The staff is very helpful at any time, always kind and efficient. The location is very convenient, and the elevator is a piece of art

The room was very nice, with a balcony on the corner of the building, but the bed had hair in it, and the floor was dirty

The hotel had a rustic charm I instantly liked. The hotel looks like it was built around the turn of the century, with a little wear around the edges, but the staff absolutely bring the place to life. Everyone is smartly dressed, kind, and beyond helpful. The concierge, Mr. Ahmed, knows everyone and can do anything if you ask him for help. The rooms were very clean and I have never had a bed that comfortable for the price I paid. The air conditioning made my room and oasis in a desert city at the beginning of summer. The breakfast was expansive and delicious, I just wish my schedule wasn't so packed that I would have more time to sit and eat. I would highly recommend the Cosmopolitan to any future travelers! Make sure to include the name of the hotel for any taxi drivers you will have. The address system in Egypt is not as precise as in the US.

Nothing.

The hotel is a true piece of gistory. Designed by an italian architect in the early 1900s, if you are into historical spaces and can ignore lack of rennovated facilities, than you will be charmed by it. Staff are nice and polite. On my day of checkout, I asked for a coffee after brrakfast hours and they brought it to me for free, a very nice and polite gesture. You are allowed to smoke in some lobby spaces which I liked. Now, most importantly, the noise. Ask for quite room even if less fancy if you don't want to listen to honking into early morning hours.

Nothing, except noise, but it is not the hotel fault. Plus maybe it is worse during Ramadan because people stay out late.

A must-visit if you want to see real aristocratic Egypt. Great location and a very atmospheric ambient. Once you enter the place, you feel as if you were in a film, or at least a musium. Real wood carved furniture and tapestry on sofas, an ancient elevator that moves safe, fast, and quet. Great combination of modern and history. The rooms are cosy and air-conditioned.

As you live in the very centre of the city, take into account that you may hear the street noise

The location was great. The staff were genuinely very welcoming and helpful. I left valuables unlocked but it was untouched by the cleaner. Beds were very comfy!

The breakfast wasn’t great but we didn’t mind that. However every night furniture was moved around by staff in the room above us. One night I was awake since 5pm giving me a terrible headache. When I complained to the front desk, the man there seemed to find this amusing. He said he would ask staff to be quieter but it made NO difference. Extremely annoying. Otherwise I would have given it a 9.

Receptionist Ms.Selma helped us a lot during our stay since our checking in. Rooms were cleaned by Said/Salim and Ms.Hada who were in charge of room service and housekeeping. They always helped us. Locationwise, it is really nice street that you can easily walk out in the evening and see around with local shops.

The Towels were not clean enough. Breakfast was poor. Could be better.

Location is very good: easy to find and within walking distance to amenities and points of interest. The building (from early 20th century) has a lot of character and is quite well maintained. Very spacious suite room, nice lobby, great lift - very nice.

The awkward shape of the shower cubicle (despite the very modern bathroom).

Lovely decor, a big bright room with balcony set in a (mostly) pedestrianised street a few steps from cafes, restaurants and shops. Outstanding service from the staff. A hotel with history. A really enjoyable stay.

The dining area is a bit bleak and choice at breakfast limited. No fruit or cheeses. We breakfasted towards the end of service, staff started helping themselves to the remains. Not a problem but could have waited until room was clear of guests. Limited choice of juice, teas and coffee. Minor points really.

Old world charm, desk staff was nice, good breakfast

Housekeeping. One day room was not serviced and when I went to reception nothing was done that day. The following morning I asked them to please do room in the morning as I wanted to be able to sleep in the afternoon due to the heat and a very early morning flight. Got back at two o click and he was just finishing room, floor was still wet. My request was basically ignored

The staff, location, historic building. The details, they ofder us a breakfast box to take away the day we had to leave soon. The hotel is strategically located in a quiet zone but in the very centre of Cairo

The hotel is a 3 star hotel than deserves more stars. It is totally renovated but leaving the essence of a historical building .
