The hotel is on a quiet road by the river Oise. We chose it when visiting Chantilly because the reviews of the restaurant were glowing and we were not disappointed! The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We were glad we booked ahead for the restaurant as it was very busy on both nights. The room was cosy and fairly standard but it was very comfortable, quiet and overlooked the river, which was lucky, and for the price it was good value. Breakfast was ample and also good value. Wifi worked fine and there was free parking right outside the front of the hotel. The staff were all very competent and friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

There was nothing we didn't like.

The staff were incredibly helpful and stored our bikes securely and gave us fresh, cold water when we returned from a day at the Olympic Games (after checking out). Super location next to river and train station and although we didn’t eat there, the restaurant looked and smelled great. Very quiet rooms - we had adjoining rooms for a family of 5.

It wasn’t a problem for us, but we were on the third floor with no lift which may be difficult for some people.

If you're going out at night, make sure the hotel staff show you how to get back through the side gate. It's not a problem if they explain it to you in advance.

this is our second stay at hotel de L’oise, the first being somewhat of a Jim Morrison pilgrimage. if you want a traditional French hotel, in a lovely traditional French village, with exceptional hosts, friendly locals, truly outstanding food and hospitality, please make sure you come here. we were on our way to our Paris wedding ceremony and the lovely owners were as delightful as on our first visit. we love you Auberge de L’Oise!!!

The room was exceptionally clean, bright and pleasant, the staff were very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant was very good with excellent choice and generous servings.

The access to the rooms and corridor decor suggested the room would be dark and traditional - which it was not. Although the bed was comfortable it was a standard double and the pillows were very hard. The restaurant was expensive.

The hotel is in a lovely location, overlooking the river. Our room was bijou, but perfectly formed, very clean and well-equipped. The balcony with table and chairs was a real plus. We dined in the restaurant on our first evening (our wedding anniversary) and everything we had read about it proved to be true. The 4-course €46 menu was supplemented with a fish paté with croutons as an amuse bouche, a sorbet with liquer and glass of Champagne as a palate-cleanser after the main course, and petit fours at the end. So 4 courses effectively became 7. Portions were very generous (almost too generous!), and every dish was beautifully presented and cooked. All-in-all, a fabulous meal. The breakfast was again substantial and varied, with lovely coffee. All-in-all, a super hotel, in a lovely setting, with friendly staff and excellent accommodation and cuisine. We hope to return one day.

What didn't we like? Nothing - it was the perfect stay!

Location was very convenient for our journey, the staff were delightful, the room was warm and the bed was comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic - I would happily visit just for the meal, so having a bedroom upstairs was a bonus! I have no doubt we will stay again.

Only minor issue was poor sound insulation between rooms, which is understandable in a building of this age - and didn't actually disturb our sleep which was very peaceful.

We chose the location for its proximity to CDG after a very long flight and pick up of car rental. The hotel is a classically old hotel with a lot of charm. The rooms are therefore small with stair access. We were on the third floor which may have been difficult for some people with large luggage. The room was basic but adequate and reflected the age of the building. We were extremely tired after travelling for 2 days and we slept well. The bed must have fine. Food at he restaurant on-site was fantastic. All guests appeared to dine there as well as those from the village. Hidden gem!

The bedroom decor had a touch of Barbara Cartland (very pink)! The overall experience far outweighed the size of the rooms. As a tall man, I did hit my head several times on the sloping ceiling! My wife thought this was very funny as she is short!

The hotel was well located for our two night stay and trip to Parc Asterix. The staff, especially Bernadette, were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the flexibility of being able to come back late one night. The breakfast was very good value, with a decent range of choices.

Very comfortable rooms with a lovely view of the river. Excellent facilities. Friendly staff We thought we had one room and ended up with joining rooms, excellent for nearly teens to have their own space, and bathroom, after 3 weeks camping.

We booked as somewhere near a train station to get to Paris. Our fault for not checking train times. There are no direct trains from the little station.
