Beautiful chateau in a beautiful area. We had a fabulous view and the sunset was amazing The room was very large and had a comfortable bed. Good shower etc
Firstly, no kettle, tea/coffee making facilities, or anywhere to make one. Secondly, the remote for the tv was missing, so couldn’t watch anything. No air conditioner, but they did have a fan, which wasn’t great for such a big room. The Wi-Fi was ok, but not brilliant Someone said on a review “the breakfast was excellent and had a lot of choice”! No it wasn’t….we had to ask for cups and plates, hardly any breakfast stuff left, nothing was replenished, not even the bread for toast!

The surroundings are delightful, a beautiful building in pretty grounds. Our room was very spacious with windows out onto the front of the chateau, and tastefully decorated. There were tables and chairs available outside and several guests were sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. All the staff we met were friendly and efficient, they also spoke very good English.
The room was quite warm on what was a hot day, as it is on the ground floor I didn't want to leave the doors open, a fan in the room might have helped keep it a little cooler. The bathroom is painted in a purple colour which makes it look quite dark, not ideal for doing make-up in the mirror.

This B&B is in a castle. It has 12 B&B rooms and on top of that it houses mentally disabled children (but we haven’t seen any). The profit made by the B&B flows into financials of the institute for the disabled children. The room was very spacious with a sitting corner and also a desk with a chair, the bathroom has a separate room with a toilet. We had a nice view on the front garden. The personnel informed us quite well on possibilities where to eat. They also spoke English and escorted us to the room. There was a pantry we could use to even cook a small meal if we had wanted. The breakfast was extraordinary good; more varied than we have seen anywhere on our trip in France in such a small B&B. There’s an adjoining small forest on the castle grounds where we went for a walk. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and we can fully recommend it.

Lovely room. Good views. Very nice surroundings, with lounge and a small kitchen to heat up food and make tea. That’s why we love it here. Walks in the forest and lovely trips out nearby.
I love it here but our main thing we’d like to change is that breakfast finishes too early at 9am. We have usually had no sleep on the ferry then a long (8-10 hour) drive. There is no way we want to get up at 8 am for breakfast. We would love a bit of flexibility on timing of breakfast, especially as it’s mainly a self service breakfast, and always very good. Now we book a room with no breakfast, and drive out to the bakery. But if breakfast could stretch to 10.30 am it would be so lovely.

It was lovely staying in a real chateau, at a reasonabke price. The room itself was spacious with a king size bed, the bathroom was modern. No tea/cofee facilities in the room, but there was access to a kitchen down the hall with a fridge and oven, some pots, cutlery and crockery (unfortunately no kettle or mugs, and no microwave, but we made do boiling water in a saucepan in the evenings) Continental breakfast is provided though, with filter coffee, tea, juice, bread, croissants, fruit yoghurts, cheese and ham.
Would be good to have acess to mugs and kettle in kitchen, and cereal other than cornflakes

Lovely stay at this beautifully cared for Chateau, which supports a school and arts ateliers Beautiful room, friendly staff, beautiful grounds. In November the room was lovely and warm The breakfast is very good ( if a tiny bit too early a finish at 9 am on weekdays, 9.30 on weekends) We love everything about Chateau de Briancon and stay regularly on our way up and down to Roscoff.
A slightly later finish time at breakfast would be so much kinder for those of us who have driven whole days and need some rest. 10/10.30 would be a little more gentle on the tired spirits Other than that, this place is excellent

The chateau was interesting and nicely placed in the countryside with pleasant walks into the forest. I was glad to find that there was a lift, though I did use the lovely staircase too. The room was really large, clean and fresh with modern furniture including two armchairs. The bathroom also was very large and smart modern in style. The toilet was separate. Everything was good and better than I expected.
The only slight disappointment was that as there were only two couples staying, to save buffet wastage, we were asked to make our breakfast choices the evening beforehand and everything was delivered to our room on a tray. We would have preferred to be given the tray in the breakfast room. Nevertheless the breakfast was very good.

Fantastic old building with modern bedrooms, rooms were massive and spotlessly clean, very quiet and peaceful area surrounded by woodland, and all money made on rooms goes to local charity.
Nothing, would highly recommend this place, wish we had stayed longer!!!!

Historic, enormous chateau, located far from all bustle. Huge rooms, bathrooms and beds. Quiet and unassuming atmosphere. Lovely, low-key service. Excellent breakfast (served early). Lovely, grounds. Surrounded by fields. Very quiet. A minimum of 10 - 15 minute drives to restaurants, pop-ups, and bars. Excellent value!
Some parts of chateau, some of the out-houses and areas of the gardens are used as a clinic for autistic children, offering respite care for the parents. Once you know this, the overall 'institutional' vibe comes as no surprise. It feels like a health clinic... or 'accommodation' for a very nice hospital. Don't expect 5 star comforts, this is a working building that allows guests to stay to help finance the operations. The surrounding countryside is rural, very quiet.

Location if you are driving south from Calais it’s 5 and a half hours. Immaculately clean, never seen cleaner floors before. Little kitchenette adjacent to room with microwave, fridge etc so we didn’t have to “go out” again once we got there. Standard room was large with plenty of space. Great views and huge windows and electric blackout shutters. Lovely lounge downstairs and breakfast was substantial.
Another lamp on my side of bed would be good.
