We loved our stay in this cosy B&B, most of all because of extremely friendly and caring hostesses ❤️ As other visitors early described, this is not a (soulless) luxury hotel, but a home-like experience. Wonderful french breakfast, great advices for restaurants, sights and activities. It all made it easy to enjoy the stay in Aix and around!

This hotel was truly fantastic. It was so comfortable and pleasant we skipped travel fatigue altogether and have felt totally well-rested and relaxed even since we arrived home. The room itself was spectacular. The hotel is in an area that is close to downtown but just far enough away to be totally silent at night. We could open or close the wooden shutters to either totally block out light or light up the room naturally. We were able to control the heating/ cooling unit, which was very fast and efficient. The bed was, for the first time since we've moved to Europe, extremely comfortable. The mattress was softer than the types you usually find here. We couldn't get over how much of a relief it was. We also loved the layout of the bathroom (jack and Jill sinks, luxurious bathtub, in-bathroom heater, toilet in a separate room) and the privacy of having our own mini wing of the house. The common room was absolutely gorgeous, equipped with many comfortable armchairs, a garden view, and a positively stunning array of travel memorabilia. The hosts were really wonderful. We chatted with them often, and they provided very good recommendations for local events and art exhibitions. Having breakfast in their common room felt like being the guest at a close friend's house. They sat and chatted with us on some mornings while we had our coffee, which was very friendly and pleasant. The breakfast itself was a treat. They served a fresh baguette with butter and jams, croissants, yogurts, a freshly baked homemade cake, fresh-pressed orange juice, and tea, coffee, or cocoa. You can tell the family that runs this hotel enjoys it immensely and hospitality is a passion they share. We slept great, ate wonderfully well, and have already begun planning to return.

We have zero complaints or recommendations. They are fantastic hosts with a fantastic bed and breakfast.

I loved how cozy & personal was the environment in this B&B, iteracting with Valerie & Pauline, sisters who help their parents by managing the charming historic lodging, made the stay even more pleasant. Special breakfast includes fresh squeezed orange juice & homemade yogurt. My room was lovely, with a window looking over the quiet street. It was easy for me to go up the narrow stairs to the bedroom loft. I really enjoyed my room, I stayed five days & could have stayed longer. The air-condition was perfect, & the shutters make the room dark for your sleep. If you are cold, ask for a blanket. The location was fabulous. Minutes from the center, yet in a very quiet environment. My stay here made my memory of beautiful Aix even more special.

This is a historic building, & even though I did not hear street noise, expect to hear noise within the building. The air-condition is one of the quietest that I have heard, but it is not central air-condition, so if you keep it on, expect a whoosh sound. If you are sensitive, bring some airplugs.

If you are after a true B&B experience, unlike "those hotels where you open the door with a card" (to quote a guest at the B&B) this is exactly it! It's in a great position to walk everywhere around Aix, in 15 minutes you are at the bus station to Marseille and to the airport, the main museums are about 10 min walk and the market area is even closer. The real gem though is the welcome and the care you receive from the hosts. Pauline had left some cold water in the fridge for me and Valerie was great in making me feel at home when we met the following morning. Having breakfast in the garden was lovely, I had the best time chatting with Valerie and the other guests and learning about Aix. I was served home made yogurt and cake, croissants, coffee. It was the perfect ending of my holiday. If it gets too hot to walk around, you can sit in the garden and read (will do next time I am around!) or just relax.

The rooms are on the ground floor, in a (beautiful) old building in the centre of Aix. I was at first unsure because the windows are directly on the street and I like to keep them open, which I'd avoid on the ground floor, but the street is very quiet and very safe and that was absolutely not a problem from both a safety and privacy point of view (I say this because I normally avoid ground floor accommodations, especially if I am travelling alone, but this was fine)

The location is in the old part of the town very quiet and well located to the main art museums the host was gracious and very helpful with restaurant recommendations, and oriented me to the map of the city. The breakfast was typically French w fresh squeezed orange juice, hot croissants and bread. There is a lovely garden out back and big communal space

I was not prepared to climb up a ladder to get to my bed but the bed was very comfortable.

It is a beautiful, cosy and clean bed and breakfast in a central location. The rooms are small but very nice and well-equipped, there is also a large living / dining room and a wonderful garden. The absolute highlight is waking up to the smell of freshly baked croissants and baguette that Pauline served with homemade marmalade and yogurt, and also cakes and coffee. And let me tell you, Pauline is so lovely and friendly and really makes sure that one feels very welcome. A very homey short stay that exceeded by far any usual hotel experience. I am for sure coming back and recommending this place to my friends and colleagues.

I didn't like that I couldn't stay much longer!

It’s a fantastic place to stay in Aix-en. Very close to to all of the attractions and quite as well. The rooms are decorated very nicely. Pauline welcomes and supports you at any question. This was not our first time and will be not our last time staying in Aix-en at Jardin de Marie

The room was comfortable and we could sit in the garden and the sitting area. We could also use the kitchen to make lunch. A special place to stay

Probably not quite what I expected when I arrived but Jardin de Marie really grows on you. It is quiet, peaceful and relaxing but yet very close walking distance to the city. The breakfasts were a great start to each day and our host, Valerie, was very helpful and friendly.
