Hotelli Toivola is perfectly located close to forest with hiking/ skiing paths. It takes 25 min to the centrum of Kemi. The room was tidy and spacious, the stuff was very friendly. They stored our bags on new year night, which we spent in Rovaniemi, and put it to our room, which was the same (bigger) room! That was very nice of them. Also they provide many recommendations. The breakfast had many options, and was tasty. There is kitchen and unlimited coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the hotel, which is very practical in winter. We also enjoyed the sauna.

My hotel room was clean and had everything I needed. I had a good night's sleep because the bed, duvet and pillow were very good. Peaceful and quiet. Spacious sauna. I was able to enjoy the warmth of the sauna by myself even on the public shift. The communal kitchen had cutlery etc. for meals. Cooking could have been done to some extent too, if needed. I can recommend Toivola!

The room was a bit hot and in freezing temperatures, ventilation through the window is impractical. Breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant, accessed from the outside. This was a bit of a surprise, but the system worked and is certainly practical for the whole.

The rooms were in general very clean and quite new. Plenty of free of charge parking was offered just outside the property with charging plugs. There was a main kitchen that all guests could use as well as free tea and coffee from a vending machine at the lobby. There were multiple arm chairs and sofas as well as multiple board games to stay and relax. Sauna was offered free of charge during our stay.

The restaurant was in a neighboring building so you had to get out to the cold for a few seconds. There were minor issues with the room. E.g. some lights were noisy and the bathroom had some missing spots to be cleaned. The free tea bags were in big degree out of stock. The breakfast was OK but without great variety.

Clean and very comfortable room. Great breakfast with a lot of traditional Finnish delicacies. Staff was polite and helpful. At the reception area there a free to use coffee maker offering a variety of beverages such as cappuccino, hot chocolate, tea, etc There is a kitchen you can use to prepare your own food, should you wish.

What a gem of a hotel. 9 years I have been driving up and down Finland and I only just discovered this place yesterday. Although it only opened in 2019 I think. It is like Scandic level. Really top quality everything. Amazing new Sauna which is free to use. Really great breakfast in the Grilli next door which the hotel also owns. This place gets an 11 out of 10. I have stayed in almost every hotel in Northern Finland and this is the best. If you you are driving North and need somewhere to stay, or if you are visiting Kemi area, look no further, this place is brilliant! I will be staying here every time on my drives up and down Finland now.

Kristiina was really lovely. She sent me a message with useful information prior to my arrival, and she was there to help with anything you might need. The room was very clean and nice. We also enjoyed the breakfest and the coffee in the hotel's restaurant. We stopped twice in 2 weeks during our vacation to Lapland, and we will for sure come again during our next visit in the area.

There is nothing to complain about.

The breakfast is so nice, we like it so much. The room is very clean and quiet, and there is a free parking lot for customers. The staff is so nice; they always keep in contact with us to ensure we can reach successfully and enjoy a wonderful night here.

The room was cozy, clean, in very good condition and the bed was very comfortable. We were arriving late and had to communicate with the staff regarding the check in and they were very friendly and replied fast. Quite good options during breakfast too. A great experience!

Excellent hostess, Kristiina, friendly, efficient, informative and very hard working. Warm comfortable room with great shower n comfortable bed. Free hot drinks. Lovely walk into town. Good pub n supermarkets very close. Excellent staff. Good breakfast

Very quiet area

Very plesant overnight stay while travelling to Lapland, Lofoten etc. Extremely kind staff and hospitality. Rooms are clean and modern, like everything else in the hotel including the sauna. Breakfast good and plentiful. Will be staying again!

Some more fruits and vegetables for breakfast would be nice addition, but other than that no complaints whatsoever.
