Room and facilities were nice. Doors to the rooms have dead bolts which was comforting. Door to the building required a key which was also comforting. Staff was nice, pleasant and patient as there was a bit of a language barrier. Not a big tourist area so be prepared to use Google Translate or communicating with staff via text. I would most definitely stay here again!

Not really a dislike just more a difference in culture, the hallway to the water closet was almost pitch black, was a bit weary walking to it. Another cultural difference is that this is small private business so they are not open 24/7 like big hotel chains, so you have to check-in before 11PM.

Brilliant! Beautiful old fashioned bistro accommodation. Don't expect 5* luxury but if you want a comfortable, quiet bed at a great price you can't do better.

My daughter didn't appreciate the communal toilet but she's a princess! A sacrifice worth the price.

Absolutely as adverised and exceptionaly good value. Great location for a morning boat out of Cherbourg. The restaurant has an open wood fired grill so a good bet for beef lovers. And gratifyingly busy. Had a very nice meal. Nice staff even tried to fit my bike onto the enclosed terrace but in the end it was fine parked in the street right below my bedroom window. Can't fault them! Room had shower and lavabo but the loo was at the end of the corridor. Nice comfy bed.

Good sized clean room, newly refurbished. Good shower, wash basin and comfortable bed with clean bedding. The restaurant downstairs was excellent. Very busy, but they found me a table and I had a fine steak. Friendly customers and I chatted to the people on the next table.

The doors of the rooms were on strong springs and banged loudly as they shut. Only one shared toilet. However at the price this was acceptable. Check in at 18:00 is late and a bit inconvenient.

Great location, amazing value for money, lovely restaurant with a roaring fire and a good set menu. Comfortable room with a plug point beside the bed.

Toilet down the hall. Very odd hours. We arrived at 4pm and there was no sign of life until 6pm. Breakfast didn't start until 9am. Breakfast was fairly basic, bread/croissant, juice, coffee, plain yogurt. I'm coeliac, so not a lot for me.

Really friendly place,nice little village. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Shared toilet but that's reflected in the price. The evening meal Ihad was superb,all the locals use the restaurant the foods so good.Cycle friendly, I was bike touring at the time

Very cosy French chambres d'hôtes in a small town. Right next to shops and bakeries and great food served in the restaurant downstairs. Close drive to the beaches and local sights.

Shared toilet for the floor, clean but can get busy.

The location was ideal for what we wanted, the breakfast was good, with no problem getting more coffee or bread.

We would have liked our own toilet, other than that no problems.Great 2 days

Friendly staff and central location. The restaurant was busy in the evening with a good atmosphere. The food was excellent and great value. The rooms and breakfast are both adequate.

Our room could have been cleaner

When we arrived the young lady who was on duty knew that we were coming, welcomed us, told us the arrangement for breakfast and reserved a table for us to dine that night. She then showed us to our chambre and ensured that we had everything that we might need. She combined efficiency, with courtesy and friendliness. The bedroom was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet and peaceful. Dinner was served in the Restaurant which was at the end of the Bar, our food was cooked on a charcoal fire in a large fireplace/hearth. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. The ambience was so relaxing. We Irish love our food, we had pork which was so succulent and full of flavour, the Haricots were tender and tasted as if they had come straight from the Potager (veg. Garden) and the Frites were crispy, dry and nicely seasoned. For desert we had the Cafe Gourmand, it was exceptional, and rounded off a beautiful meal perfectly. We had Cider to drink. It came from a local Ciderie and was full of flavour, it had to be the best Cider we have ever had in the 30 years that we have been visiting France. In the morning, our Breakfast was generous in quantity, the Bread was straight from the Bakery and the Croissants were crisp,fresh and,again full of flavour. Also, being Irish we like Tea with our breakfast, we were served Tea in normal Tea Pots, not the 1 cup size teapot which seem to be standard in French cafes. As in the previous evening the staff could not have been nicer.
