The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large with enormous beds, and bathrooms were lovely too. Breakfast had loads of choice and we ate dinner on the terrace one evening which was gorgeous. The swimming pool area was very nice though bar seemed to be manned only some of the time. The setting in the hills with Evian just a short ride away on the free to ride funicular train was great too.

The key to one of our rooms was a bit tricky to get the hang off - definitely a knack too it but it was a beautiful door! Also there is a lovely little bar at the front but I didn’t see that open during our stay- may have missed it or maybe used in winter perhaps.

Character and charm which is hard to compare with newer hotels, the aged look of the grounds is like a storybook. A treasured experience to consider when booking in Evian. Quiet location, very relaxing.

Bathroom need renovation and or more up keep. Mattresses are hit or miss in terms of comfort. But overall not the worst. Regardless it was a quiet and restful sleep.

The room was very big, nice and clean.. Always warm although the weather was really cold. The price was also very good.. Beautiful room at a beautiful place

The only thing that i didnt like was that the hotel's restaurant was closed and if you were hungry you should go to another hotel.

It was a complex of buildings in a nice setting. We did not use the pool or breakfast, but did have a lovely dinner in the restaurant. Staff was great. The room had what we needed. The woman at check-in spoke English and was very helpful and pleasant. She was a great start to our trip!

Lovely comfortable hotel in the hills above Neuchatel with an excellent restaurant and a beautiful pool. I would happily stay again.

The restaurant staff were very friendly seemed like total novices, which was strange for such an otherwise excellent hotel! Hopefully they will improve quickly.

We’ve booked La Verniaz hotel, but it was some issue with it and we very placed at the Ermitage hotel. Exceptional service! The attitude to the guests as for VIP persons. Was very pleasant.

Love the design of this place. Also want to note nice park and the territory, good cosmetics in the rooms and in SPA.

Location very peaceful and private

Room was poorly furnished with very old furniture. Bar and restaurant lacking any atmosphere at all and did not encourage us to eat or drink there.

the pool was closed in the morning. After we have complained and asked for some compensation, we have received a free breakfast for one person.

Couldn’t get a coffee at breakfast for over an hour (understaffing I suspect), restaurant didn’t have vegetarian options so we had to go into town looking for dinner.
