or mosquitoes, thank God.

The location is very special in the center of Cairo. I booked a room for three people and they gave us a suite with two large rooms with a balcony. Wi-Fi works fine.

The elevator does not work most of the time, and sometimes I need to speak with the reception so that we can use it.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel staff and friendly and always happy to help. I felt really safe the entire trip. The location is perfect with the nile close by as well as local shops and streets full of restaurants. We will definitely return and book the same hotel. We’re really sad to leave because of how amazing everyone is here.

The reception guy Saif is kind and helpful, I enjoyed my stay at City Palace Hotel, the room is clean and tidy. Everything is nearby & within reach..banks, grocery stores and restaurants, the area is safe and a few steps to Tahrir square Thanks

I really loved staying at City Palace Hotel. The best thing was the staff, always helpful and kind. Loved all of them, Abdallah, Seif, Marua, Ahmed, Mustafa. Thank you, all. The second GREAT thing of the hotel, is its location. You are steps from the Egyptian Museum, steps for Sadat station at Tahrir Square. It is so central that taking Uber is VERY easy. Moreover, you always feel safe and part of the life of Cairo. The rooftop which allows you to see Tahrir Square is an additional plus. Rooms are modern and comfortable. For the price, I believe few could match the many amazing benefits of this hotel.

The staff are very nice and helpful. We had an early check in and a late checkout. Inside is nicer than outside. The shower was hot. They have an elevator. It is very centrally located

We didn’t like the breakfast. Tried it one morning but only could eat the boiled egg the roof top terrace is a very popular spot with Egyptian youth but it didn’t meet my cleanliness standards. The toilet seat was broken. There was nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. There was no sitting area in the room we were given three single beds even though we booked a double. We couldn’t adjust the air conditioning. We couldn’t use the television. The wifi was unreliable, luckily we had mobile data
