Location and the atmosphere of the castle were definitely the highlights. Very nice pool, friendly staff and spacious, well-equipped rooms. The food was as pricy as the stay, but very good.

It was a long walk to bring up our luggage since there was no way to drive up with our car to the reception area.

The location was everything you would expect from a chateau overlooking vineyards...dreamy! our room had its own private little patio and gate to the pool that made our stay all the more special. We had dinner outdoors (it was starting to get slightly chilly in the final week of September) but the food and views kept you from thinking about the chill in the air.

Having arrived during the dinner service on the first night of our stay, it was a bit odd dragging our luggage through the tables of diners and then being checked in hurriedly by the lady who was doubling as the sommelier for the evening. The only complaint about the room was that the ensuite was designed so that in order to get to the bath tub and sink, one had to walk through a smaller room that housed the toilet. A minor malodourous inconvenience.

View from the property and our room was fabulous! Wonderful friendly staff who gave us such a warm welcome and were more than happy to help with recommendations on where best to visit for our short stay. Restaurant inspiration menu with wine pairings was amazing!

Our room did not have a shower fixing over bath which meant that it was hard to shower and water got on the wooden floor of the bathroom so seemed a strange choice - this seems common in France however and is easily fixed

We enjoyed our stayed at Hostellerie du Chateau des Fines Roches. Our stay started with a warm welcome by their General Director, Sébastien Gutierrez, who even helped us with our luggage. He was also very helpful with recommending places to visit, including the Wine Museum at Chateauneuf du Pape. Our suite was spacious, well stocked and quite romantic! The dinner at their restaurant was an exceptional experience! A perfect meal, paired with wonderful wine from their vineyards.

Overall I liked it very much despite some minor details. Superb dinner experience. Very nice and knowledgeable staff at the restaurant and at the reception, also shared some recommendations for winery visits. Amazing views from the pool area.

A little bumpy check-in. When arriving by car the gate is closed, and you need first walk to the reception which is not easy to find when the restaurant is serving food. It's not clear for first-time visitors that you need to pass by dining tables and get through the crowd of waiters and only when lost and asked, they'd point you to the reception. When resting at the pool area you also share the space with dining people... The bed was making noise with each movement.

This hotel is in the middle of a vineyard and built in the style of a medieval castle. The staff was welcoming, helpful and fluent in English. The view from the spacious room was beautiful, even in February. The restaurant cuisine and wine list was exceptional.

My only complaint is the internet that was not even throughout the guest room.

The chateau looks really impressive, like a set for a movie. Every detail is taken care off both outside and inside. The views from the location are spectacular, vineyards in all directions. Chateauneuf-du-pape village is accessible by foot, with some walking between vineyard plots. Staff was really friendly. Behind the chateau we had a tasting at the domain shop. The spa rounds up the experience.

Breakfast could be a bit richer, price was high for what it offered. Had dinner at the restaurant 2 evenings. But experience was different also for the same dishes. Probably due to staff rotation.

The château is stunning! Beautiful patio/restaurant area overlooking the vines. Lovely pool. Big rooms

Inside the room the furniture was bulky and impractical. (Eg. The coffee tray was hidden behind the Tv. To make a coffee you had to leave over the Tv screen?)

Beautiful hotel and surroundings

No alternative to the a la carte restaurant. Out of town, so had to walk into Chateauneuf du Pape as we wanted to do wine tasting and therefore couldn’t drive . No taxis readily available

The Hostellier was just what we was looking for in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. We love everything in it, the chateau, our room, the view, pool, surrounding vineyards and the friendly staff, very friendly and nice stuff indeed. Peacefull and lovely atmosphere. Wine tasting, boutique, spa.. 20 to 30 meters from parking to entrance. Good breakfast.
