The room was spacious and even though we were on the top floor, the air conditioning meant the room was comfortable with all the facilities we would expect. Bill’s restaurant was superb, and seemed popular with non hotel guests. We ate twice at the restaurant for dinner and both times were consistently good. There was a mistake on our dessert order where we were given the wrong dessert (I got the carrot cake instead of the cheese board!) but we were able to keep the carrot cake as complimentary due to their mistake, suffice to say I was very full afterwards! I had a couple of spa treatments with Memory who was amazing and I would highly recommend her for any of the spa treatments. A great location for Bonn and The Drachenfels if you are travelling by car. The views from the hotel are spectacular and there is plenty of car parking (for a few) at the hotel.

The public areas are vast, with a lot of stairs/elevators/corridors to various parts of the hotel. The restaurants were far from the Reception area, but signposts directed you to where you needed to go. Just be prepared to walk! We had a coffee and cake at the Charles Bistro, but the service was very slow. It took 20 mins just to have someone take my order! The place did not seem very busy but there were a few tables outside who seemed to be served by another food stall? Once we finished and asked for the bill, it took around another 20 mins to finally pay. I would recommend not coming here if you have time constraints.

Superb place - stunning views and fabulous architecture. This was the most expensive hotel on our recent trip - and easily the nicest - an amazing place, and DEFINITELY worth visiting even if only for a day. The spa is included in the hotel - and OMG how relaxing. Just superb. Staff are super friendly and nice, also - we checked out but forgot our swimming costumes - we came back a few hours later and they were in a bag for us!! Restaurant was surprisingly good value; yes it was expensive, but the food was amazing, and oh the view!!! We had vegetarian risotto (amazing), and the most stunningly delicious spinach dish I’ve ever had (steamed spinach in a creamy sauce). Worth it just for the spinach!!

Property was superb. One negative thing common with many German, Austrian, and other countries nearby restaurants is that they have people smoking next to your table - they should keep smokers in a separate place, as the smell is terrible, and really spoils the nice meal. At this place they kindly moved our table away from the smokers, but they should have a special place for the smokers.

This is what all hotels should be. We had been losing our mind after a little over a week in Germany with okay hotels and this place was the saving grace. I cannot understate how absolutely amazing the room was, the staff were, and the location was. The bed was beyond comfortable, and we were finally able to relax after so many other hotels. If we could take this hotel with us wherever we traveled we would probably try. If there were a way to filter hotels with this caliber that would be my default filter. 100% recommend. Also, dry the Petersburger Spritz!

This is not at all specific to this hotel, but the smoking in the biergarten (for those of us who don't smoke and come from a part of the US where it's very, very limited) made it a little difficult to truly enjoy our evning drinks.

Exceptional quality of rooms, food, as well as great ambience. We enjoyed the breathtaking view/excellent location, spacious dining and breakfast room, tasteful decor. Absolutely quiet, stands in greenery on the hill, really top notch

Sauna/ Swimming pool are quite mismanaged. Dampbad did not work. The lady-manager obviously wanted to finish her work at 2000 sharp ( then the spa/sauna get officially closed) and thus started to remove beds, mattresses, water, lock down terrace half an hour before the closing. It is quite shocking for a 5* hotel. The occupancy was quite low, but this could be hardly an excuse for non-working bar

it is a very prestigious location with great history, so the expectations were high, but the hotel delivered on the highest possible level on all levels.

if there’s one thing that feels a bit off is that one has to pay 10 euros to park the car on the out door car park, which is badly lit and a bit underwhelming and given the fact that the location is very remote impossible not to use. I understand there’s a price to pay for the indoor car park but the outdoors should be free.

Lovely rooms, soft bedding and pillows. Very quiet. Luxurious toiletries from Acqua di Parma. Beautiful lounges, bars and restaurants. Nice spa with good massages. Front desk staff very friendly, efficient and welcoming. Great first impression.

Towels were missing in our room upon arrival. Absolute no go in a 5* hotel. Also, the bathroom counter wasn't cleaned properly. One could still see the toothbrush cup marks from the previous guest on the counter. Spa was lovely but also rather small. Extremely slippery floor. Multiple people slipped within the 3-4 hours that we were there. Also, not great that one has to walk through the entire hotel and especially the lobby in one's bathrobe to get to the spa. Major minus point. Staff in Bill's as well as at breakfast were very young which is fine but they weren't as well trained as one would and should expect in a 5* hotel.

Amazing facilities, perfect service. Impressive building with a lot of history. Common areas are really amazing and the views astonishing. Restaurant is really good and I specially recommend to have breakfast: it is like a banquet. The staff is very well trained and friendly. The spa is also great

Rooms a bit too warm, in general all the building. A couple of degrees less would comfortable too and more environmentally friendly. No towels in the spa

This is one of the best hotels in Germany and this was our second stay here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is an experience you don't wanna miss. We set aside a couple of hours just to enjoy the buffet and the view. We opted to visit Köln and Bonn but there are several hiking trails around the hotel you can explore.

Nothing. This place is perfect. We'll be back.

Amazing property, the view that it has over the Rhin River it's stunning, very clean comfortable and quiet. I loved the hotel and the road to get to the property.

The only part that I didn't like was the view from my room. I didn't have view, just a wall and a overgrowth grass

Ease of arrival procedure, parking, and check-in. Great quality of breakfast. Rooms are impeccable, and the Rhine River view is breathtaking. Staff will provide for any extra requests. Good quality room dining. A couple of minutes from sightseeing or boat trips. The hotel has a great history with heads of state residing.
