I like liked the friendly staff first and foremost - Valerie ( Head Receptionist ) was excellent and helpful throughout and spoke excellent English alongside the Owner ( Mielon I think ) who was also very helpful and friendly, both with lovely smiles - made all the difference to our stay. Also Oliver who cleaned the rooms - spoke good English and a nice man - along with the other chamber-maid. Our room no 34 - looked down on a lovely garden terrace - with plenty of seating are - so when the sun's out - its a beautiful setting.. The breakfast and breakfast room was also nice - but you could also eat out on the terrace too.. The hotel was perfect for a short stay - in an ideal location only 100 metres from several bars and resturants. There was also an excellent gourment supermarket opposite the Hotel - which came in very handy..

Our room, though in an excellent position - was maybe just a little on the small side - but perfect for a short stay.

The position of the hotel was ideal. I walked from the station. I could walk into town where there were cafes and restaurants, and the river was also a walk away. I had breakfast one morning which had a good selection, and as the weather was good I ate outside. The staff were very accommodating. I was able to leave my bag at the hotel when arriving and after I had booked out.

I would say that the shower was quite small and there was a gap when I closed my door however hard I tried to pull it shut.

It was a very beautiful cosy hotel with a nice courtyard area with tables and chairs to relax, and the surrounding building consisted of the rooms. The room was small (but like most hotels) but very clean and well-maintained. The location was also very central in the city centre with access to most things that you need. We arrived very late, so all the instructions to get into the room was communicated to us and all went smoothly.

The only thing I could say is that the room was small, but this the size was already indicated in the description so we were well aware. They also gave us a bigger room with an extra single bed so that was lovely.

This was our second time in this Hotel. Like last year, we very much appreciated the calm of the hotel. We arrived just before the reception closed and the staff was kind enough to explain everything they already send me in a message as well as showing us to our room. On this visit, we even had the time to get breakfast and it was just lovely! We’re looking forward to coming back here!

Made very welcome on arrival and the hosts were very helpful. We arrived in the rain on our bikes and as our rooms were ready they were happy to check us in early and help us to store our bikes. The accommodation was small but nicely decorated and spotlessly clean and met our needs. The location was ideal for the centre or the cognac houses. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection.

This hotel is situated centrally within Cognac making it easy to visit the attractions on foot. The breakfasts were good and our room whilst not large had everything we needed to enjoy a couple of nights there. All the Cognac houses seem to do visitor tours with sampling which is a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Cognac itself is a charming town with some very nice quaint streets to wander in and a good quantity of cafes and bars are available.

The room was excellent with a pleasant view of the back garden. The wifi was good and allowed us to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline on their internet broadcasts. Free parking was available in the public car park just down the road beyond the post office.

The shower "room" was a trifle cramped. The breakfast room was rather tiny and got very busy on the first day. We went down later on the second and it was less busy and far better.

A very nice hotel with a lovely courtyard not far from the centre of Cognac. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was very small. It was quiet no noise from outside. The courtyard was lovely. Breakfast was ok

There is no car parking at the hotel but we found a car park quite close

The hosts were lovely. On arrival one of our hosts was French speaking only and the next morning our other host spoke English. Language wasn't a barrier though, as the welcome was warm and we were invited to walk around the fields and meet the horses and foals. They are clearly developing the site, which is really pretty, and its situated in a beautiful and peaceful location just outside of the town. We were able to nip into town (5 mins) to get a lovely meal, and found the town welcoming and picturesque too. The accommodation was clean and well presented and the breakfast good and adequate for all our needs.

There was a table and chairs downstairs, but it would have been nice to have some softer chairs to relax in for the evening after we returned from dinner rather than only having the table to sit at.

This Hotel is in a super location and within walking distance to local restaurants and site seeing attractions. We had a very comfortable room, compact, organised and clean, which included a separate shower and WC. The room was warm and had good size comfy bed. Our room was on the ground floor and opened onto a small courtyard area which suited us as we had our dog with us for our weekend visit. Free weekend local parking away from the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and good value.
