Excellent place to stay if visiting this part of Normandy. The hotel was super clean and run by a very friendly and accommodating couple. Car parking is easy with a free car park in the church square just around the corner. The bedroom was very comfortable and well appointed (note - steep stairs to get rooms), and very quiet (we were in a room at the back of the hotel. Being around the corner from the church, the bell start at 7am, so you don't need to set your alarm. Breakfast was excellent with an amazing choice of food. Only ate dinner once in the restaurant and again the food was excellent.

Would have preferred to have a kettle and coffee/tea in the room as we didn't want to take breakfast every morning and just get on our way sightseeing.

I had asked for a twin room in a quiet location and got a beautiful room at the back of the hotel overlooking a flower filled courtyard. It was exceptionally quiet as it was an annex to the hotel itself but easily accessible through the breakfast room. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable and the duvet and pillows were new and very cosy and comfortable. Although there was not a full restaurant on site - it was right across the road from a terrific restaurant specialising in Moules and Crepes as well as other full meals. The breakfast was excellent - cereals, eggs, ham and cheese, fresh croissants, home made jams, yogurts. Something for everyone. The owner was a very pleasant young man who did everything to make you feel welcome. Its this bespoke service that we liked so much. He takes great pride in his little hotel and he should. Its only 5 minutes walk from the beach. The area is very quiet at night but a lovely village to visit with a pretty village church and a 10 minute drive to the port. Definitely will be staying here on future trips to France.

Honestly we had no complaints at all. It was exactly what we needed for a night in Caen having travelled up from Bordeaux so we were rested for the ferry to Portsmouth the next day. T

Perfect location, easy to park for free in the Eglise car park 2 mins walk away. Check in was so friendly (note that hotel only opens at 4pm) and our pre-request for dietary requirements for breakfast was confirmed on check in. Double room was compact but perfect, stylish and very clean. Teenage children had a twin room which was also spotless and plenty of space. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the bar terrace watching the world go by…perfect sunny summer evening. Breakfast was fresh and lots of choice. The little town is gorgeous, full of character with a fab promenade for a morning walk.

We chose this hotel for its location which suited us for our purposes ( travelling around the Normandy Beaches area), the hosts were very kind and nothing was a problem for them if you requested anything. A 3 night stay was very relaxing and enjoyable with lovely restaurants and bars in near walking distance. The breakfast every morning was lovely with plenty of choices and on a buffet type service

Limited parking at the front of the hotel on a very busy road which was 1st come if available, but there is plenty of parking options available around the side of the Hotel so not a big issue

This place is delightful. A really warm welcome, and it seems no detail is overlooked. The couple who run this hotel do so with professionalism and a personal touch. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable. Make sure you try the breakfast...it is excellent. You can also have a drink at the bar or eat in their restaurant...really very good. In short this hotel is a real gem and highly recommended.

There was nothing I did not like.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND ... Andre and his wife made our stay absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them, I loved the fact that you had a bar to sit in and relax after a hard day sightseeing. The beds were so comfy - I normally stay in a 4 star or higher as I love my luxury - the hotel, staff, food and atmosphere were better than most of places previously stayed. Will definitely be returning if we travel that way again. Close to beach and such a lovely clean town. Thank you Andre and T you made our stay a wonderful experience. Sue and Dene Gardner - England

Absolutely NOTHING! Everything was perfect. So friendly

Fabulous hotel, super clean and rooms are well equipped and nicely decorated. Beds are amazingly comfortable and there is a great shower, both of which are important to me. The owners are so friendly and welcoming and this is probably the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in in France. Breakfast is perfect and lovingly prepared. The location in the village is spot on with plenty of free parking in front or round the corner. I can’t recommend this hotel more highly.

Nothing.

Breakfast was an excellent choice to suite many tastes and different levels of appetite. WE enjoyed a warm welcome from the hosts who were very helpful in getting us into our room. Although close to closing fo rthe winter season the host prepared a meal for us at our request.

WE liked a lot about the hotel. However, one suggestion would be to deploy non-slip mats in the shower; the slippery surface made us both feel a little insecure.

We loved the friendly welcome, the beautiful decor and not forgetting the super comfortable bed, just what we needed. As it was low season, most places were closed so the staff went above and beyond, provided us with a super meal and the bar was also open for a beer nightcap. Would definitely recommend, oh yes, I almost forget, they even got up to make us a coffee as we had an early sailing…all I can say is Thank You!!!
