We had a room with a lounge area as well as a bedroom. Both rooms and the bathroom were spacious with high ceilings, typical of this age of hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent. There was free on-site parking but with limited spaces.

There were two reasonable sized fitted wardrobes for hanging clothes but not a drawer to be found anywhere for small item storage. The rooms were very clean but there was evidence of significant wear and tear (stains on walls and marks on carpets) in the room and indeed throughout the hotel.

The hotel is an exceptional example of an early 20th century railway-adjacent grand hotel which has maintained many original art nouveau period features. It is still run by descendants of the original owners, and the staff are clearly proud of the hotel and are very obliging and welcoming. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the grand dining room. Our large, sunny room was also of the period, renovated to provide modern conveniences. We were able to park for free on street, outside our bedroom window.

Wi-Fi connection in the room was unstable. Our room had no shower, only a bath with hose-tap. It lacked a handrail to assist guests to get in and out of the bath safely. Next time I would ask for a room with shower.

The decor of the hotel is all in the Art Deco style right down to the tableware - we loved this. Staff were helpful. The location is very convenient for the station, also just a short walk to what seemed to be the main area for shops and restaurants. We missed it completely but the old historic part of town is also very close by - turn left out of the hotel (we turned right!). Small parking area.

Restaurant was closed on Sunday evening (but they provided suggestions. We actually found a lovely little place serving the best tagines). One slight disappointment. We were asked to upgrade our room as only certain rooms take dogs, but the one we got was not as per the photographs for this category. It was absolutely fine but didn't have the roll-top bath and lovely tiles which are pictured.

Nice historical hotel. staff really nice. ,,10 min walk to famous bridge..5 min from train station. room quiet despite closeness of station. no lift and hotel at top of hill . 15 min walk to other end where gardens are. Bed comfortable, water pressure good. wood floors in room so you will hear others walking above you, but it's 100 year old place. breakfast good, did not try on site bistro as it's closed Sundays.

The hotel is rich in period features from 1911 - art nouveau into art deco. It's not tired or shabby but a little worn which only adds to the character. The stained glass windows in any of the public rooms are magical on a sunny day. The staff could not be more helpful or obliging. They seem glad to have us there. Such a pleasure to eat in the grand and elegant restaurant. Dinner at €22 is a steal and the quality of the was excellent.

Room 22, no shower curtain or screen. The convenience of the station is offset by some noise at night in additiion to the usual traffic.

Lovely period hotel in good condition. Our bedroom had a bath and quality towels which was much appreciated as we had just finished 3 weeks walking the Gr65 Chemin St Jacques. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I loved it's old worldliness. Also great location if you're taking the train. We had dinner at the hotel and food was good and service was great.

Breakfast could have been better for €10 each. We got coffee and juice which were OK but bread was not fresh, maybe because it was Sunday. We had much better breakfasts incl cheese, meats etc in other hotels for same price.

The hotel staff are lovely. The AC in the room is great and there's a nice bath. They kindly let me park my motorbike in their garage and then I could use the lift to carry all my gear to my room.. Lovely building.

The hotel is getting a bit tired and run down and the price is a little too high.

It had a lot of character and was centrally placed for both the station and the town. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The dinner in the restaurant was superb.

It needed some updating of decoration. The room we stayed in had a bath with shower, but no shower curtain. It was not possible to stand up and have a shower.

Fantastic art deco hotel opposite the railway station. Room was massive with a comfortable standard double bed. Bathroom had some mould on sealant and toilet seat had seen better days. Main public areas were very nice - clean and with period features a plenty. We ate in first night and the food was fantastic a 29Euro menu with 4 choices of starter, main and pud and a reasonably priced wine list. Staff were efficient, friendly and funny. We'd stay again.

We arrived just as the restaurant was closing but the chef was happy to stay a bit longer and serve us one of the best meals we'd had in a long time. The owner/stroke manager was charming and nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast staff the next morning were equally as nice ps The room was pretty lovely too! Perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing.
