Where to start... what an absolutely stunning property in the most beautiful location imaginable. The chateau itself is very quiet with a small team to assist with anything you need. Our room was one of the smallest according to booking.com but it was huge with two very large French doors, armchairs and well stocked mini bar. Our views to the front of the chateau overlooked a huge green lawn and the other side gave stunning views of the Garonne river. The room was so quite and as the property is in its own estate there is no light pollution so we slept with the curtains open and woke with the sunrise - bliss. There is no full restaurant on site for dinner, however there is a lovely breakfast room looking out onto the river with terraces all the way round with outdoor seating. We chose to go out during the day into Bordeaux centre which is only a 20 minute drive away and stayed at the chateau Saturday and Sunday evenings to take advantage of the lovely atmosphere. We ate an amazing plate of ham and different cheeses out on the terrace in the evening sun both nights - superb. There is also a very clever 'help yourself' wine card which allows you to try different types of wine in different volumes which are then charged directly to your room.

Honestly, absolutely nothing. If there was an evening restaurant then I guess it would be useful to some but we absolutely loved the choice of evening charcuterie etc.

Lovely old Beaux-Arts chateau on the river just north of Bordeaux City. Easy drive into town. Lovely grounds and completely modernized tasteful interior. Excellent breakfast and gorgeous pool. Attractive well manicured grounds and plantings. Cordial staff. Not overly formal. Good AC and mini fridge. Excellent beds and bathrooms.

Lack of staff to help with bags, but excellent modern elevator makes them unnecessary.

fantastic location at the river. Nice historic building with all comfort. Staff tried very hard to ensure easy and pleasant stay. we appreciate the opportunity to stay until the afternoon. Lovely accommodation, will use again.

Internet connection was limited and not always stable for picture mood.

Lovely place...stunning building, very wonderfully modernized. Incredible setting on the river and very nice pool. The food is excellent (though note that they don't serve dinner). It is closer to downtown Bordeaux than we realized. But that was not bad. It was easy to drive to wine venues from there, and you felt like you were in the countryside. On the other hand, one could easily get to downtown Bordeaux from there if you wanted.

Pictures do not do the Chateau justice, stunningly beautiful, wonderful location outside Bordeaux, fantastic pool area, simple, unfussy and very relaxed. Take the boat into town, wonderful experience. Loved the wine card and the light lunches which were very tasty. brilliant staff and owners.

if you want to be very picky the AC doesn’t go very cold (in our room) however we were offered an alternative larger room just chose note to take it.

Beautiful chateaux with spacious and clean rooms. Wonderful staff, and the wine vending machine was a hit! Food prepared by staff was also excellent.

I liked that the hotel was not in Bordeaux- we had a car and it was easy enough to get there and underground parking was in ample supply.

An oasis easily accessible to Bordeaux by car. we parked less than 3 miles away at the casino/Palais congrese tram stop(free) and glided into town. The room overlooking the river was lovely and pool great. Nice staff and light dinner option.

Great location. If you are going to Bordeaux wine region this is a fabulous place to stay. Close to St Emilion and Paullac regions but a nice retreat to home home to. Our room was wonderful with a large balcony overlooking the Gabonne. Max was super efficient and very kind with great reservations and tips for our stay. Would highly recommend

The venue is absolutely stunning

It is about 20 minutes out of Bordeaux, but thankfully, we found a private driver who picked us up every morning and dropped us back every evening.

Location is about 20mins yes drive from Bordeaux so you mostly require a car or need patience waiting for an Uber. There is a boat option but expensive for 2 people one way
