This is possibly the best property I have stayed in for many years. The building itself is beautifully grand property and could not be better situated in a lovely part of Honfleur. The property has been renovated in a charming and extremely tasteful way, while all the amenities you would like all work perfectly and are very well maintained. The staff are exceptional, breakfast was excellent and all in all everything contributed to a calm and efficient atmosphere. Both my wife and I were sorry to leave. This would be a wonderful place to have a large event as the communal areas are also beautiful and very grand in scale.

Nothing - the place is marvellous

Such a gorgeous place to spend a few days while in Honfleur. The whole house was beautifully decorated and our room was lovely. It had great extras (coffee machine and Bluetooth speaker) and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we were even treated to homemade cake and lemonade on arrival. There is a gorgeous garden to sit in, including a little garden room with sun loungers where you can have tea. A really beautiful place

The only downside (if you’re driving) is the lack of parking. There is free, large car park a couple of mins walk away which is close enough to be a good compromise, except it is very busy and as we stayed at peak season in the middle of August it was very difficult to find a spot. We arrived around 4pm on a Sunday and there was no space available so ended up paying for parking on the street (also very busy) and returning to the free car park around 7pm when we were able to snag one of the few spaces that had freed up. Just something to keep in mind if driving!

We loved La Petite Folie! Super staff, very welcoming. Nice touch with afternoon cake, lemonade, coffee and tea in the very comfortable living room. Huge room, a suite really, with kitchenette and dining table - and a view of the park opposite. Very quiet, yet just a few minutes walk to the old harbour and markets.

The breakfast basket was just average - lots of carbs (bread, croissants etc) when it would have been nice to have had fruit or something lighter. A small point however given the high quality of the stay overall.

La Petit Folie was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The customer service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff making us feel warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect—right in the heart of Honfleur, allowing us to easily explore the charming streets and nearby attractions. The rooms were beautifully decorated, with an incredible attention to detail that made each space feel both luxurious and cozy. It was clear that a lot of thought went into every aspect of the property, and we truly appreciated the comfort and elegance of our surroundings. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like. If anything, I wish I had booked a longer stay to enjoy more of the property and the lovely town.

La Petite Folie was a wonderful experience. It is a beautiful historic building and our apartment was gorgeous. Two large rooms, beautifully decorated in traditional style but with modern comforts. It is steps from the centre of town, with its historic sites, restaurants and shops, but set on a quiet, narrow street. A bonus was the staff -- Mikaela in particular with whom we had several enjoyable, informative chats. One day we enjoyed tea and cake that she set out in the living room. We also met the manager and had some friendly conversations with him. Honfleur is a lovely, fascinating town and also an excellent base for visiting other places in Normandy. We stayed for five nights and returning to La Petite Folie evening was like coming home.

We would have liked a dishwasher! But we made do.

This is a beautifully decorated, very central boutique hotel. Every room is different and gorgeous (we were travelling as two couples so I saw at least one more hotel and peeked into two more as we were checking out). The host is very nice and has been in the hotel business all his life. He is very friendly and helpful. The rooms have everything you might need. In the last month, we stayed in 6 different hotels, including a Four Seasons Hotel. This experience can easily compete with that.

Nothing. Would love to go back and stay in every single room. Just beware that there is no lift.

The location was ideal for exploring the town of Honfleur and launching adventures to other parts of Normandy. Very charming and quaint. Valerie, the host, offered lemonade and cake on arrival, which was delicious and she was extremely helpful with local knowledge throughout our stay.

We were at the top of a 4-floor walk-up so getting the luggage up the stairs was a workout. But needed to burn calories to make up for all of the croissants and pastries we were eating so no big deal.

We stayed in the Monet Room. It absolutely lovely, spacious, beautifully decorated, with loads of windows and natural light. Location is as good as it gets in Honfleur.

Two very minor things is that 1. You have to pay for parking if you want park right by the location, otherwise there is a free parking 200 meters away. And 2. There is not a decent coffee machine in the room, and I need my coffee in the morning! (just a Nespresso machine would go an incredibly long way)

Absolutely beautiful and tasteful decoration in keeping with the French aesthetic. Excellent quality of all decor furnishings the linen, kitchen and all appliances. The location was terrific very central and yet quiet and private. Wonderful calming garden and a delicious afternoon tea and cool drinks on arrival. Everything was top class from the staff to the facilities to the setting. Thank you

The only adverse issue was our arrival as we did not realise there were two entrances one at the front, a pedestrian area and one at the back a large easy road. We had missed the email explaining this issue. Remember to check your emails even when travelling to have all current information at hand.

We have just had a week in France touring Normandy and Brittany, staying in five different hotels and by far the best by a long way was La Petite Folie, very warm welcome on arrival by our lovely host and owner Sukru who showed us around the really beautifully furnished lounge areas, garden etc. He then took us to our room which was delightful so nicely decorated, it had everything you could possibly need a sink a very well stocked refrigerator, water, tea and coffee making facilities. The room and bathroom all looked so clean and well appointed in fact it seemed brand new, spotless. Great shower and all the little things you required were supplied, shampoo, soap etc. The bed is extremely comfortable, bedding immaculate, perfect for a good night’s sleep. Outside the garden was again a delight to sit in, stunning plants all so well cared for, table and chairs, hanging chairs, all you could possibly want. Very close to the harbour area and all the restaurants etc, parked outside the rear of the hotel, a bit expensive but there is free parking 300 metres down the road. We both would thoroughly recommend this hotel as it ticks all the boxes, and on speaking to other guests staying there we all agreed that we would return here without hesitation
