I was pleasantly surprised, I was especially pleased with walking on the cycle path with beautiful views on my way from the train station to the hostel, which didn't last that long. The entrance to the hostel is on the side and it is located in the old train station, where there is also a flea market, it seems to offer a lot of activities, but I didn´t use them much in April. The host from the hostel was very nice and helpful, he made a luxurious breakfast, simple but tasty - I especially appreciate that he made it earlier than it is usually served, as I had to leave early the next day by train. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, I am satisfied, Savonlinna is a wonderful city, next time I would like to stay there longer. Definitely recommend :-)

Cute b&b, which used to be an old train station. We had room 1, which was very large with A/C. Dog friendly place. Great breakfast . We stayed here during the opera festival and their room rates were excellent compared to hotels. Took a bicycle taxi to the castle and it was about 10 minute ride away.

It's an old building with a bit thin walls. Some rooms don't have private bathroom, so there is a bathroom in the hallway, which causes foot traffic during the night too.

Location was ok, breakfast was also nice

There was no AC in my room and in this heat it was almost unbearable in the tiny room. It was also not clear who was the host/owner of the place. There were only 1bathroom so it was very busy, 2 should've been better for this number of guests.

Very comfortable place, well furnished the kitchen, staff very kind and present, perfect position close to the bus station and the city center.

I liked the location of Wanham Aseman Majatalo. I appreciate the staff, particularly Ella-Maria's kindness. I enjoyed the whole beautiful area of Savonlinna.

The bathroom could have been supplied with some mat next to the shower. I did not know one had to have shampoos brought over.

Old train station close by to city center. Iron and hairdryer available on site, budget options for Opera festival guests, free parking.

The building really has potential and great location - very close to everything. Breakfast was very nice and staff was flexible with the time for breakfast so we could manage to get some before leaving early.

Lack of communication through booking.com, so it was a little confusing. I had to call to get access code, but if I didn’t have data options that might not have been possible:

Reserved with only a couple of hours in advance and everything still worked out perfectly. Host and the brekkfast were 10/10. Extra bonus points because I could store my bike safely and dry my riding gear. Great value for money aswell, and the host even reduced the price since I booked accidentally for two although I was travelling alone.
