The staff was absolutely wonderful—responsive, friendly, and genuinely caring! We faced an unexpected issue with our flight and had to change our booking dates, but the team handled it so gracefully, ensuring we were accommodated without any extra stress. Their professionalism and warm hospitality made us feel truly valued as guests. We also loved the range of optional tours they offered—it felt like there was always something exciting to do! Plus, the fact that they provided winter gear was such a thoughtful touch and made exploring so much easier and more enjoyable.
There wasn’t much to complain about, but if I had to suggest something, it would be to add a bit more variety to the breakfast options. A few more choices would make mornings even more delightful! Other than that, everything else was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for more.

The restaurant food was excellent in both presentation and taste, and the service was friendly and good. The breakfast buffet was similarly good & the staff were helpful in arranging experience bookings for us. The rooms were clean and as advertised.
The shower design in the bathroom/wetroom could have been better, with a shared drain for the shower and non-shower parts that allowed water from the shower to escape to the larger bathroom floor - a slip hazard at worst, and mildly unpleasant if wearing long pyjama bottoms and not paying full attention in the middle of the night whilst using the toilet (i.e. damp trouser ends). The stack of heavy absorbant towels in the bathroom suggest this is a recognised issue.

Hotel Inari has a spectacular setting on the water and across the road from a supermarket and huge tourist shop. Communication was easy and timely, and check in was simple. The rooms are as you would expect in size, and fitted out well, the shower was hot and water pressure good. We dined in the restaurant for dinner, and it was divine (reserve a table by the window if you can). Breakfast was plentiful.
Not really anything in particular for Hotel Inari, but a general observation. We find in alot of Norway and Finland that air conditioning, or in fact air circulation, such as fans, don't exist, and we've yet to see doors or windows with fly screens. We totally understand that they would be rarely used, but for the warmer weather and midnight sun, coupled with mosquitos the size of moose, we find the rooms quite stuffy. Next time we would bring a hand held rechargeable fan to help move the air around.

The location was great, right off the lake, a short walk to the Sami cultural museum (definitely go), and a market right across the street for any other things you might need. The restaurant was great, which is good because there isn't much else to choose from in town. The hotel also has a nice selection of excursions and activities with gear to borrow. We did the aurora hunting excursions with snowmobiles/sleds and the guide was very helpful. Arranging for transit to and from the airport was easy via the website.
The room was basic and small, which being there while it was cold made it a challenge to be comfortable when you wanted to stay inside.

The hotel far exceeded my expectations! As Inari is a very small, rural town, I was not expecting such nice accommodations, particularly in way of the restaurant. The rooms were clean comfortable and basic, but the included breakfast was excellent and the dinner in the restaurant was both upscale and delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. All in all, a lovely stay.
The only thing missing from this hotel was an easily accessible elevator. There may have been an elevator somewhere, but I never saw it. Though it was not a major inconvenience to me specifically, as I was only one floor up, I think a large elevator in the lobby, is a basic necessity for a hotel.

Everything was clean and the room seemed brand new. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the lakeview from the room, and it was cool to have a sauna for ourselves.
Some very small details could have made the experience even better. The sauna in the room could have been even more relaxing if the bench boards weren't creaking quite so loudly and the heat could have been adjusted a bit higher (tried the max settings, but the water just poured through the stones). Also, The oatmilk for coffee at breakfast was not great... Maybe switching the brand and making sure it's the "barista" kind would help. Or, maybe the oat milk could be left in it's original carton, so it would be possible to shake before use, which can also affect the taste?

The breakfast was nice. I liked that they have salmon slices for a protein, not just sausage. Other breakfast items are comparable to other hotels I have stayed in during my visit to Finland.
I had one of the new rooms with a private sauna. I think that there were some design problems in making these rooms: 1) no dispenser for facial tissue in the bathroom 2) you can only hang clothes back-to-front in the closet, not side-to-side 3) the shower floods the bathroom floor. The drain should have been put in the shower area, not outside of it 4) the rooms were not very sound-proof. I could hear my neighbors sometimes 5) the room had a funny smell. I opened the window but it did not air out 6) there was a light switch in the bathroom that did nothing. I think maybe it should have turned-on the lights in the sauna. I could not find a way to turn those on.

The room was very spacious and clean. It was very unfortunate that we had only 1 night to stay. Would have loved to stay longer. The room was overlooking the lake and we had a sauna in the room, it was great. We also get to see the northern lights, which made our experience unforgettable. The breakfast was delicious and had a very sufficient selection. Overall we had a great experience, definitely recommended.

We stayed for 6 nights in a double room with private sauna and lakeview. The room was in a separate building, and had a private entrance from the outside. Insulation was really good, and with the floorheating, the room was cosy and warm even in the minus twenties outside. The room had a separate entrance hall, with a bootdrier (luckily we didn't need it), and a small garderobe for the coats and hats. The room had a huge window, but it could not be opened, only a small part, with net and fixed shades on the outer side, just enough for refreshing the air in the room. The bed was comfortable, really warm blankets, the bedlinen was crispy celan. The ensiute sauna was perfect in the evenings after the outdoor activities, and it was easy to set. The wifi was good in the room, and in the room there was an electric kettle and complimentary tea, coffe, sugar and cream powder. The view from the room to the frozen lake was superb, we could see the northern light dancing in the sky from our window!

The hotel is pretty simple and we decided to stay another night and we moved to another room that was better with lake view (upgrade). The location is also perfect to watch the Northern Lights and several other activities! Supermarket right in front of the hotel, as well as a huge souvenir store. Sami Museum just 400m away, nice walk under the snow.
The breakfast changed from one day to another, missing a lot of things, like Salmon and Bacon, that was disappointing.
