Lovely very well kept hotel, lovely breakfast lots of staff who were very friendly and many spoke English, if we stay near Bourges again we will definitely stay in this hotel again

Not a criticism but the restaurant menu sounded very nice if you are eating in the actual restaurant but there wasn’t a huge choice of dishes and no dishes that sounded ideal for room service ie there was no simple dishes like pizza sandwiches etc and as there’s no real dining area in the bedrooms we were worried that what was on offer could be too messy to eat in the room especially when you’ve got a teenager and a 5 year old also the QR code in the room for the restaurant menu to order from our room only took us to a limited website in which we couldn’t actually open the menu ( tried on 3 different phones )

Just off the motorway, very convenient for a stop when traveling long distance in France. Pool, games, pétanque pitch etc. Room well equipped and very comfortable mattress. Restaurant surprisingly good, excellent service and good wines. Nice outside bar area to sit in evening. Breakfast really good. Exceeding our expectations and we’ll worth the slightly higher cost over basic Ibises etc.

Room was very comfortable with a desk and sofa. Shower was wonderful with a separate toilet. Shampoo and shower gel good quality. We had dinner and the dining room was almost full. The food was good. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive from Bourges old town but is in an excellent location for joining the A71. Breakfast was excellent and we used the well equipped gym.

The room was very warm and we couldn’t work out how to use the aircon so we didn’t sleep very well otherwise no complaints at all.

Stayed at the Novotel Bourges on our way back home to the UK. It was the perfect mid-way stopover for us as were travelling from Perpignan. Location was easy to find and super friendly staff from reception through to the restaurant. We also had our dog and there is a good size garden and outdoor dining area so he was easily accommodated. As a family of five we had to take two rooms, which meant it was an expensive stay overall (we could easily have fitted in one room as they are spacious). Beds were comfortable, food was good (although again fairly pricey as overall we spent in excess of 500 euros for the two rooms, breakfast and dinner for one night). The pool was a lovely touch and open till late so the kids could have a quick swim on arrival. Check-out was at midday which was great as we were in no rush to leave and meant there was plenty of time for a swim and shower before hitting the road again. Also plenty of games such as ping pong, pool, chess etc and a computer games room (which we didn't use).

Felt it was fairly punchy in terms of price for what was really just a stopover hotel - probably the most we have ever spent on a single night when travelling back through France. Book early to get a family room would be my advice and make the most of the buffet. We ate well! The decor is a little dated and the outdoor area was a little scruffy but to be honest not something that really bothered us. We weren't staying for luxury, this was more of a very convenient stopover.

This is such a superb place for a stop off when driving through France. Excellent location - the food in the evening and the breakfast exceeded the much more expensive hotel we were previously staying in and the pool (open until 9pm) was very welcome after a long drive. Very clean, lovely staff and well organised - we would definitely stay again.

Swimming pool with accessoires as a huge unicorn, great temperature as it was a little cloudy. Very clean. The breakfast had everything and all products were high end and fresh.

The airco had an adjustment box but this did not seem to work and seemed operated automatically. This said the room did stay fairly cool. So no real issue.

Very nice clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room and the staff we’re happy to change our room as soon as we wanted. Excellent restaurant.

It was a shame that the air conditioning problem wasn’t checked before we were allocated the room.

close to motorway, with excellent staff and good-sized rooms. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and had light-proof curtains over the large windows. Food menus are not extensive, but the food is excellent.

Although close to the motorway, the route involves multiple roundabouts which could easily confuse the traveler if they weren’t using satnav. The bathrooms and toilets in the accommodation are in need of a refurbishment.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The communal space (bar, restaurant and reception) was welcoming. Room was a good size and clean. Nice to be able to get a beer late into the evening.

I cannot think of anything negative to say.

nice pool and terrace area, location for travelling through France is great, the breakfast is amazing. staff are all friendly and helpful. the shower is powerful.

we arrived midday and the hotel had no facilities for lunch so we were hungry until dinner at 7. the toilet in the hotel room didn’t smell great.
