Great location to visit this little town. The staff were very welcome and kind, thank you especially to Arelie who checked us in. The room is nicely decorated and comfortable, they gave us a room upgrade for my husbands birthday and the view was amazing. As a guest you also have a free wine tasting at the properties cave which was a nice perk also.

There was no one at reception and check-out although it was during open hours which made it not possible to confirm final amounts to be cleared up. We travelled in a very quiet time so perhaps this has something to do with it.

Room #4 was outstanding, probably the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. And the bed may be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The shower was wonderful. We had a large separate living room too. Pierre gave us a superb welcome. The rest of the staff was great too. We could walk to many domaine shops to taste wine. Their bistro was super nice. Jeff the sommelier picked a great bottle of wine for us and their superstar chef lived up to his reputation. Not to mention the killer view from our table.

Impossible to complain, but there was no view from our city center room. An elevator would’ve been nice, not that 2 flights of stairs is a big deal. Pierre hiked our bags up the stairs anyway.

A lovely hotel spread over 2 buildings in the square of Chateauneuf du Pape. we stayed in room 8 which is in the restaurant building. The view was beautiful across the vineyards to Avignon in the far distance. The room has a very comfortable bed but with an odd extra long pillow to share, that would be the only niggle, seperate pillows please! There was a little desk and coffee station room between the bedroom and bathroom with a Nespresso machine and cookies. The bathroom was large and beautifully done with the same gorgeous view. There are a lot of stairs from the car park to the room with luggage but the lovely man helped lug the cases up. You could always park out front and unload if you are more mature in age! Definitely book both the restaurants they own as both are equally good. Great stay would recommend as the best hotel for CN.

Stunning location and clearing no expense spared for the fit out of the hotel room as restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And not too formal , which was good.

I got the feeling it was a relatively new fit out for the part of the hotel I was in (over the restaurant), so there were some teething problems like lights not working properly, safe not working, windows jammed and bath towels too small. So it’s probably close to being top rated. Once they get the snags sorted. Also the website/Booking.com needs to be much clearer on how to get to the reception and car park. I drove around for 15 minutes and had to phone I. The end.

Lovely room and the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in! Great a la carte breakfast. Secure, off-road parking. They allowed us to park the car in the carpark from the early morning of our check in day to allow us to head off on a wine tour with the rental car securely parked. Highly appreciated. Staff very responsive to questions ahead of our visit. Unfortunately we didn't get time to use the spa facilities or try the restaurant (hopefully next time). Highly recommended!

Nothing negative to say.

We were upgraded from the suite to the luxury version which was kind to do, especially for a family. The place was absolutely lovely, tastefully furnished, ample tee and coffee in room, but the best was the gorgeous roof terrace overlooking the village w a view of castle and vineyards where we spent a long time in the morning. Otherwise well situated, close to everything in the village and very friendly and accommodating staff, helping w the parking and luggage (their own, but a short walk from hotel).

Location, overall good quality of the facilities despite a few irritating glitches; reception at parking - the staff carried our luggage to the room

Bathroom: a big tub and only hand shower, no protection for splashing water; no hand wash soap in toilet, no option to hang a hand towel; lights in the clothes locker continuously on due to a slightly tilted door; air conditioning blew directly to the pillows in bed - had to switch off always when in bed

I travel globally for business at least 120 days per year and Hotel La Mère Germaine is one of those very rare instances where they exceeded my high expectations and do so in every manner. The staff is outstanding, very attentive and so willing to go beyond normal to help their guests. I not only experienced this but also noticed that it was freely given to all their guests. The hotel and rooms are also very modern, stylish and exceedingly comfortable. They have two restaurants essentially across the street. Since I travelled with two dogs, I decided to eat at the Bistro and the food was creative, fresh and delicious. Of course the local wine needs no comments. On my next stay - and there will definitely be several next stays - I will hopefully eat at the main restaurant.

Everything was perfect and exceedingly enjoyable. Highly recommended!!

The rooms above the restaurant are great, some have views on the valley and offer great views, some on the street but no noise. The reception is in another building a few meters away so it might be confusing when check in. The rooms are very clean and spacious. What makes the stay unforgettable is the visit to the restaurant that is worth 2 stars (it is a 1 star Michelin), great food, fantastic wine list, excellent service, nice terrasse with view on the vineyards but inside is lovely with paintings on the walls. A great place to visit when in Chateauneuf du pape, right in the heart of the village.

Everything was great, a little pricy though...

Without exception, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The availability of parking was much appreciated but I guess that it is possible that the car park is sometimes full. The Michelin Star restaurant was excellent and not as expensive as we might have expected. The recommended wines (by the glass) were particularly good value.

We were a little disappointed in with The Bistro.
