Rooms were generous in size and spotless.. sheets were spotless, bathrooms, wardobes e.t.c. A good fragrance in the space and not overpowering or musking/masking. Receptionist was very attentive and spoke 3 languages. She was able to accommodate our request for a loan of a UK/EU charger too. A lift was available too.. again everything spotless.. all the buttons and mirrors e.t.c.

Breakfast selection seemed limited compared to the IBIS Styles.. No freshly pressed Orange juice or choice on cold meats.. No tomatoes at breakfast e.t.c. Breakfast was ok but just felt a bit basic for EUR 8.70 a head.

The hotel is perfect for a 1 night stopover. The staff were very polite and the room was very clean and comfortable. There is ample parking as you'd expect. One thing that I thought that was worth mentioning for those travelling with bikes on their car, I asked if there was anywhere I could lock my bike up for the night (rather than leave it of the roof of the car), and the receptionist was more than happy than the bike could be taken up to our room. The lift is more than big enough to wheel a bike into it. Also, there's a bus stop close to the hotel, so it's easy get into the city centre without needing to drive (again, the receptionist helped in this respect). Didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment.

We have used the Ace Hotel Chartres before, useful overnight stop when traveling to and from the UK. Good location for quick access to the roads we need and a secure gated car park. Room is fine, bedding very clean and comfortable, breakfast very similar to other hotels of this category. We always enjoy their good coffee.

I do get annoyed by people who do not abide by the no smoking rule! On first entering the room there was a faint lingering smell of cold cigarette. I have an acute sense of smell and this could not be mistaken for stale air freshener or anything else. I could have asked for a change of room (which might not have been better) but we had been delayed by ferry and travel disruptions and were late for our restaurant table in the centre of Chartres. On a cool night leaving the window open whilst out helped but it should not come to this.

One of the best rooms we have stayed in this trip. Only booked for two but allocated a room with a huge double and two single beds. Having spent the previous two in Ibis Budget hotels this 3 star hotel, for similar or less cost, was light years ahead. Bright light decor instead of dingy grey, space to lay out two suitcases for overnight organisation, effective lighting, big gleaming bathroom, powerful shower, exceptionally clean room and well-made up very large bed. Friendly reception and no hassle to move on. Very close to a superb boulangerie. Plenty of car parking space.

Situated too far away from the centre to realistically walk into Chartre and the commercial estate surrounding it could be any large city. However, given the quality and value of the room, this will be our choice next trip and I'll put up with the short drive to Chartre's underground central car park.

After the lovely greeting from last night's receptionist, we were greeted in the morning by a gentleman who appeared to dislike his job. He wasn't exactly rude but certainly wouldn't win any awards for his customer friendly manner. Just before we went through to the restaurant for breakfast he said., in an abrupt tone. "You pay before you eat" Whilst we were eating, a customer, left the restaurant without placing his tray on the rack, he was called back like a naughty boy and told to clear it away. All the by the receptionist who went outside yo smoke twice in 30 mins.

Easy to find using satnav. The room was large and comfortable. Very clean. Shower good .. The receptionist at night spoke English and was very pleasant and jovial- after a long journey thats really welcoming..He also loaned a 2 pin phone charger to us for the night. Breakfast was good in the main ..although we would have liked cornflakes rather than the chocolate cereal and oats.. The egg boiling machine was a nice surprise! Carparking was secure and plenty of spaces available.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No USB plug to recharge mobiles .

I have stayed at this Ace Hotel three times now and it is always a perfect place to rest my head when visiting the company I work with in Gallardon. A clean and well maintained hotel with parking behind a secure fence and gate system. The breakfast is simple but fresh and enjoyable. The rooms comfortable, warm and well designed for my needs with plug sockets and a TV. It has everything for an overnight business stay.

There is nothing I dislike about the hotel.

Conveniently place, clean. Amazing staff who were so helpful as we arrived with a flat tyre. The night staff member was so welcoming and reassuring that Marine would be able to help us on the morning and she did. she found 2 tyre companies and gave us addresses/numbers. They really went above and beyond expectations and made a potentially stressful situation much better - we had another 9 hours driving the next day!!

We have used this hotel before and its standard remains high. The rooms are ample for an overnight 'pit stop' and the buffet breakfast is classic for a French commercial hotel; plenty but limited to a 'Continental' breakfast with boiled eggs. Great fluffy towels and a spacious shower and toilet area.

Polyester duvet is not my favourite but one understand why this is used when changes are so frequent.

The breakfast was really good. The staff were really friendly. There wasn't any toilet paper in the room when we checked in which is a negative but the staff was really friendly and provided a replacement when I called down. The room was clean and comfortable and good value for the money.

There were some teenagers hanging around nearby the hotel which made us feel a little worried about the car. The shower in the room was broken were it attached to the wall, although this didn't really affect its function too much.
